Salesperson John Espinoza was a pleasure to deal with, a professional attitude, and went out of his way to make this purchase a dream. I ordered the Forester not being in a rush for the vehicle, which changed in 6 days when my Pathfinder died. Needing a vehicle immediately, I returned to see John explaining my situation, to see if I picked a different color or option package I could get a SUV that day. Rather than sell me just anything, John gave me a loaner vehicle to use until the Forester I wanted arrived. When I went to pick up the Forester yesterday there was no push for any additional items as I have experienced in the past. The lease manager offered different warranty options, again not being aggressive. Mr. Espinoza spent over an hour going over all the controls and features, explaining them to me until I was comfortable, answering questions and setting the vehicle up. John also gave me a call the day after to see if I had any questions or concerns. More
Kind, courteous, helpful, professional I have been a fan of Subarus for some time although this was my first purchase. When my wife and I arrived on a Monday mid day it was busy. All the sales reps were with other customers at the time, so we just sat down and waited. Nearly 30 minutes elapsed before I decided to ask for help because noone seemed to know we were there. Once of the managers literally snapped to attention, was profusely apologetic and introduced us to Daylin, our sales rep. She is a lovely person-warm, friendly, down to earth but very professional at the same time. She immediately began helping us decide on the type of car that we wanted and best suited our needs. She balanced taking our lead with being appropriately suggestive in terms of make, model, and features. This is a relatively new career for her but you would not know it from her basic knowledge, training, and above all people skills. After our purchase some minor problems came up the same day that reuire service. She was responsive and served well as a liaison between us and their service department. Knowing that I have little time to spend at the service department she offered to come to the house, get the car for service, and drive it back. I realize that this may be standard under such cirsumstances but the offer was gracious and greatly appreciated nonetheless. In addition the manager on duty and the fionance manager were helpful and responsive. I highly recommedn this dealership and Daylin above all else. More

I worked with Dennis on the purchase of my 2017 Impreza, and feel that he was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process of trading in a lease, and took the time to address financial questions and concerns. I feel that he went above and beyond to answer my questions, and put me at ease with the entire leasing process. He installed my car mats, offered to fill my gas tank, and thoroughly walked me through all the features of my new car - I feel that I received the best possible service at this location. More

I was very happy that Island Subaru didn't give us the usual cheesy slimy salesman experience one would expect from a Staten Island dealership. We dealt with Dennis who was a complete gentleman and VERY knowledgeable about each model, trim level and accessory packages. He was not pushy, but very interactive. If I had a question at any time during the process, he would text me back within minutes or take my voice call right away. He bent over backwards for us and we would go back to him or recommend a family member to Dennis. Mike from the finance department was wonderful. We had a question after the sale and he got back to us. Thank you, Mike. We decided on the Island Blue Pearl 2017 Impreza 5 door Sport and so far, we love it. He was friendly, patient and kind throughout the whole process. He even pulled the car out of the tight spot it was parked in so that I could easily leave the lot. He is the youngest salesman I have ever had to deal with and by far the most knowledgeable. Thanks Sam! More

(I've had some really bad experiences) Dennis listened to what I wanted in a car, went out of his way to find the exact color and model that I wanted and worked with me to keep my payments as low as possible. He helped me get a competitive interest rate and the highest trade in value for my trade in. Once the car arrived he called me immediately and accommodated my change in schedule by providing me in advance with all the information required for the car to be insured and registered so I could be in and out with my new car as quickly as possible. He went over all the features and was patient in teaching me how use all the features on my new car. I highly recommend him and Island Subaru. They provided great customer service and the most delicious corned beef and cabbage I have ever eaten. More
First time I felt a Car dealership was working with me Saw a used Legacy listed on the dealers website for a good price. Went though the online process of scheduling a test drive for said vehicle. Arrived the next day to be told the vehicle was gone I was alittle bummed out. But the Salesman Marvin was a very nice and helpful guy and sat down with me and listened to what I had to say and what I was looking for he never once tried to push just one particular car on me he let me explain my needs then walked around the lot with me checking out every used car we thought might fit my needs. Once we found one we test drove it and he proved very knowledgeable of the vehicle in a way that didnt seem rehearsed or just rehashed from some script he was supposed to read from. Once I decided it was the car I wanted we went inside and before he ran credit or anything we went over the vehicles car fax and all the listed work the dealership had done on the car. That was reassuring that I knew what had happened with the car before it came to the dealership and after all before I had any real stake in the vehicle(i.e running a credit check etc). Once I was satisfied with everything about the car the process of the credit approval and all that was quick and easy. I was introduced to Mike the finance manger who laid out the numbers and answered every dumb question I had. I left to go get someone to drive me back so I could drive the vehicle off the lot that day. In that time they cleaned up the car for me and buffed out a few dings we noticed after the test drive free of charge. Before I left Mike told me he was gonna try to get me a better interest rate then the one presented when I was leaving(which was still a damn good interest rate).And when I came back sure enough he had done just that. Now for the only negative part of this buying experience this dealership is a part of a bunch of dealerships under the Island autogroup umbrella. As such you can see every dealerships vehicle inventory on the autogroups website. When I explained to my family about the car and went online to show them the car was listed $3,500 less then the price I was given in the dealership. It wasnt because of sales or savings it was just flat out listed at a cheaper price. When I returned to the dealership I pointed this out and on their own site(island subaru) it wasnt so but on the autogroups site(island autogroup) it was. They were not mad or rude they were nice about it and honored the price. But there seems to be a big Disconnect between Island autogroups web team and their dealers because I have called dealerships about cars listed on the site only to be told the car doesnt exist or has been sold ages ago or in this case is a different price. I honestly dont feel it was the dealership trying to pull a fast one because they all seemed surprised at the price difference. Thats the only thing stopping this from being a 5 star review. Overall Marvin and Mike made a process I dread into a fun and easy thing buying a car from them is no more of a hassle then going to the store for a weekly shopping trip. It was easy fast and stress free More
