Horrible Negotiated price for Subaru Forester, found dent and some miles after signing the contract. They took almost 10 days to fix the dent. No paper work at the time of delivery saying the mechanic who fix the dent on vacation and he will give you the paper work when he will be back. When I insist for the paper saying, I return the loaner in good condition, they asked me to wait for hours. I told them I am going to call the Manager and it was done in 15 minutes. They more into sale not service. They insist me to purchase additional tire and rim coverage to avoid huge expenses, for even a little scratch. The price on the invoice was three times higher than the paper of coverage they explain. When asked to cancel the additional warranty. they reduce the price to half (still more that the paper they showed). No service to put the new mat in the car, I did it myself. Very friendly only when they want to sell and additional coverage. Still waiting for refund of $100 deposit they hold for loaner. Never Island Subaru again. More

Not your typical dealership I hate shopping for a car. As far as I know, everyone does. Well at least I did. The staff at Island Subaru, especially Donna Nocerino, John Espinoza, I hate shopping for a car. As far as I know, everyone does. Well at least I did. The staff at Island Subaru, especially Donna Nocerino, John Espinoza, and Russ in finance really made this the easiest experience. I had entered Island Subaru with my mind made up about what vehicle I was interested in. Luckily for me Donna convinced me to do a few test drives, to ensure I loved the car I was getting. She was more concerned with me being happy with my purchase than making a sale. In my previous dealer experience (not at Island Subaru) this didn’t happen. I ended up falling in love with the Legacy, which was not what I thought I wanted! Thank goodness I listened to Donna and really took my time considering my options. When it came time to discuss financing John Espinoza was so friendly and transparent with the cost of the vehicle, and my financing options. And Russ the finance manager really made sure I understood all the paperwork and coverages with my new car. I honestly can’t say enough nice things about the staff at Island Subaru. They really make an effort to get to know you and find the right vehicle for you. After I signed the lease papers they even celebrated with me! I can promise you they have earned my business going forward. Go see Donna at Island Subaru, she’ll make you feel like family and make car buying a fun experience! More

So far so good I was coming out of an existing non Subaru lease, I went to several dealers (Audi, Toyota and Subaru) some offering more amenities than Island Subaru, I was coming out of an existing non Subaru lease, I went to several dealers (Audi, Toyota and Subaru) some offering more amenities than Island Subaru, ie; free maintenance, car washes, tire rotations, loaner cars, etc (I just found out Island Subaru offers some of those SAME amenities as long as you give advance notice). but in the end we went with Island because the manager gave us a quick, easy deal with ZERO pressure. I don’t like being forced into any car deal, I always say, give me your best deal and if I walk away and come back with a better deal and you can match or beat it then we have a deal., this is why we went with Island. When I came back and told them another dealer was willing to cut me a check for my last three payments and give me 15k miles per year and be at my certain monthly payment, Island matched it! The proof of their excellence will be when I get that check in 7-10 business days (which I got last night, 1-8-19) as I was told and I have no reason not to believe they won’t. This process was very easy and definitely not a hard sale, even when I went in to see the finance lady, Ms Candice, that was also very positive and quick and painless. So kudos to Island Subaru, so far so good. Next test will be their service department. The previous Subaru dealer had a HORRIBLE service department, I’m hoping I don’t need to go to other service departments for service and or warranty work. I’m also glad to report I had my first issue and service took care of me after a quick phone call. Service is like a well oiled machine, cars are in and out and the service department is dealing with three makes of vehicles, Subaru, Toyota and Mazda. I was very impressed and my issue turned out to be a loose gas cap that was never tightened in NN after gassing up 3 days earlier. Seriously, I am VERY VERY SATISFIED and I’m a hard guy to satisfy when it comes to car dealerships, good job guys, keep it up! More
