Supreme experience. i walked in to the dealership looking for manual transmission SUV. Surely enough a friendly salesman offered me a few options and assured me that vehicle would be readily available should i choose to get it. There was no talk of a custom ordering or long extended period wait time. Sal, salesman, sat down with me to discuss some of the options available to lease a car, as that is what i had wanted. there was no pressure nor pushing the product on to me. Sales manager along with the salesmen were able to negotiate with me and allowed me achieve a goal i was very happy with. Price and product were beyond my satisfaction. To my surprise when i sat down with the finance manager to finalize the sale i was offered another option available to me which was even more exciting then the first. my overall summary is: Friendly atmosphere, honesty, cleanliness and supreme products are the only words that come to my mind when thinking of Island Subaru. The experience I got, on the other hand, was wonderful. Anthony was very knowledgeable about the car, he treated me with respect, and there was absolutely no pressure. He was friendly and worked with me to get the deal I was looking for. The whole process was transparent, He took the time to answer all of my questions, and the few times I repeated a question he was always patient and always made sure I understood everything he was saying. The trade in process was actually easy, I didn't have to haggle to get top dollar for my trade, which was definetely unusual. Everyone I dealt with here was friendly, and there was no push to get the signature and move on. When everything was said and done, there was no push to get me out. Anthony didn't disappear to find a new customer, he stuck around and took the time to explain everything about the car. I got the feeling that he wasn't satisfied until I was. I reccomend them to anyone looking for a Subaru. More

My last 2 cars I have purchased the process was such a nightmare that it h In my experience next to buying a house buying a car is the most stressful. My last 2 cars I have purchased the process was such a nightmare that it had me dreading having to do this all over again. My last 2 cars were a Nissan and a Honda. The dealer I decided to buy from baited me and switched the price and terms the day I went to close on the car leaving me to become angry and storming out of the dealership to deal with someone else. I walked into Island Subaru in Staten Island to only look at the truck my wife wanted. I never expected to do business because my bad past experiences were the dealers across the street and expected them to be the same owners. I spoke to Steve, my sales person and I found out that they were not affiliated. I told him my past stories and he assured me I would not have that experience there. Skeptically I told them that I am not a haggler and I would go to 3 Subaru dealers and who ever gave me the best price first would get my business. I told them what I was looking for and Steve came back with Marcus the store Manager and Jason the Finance Manager. I was shocked to hear their offer. It was a great lease price. Being the ultimate car consumer pessimist, I figured the bait and switch was put in motion. Despite the price I went to 2 other Subaru dealers the following day , one wouldn't even give me a price the other offer was $90 a month more. Once I told them I had a much better deal they stated "Well let me see what our best price can be". I stated you want to give me your best price now that you know I have a better deal somewhere else? Why wouldn't you give it to me first? Like I promised I don't haggle. I mean $90 more wasn't even in the ball park of what Island Subaru offered. I left and went back to Island Subaru. The difference in the price between them and the dealership in NJ was so different I figured there had to be a bait and switch coming. I was meet by the same team as the day before. Steve, Jason and Marcus started the process and when it was done I couldn't believe it. Everything they said and promised was perfect. NO BAIT AND SWITCH! Great honest guys. The day I went to pick up my car I ran into another customer who I was talking to. He was telling me he didn't expect to buy his car today but they gave him a deal he couldn't turn down and he was also complimentary on the honesty and the best price up front. All car buyers need to do business like this. Treating the customers right only leads to referrals and more sales. Thank you Island Subaru and thank you Steve, Jason and Marcus for the stress free buy. I already have my brother coming to you when his lease is up in December and I will keep the referrals coming. More
