My service experience I called in the morning and said I needed an oil change and I was told from Joey Robinson to bring it right down. Totally amazed I could get in the same day and to be greeted and with respect from him. He had my car done in an hour and a car wash! I would 100% go back and deal with Joey again! More
Lied by the Service Rep Went to Island Acura to get my car fixed. The service rep Joe Thompson helped me and was unfriendly to begin with. I explained to him the problem and also told him that I have been applying a "temporary" fix, however, I brought the car here to get it fixed permanently. Sure enough they applied the same temporary fix that I did and he warned me not to use that feature otherwise I will do permanent damage to the car. That was his way of discouraging me from testing it. When I tested it in the lot and told him the car wasn't fixed, he was quick to offer me a refund and told me that I shouldn't have tested it because I will do permanent damage to the car. I explained to him that I don't intend to use that feature daily but I should at least be able to try it once to make sure it was fixed. He wasted 2 hours of my time and trying to con me out of $75 for the same fix I had told him I perform in 2 minutes. He never admitted to his lie and just told me that he hasn't charged me on my way out. He also lied to me on the phone because he had answered the phone when I scheduled the appointment and explained the problem to him. More
Excellent Service Department! Island Acura has a great service department. Joe Robinson was very helpful in solving my problem. He always listens and is very friendly. He gave me a loaner in case they needed my car for a several days, but I got it back sooner than expected and it was repaired under warranty. The customer service here is very good. I would recommend Island Acura for any repair work. Make sure to see Joe Robinson! More

But Island Acura is the opposite from most dealers I have come to. I first walked in and this nice gentlemen name Joey Robinson approached me and asked me how my day was even before discussing about service or not even knowing me! Never felt such a welcoming feeling from a dealership employee. He got me in and out in a timely fashion and explained everything nice clear to me (im not a car person, so it helps). I would recommend this dealership to people who are looking to get there Acura and Honda serviced by a place that is trustworthy and pocket friendly. More

Car of my dreams becomes a nightmare. I purchased a pre-owned 2011 mdx this year, and to my dismay...the thorough checklist of items they go through before you buy a vehicle was complete.. I purchased a pre-owned 2011 mdx this year, and to my dismay...the thorough checklist of items they go through before you buy a vehicle was complete....however, no one ever cleaned or thought to check the drains attached to the moon roof. Heavy rain for 2 hours made the entire roof leak water all over the headliner, drivers side seat, and all over my passengers heads. The moisture created mold and mildew. I complained to Acura that after purchasing this car and having it for ONLY a MONTH...that this was unacceptable. They told me to bring my car in to have the headliner replaced free of charge. 4 days later my car was done. The headliner doesn't even look like it was replaced. There are stains on it...how can this be possible if they said it will be "replaced"? They also said they couldn't wash my car because it was done too late, yet they promise a free car wash after every service.... the car was there for 4 days. I'd rather go to another dealership and deal with another service department. I feel like I'm lied to about everything. It's unfortunate to buy the car I've always wanted and to have so many issues early on. Save yourself time, money, and several headaches.... Don't go to this dealership or service department. More

HORRIBLE SERVICE BROUGHT IN MY 2013 ACURA FOR A HEADLIGHT PROBLEM DEALTH WITH ALEX WHO WAS OK BUT HIS OTHER CO- WORKER WAS HORRIBLE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. When I bought the vehicle Cosmo dealt with me honestly and with total respect. I tried using him 6 years ago but ended up with another Acura dealer. That was a mistake-I learn from my mistakes. Robert in finance did not pressure me into buying any extras since I leased the vehicle I don't think extras are needed and he respected my opinion. Then 2 weeks ago I stopped by Service to make an appointment to have my first 5k mile service done. I never dealt with the service department before. As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly by Alex. He told me if I wanted it done on the spot they could do it. It was about 1:30pm and I had nothing going on so I agreed. I left the car with them and walked across to have lunch at ACF Pizza. As I was finishing lunch, Alex walked in and said my car was ready. What a great feeling to be dealt with honestly and they treated me as I was the most important customer they ever had. Awesome experience. I love Acura and see a future with my new service guy Alex. More
