Hyundai Elantra I worked with Bruce and Dante. Bruce was especially friendly (both over the phone and in person). My air conditioner hose was clogged and repaired. I worked with Bruce and Dante. However, as I was leaving, I realized the air blower was not working (due to a short from the water that was in the car). Bruce insisted I leave it with him for repair (under warranty). More

Never trust the service department at this dealership I brought my 2016 Tuscan in twice saying I felt something was wrong and it rattles when I drive. I was told my oil was dirty, even though I took it twice for oil changes in the less then a year I owned it. I then brought it to a dealership in New Jersey and was told I need a new transmission. The Staten Island dealership places you and your family at risk, never trust them. The toll could save your life. More
I have been going here for years I have been using this service department for as long as I have owned a Hyundai, which is since 2001. I have been happy every time I've left. If anything other than what I requested was needed, I always got a phone call describing the problem and the cost of the repair. If I went in for a problem, again, I would get a call with what was wrong and what the cost would be. Recently, I have been working with Carol, and she is just awesome and always makes me feel like I am a person who matters, not just a number! Including calling me right away when I walked out without my favorite coffee cup! lol More

I own a 2003 Hyundai Sonata with 103,000 miles on it. I had a major problem that Jim informed me was under warranty that I never got a recall on. He researched the problem and since it was covered,saved me a great deal of money. I appreciate his diligence. I also appreciate Hyundai standing behind their warranties and would not hesitate to purchase another Hyundai vehicle. More
Deceptive, does unauthorized things to vehicles I bought my 2016 Hyundai at a dealership other then Island Hyundai but brought it to island for a service repair. When I gave my vehicle to Island my I bought my 2016 Hyundai at a dealership other then Island Hyundai but brought it to island for a service repair. When I gave my vehicle to Island my vehicle had perfectly fine undamaged like new license plate frames on it from the dealership where I purchased it from. When I picked up my vehicle the License plate frames were switched to Island auto group frames without my knowledge or consent. The work was not recorded on my receipt or work order and was never mentioned to me. I returned to the service Dept, addressed service manager Dante Lopez, and demanded my license plate frames back. He said he doesn't have them and said he will remove the frames they put on my vehicle. I told him no, I don't want them to touch my vehicle ever again and he responded fine we don't want your business anyway. I notified Hyundai corporate headquarters and filed a formal complaint, they told me the service Dept has no right to do what they did. I also contacted my attorney. Beware check your vehicle over very closely if you do business with this, in my opinion, crooked place. More

Terrible Service I went in for a recall and free undercarriage corrosion service. I arrived at 7:15 and drove my vehicle right in. I was told that service would begin I went in for a recall and free undercarriage corrosion service. I arrived at 7:15 and drove my vehicle right in. I was told that service would begin at approximately 8. I saw my vehicle on a lift at about 8:30 and assumed the undercarriage was getting done. At about 9:15 I saw my vehicle parked in a different part of the shop. I checked on it every 15 minutes or so and noticed that no one had touched it and the hood was never opened. I inquired about when it would be done at 10:45. I saw someone looking for my paperwork and shaking his head while questioning several mechanics. Finally, just before 11, he came back and told me that it was ready. I told him that no one had touched it for over 90 minutes and inquired why I was left to wait without being told it was done. He simply stated that it could not have been more than 45 minutes and walked away. I inquired if the recall had been taken care of and he said that it was but he could not provide any paperwork since the computers were down. I do not believe that the recall was taken care of because there was no time for it to be worked on. Nevertheless, I did not get an apology for having waited such a lengthy time even after my car was supposedly completed. More
