I got a referral from my HS friend who had a straight forward, easy to do deal with Jimmy Z for a black/black 2024 Acura ZDX AWD. I emailed Jimmy Z that I needed to bring my mom in to do a test drive and forward, easy to do deal with Jimmy Z for a black/black 2024 Acura ZDX AWD. I emailed Jimmy Z that I needed to bring my mom in to do a test drive and that she was ok with all EV vehicle. I didn't hear back from him and ended up calling the dealership last Mon. The assistant said that Jimmy called in sick. They transferred me to his manager, Deangelo. He said that he could take care us after I explain the referral and deal. When we arrived, I asked for Jimmy just to be sure- and the guy sitting at the front desk who was on his iphone said he was out. I asked for Deangelo and that we had an appt to test drive ZDX AWD. He goes into the back talks (presumably to Deangelo, but that person never came out to greet/speak to us). He comes back and says that he will be taking care of us. His name was Vinny. Nice enough young man. He got the keys for a red one since it was out front for the test drive. He said the black one just got dropped off the truck and was in the back getting prepped. We went to do the street and partial freeway on/off ramp road test. My mom actually like the vehicle so he showed us the actual black unit- it was in the back being charged. He said this was the last one and 2 other ppl were coming down later that were "very" interested. My mom actually said that the black one would be acceptable. Vinny said that the prices went up over the weekend and that they wouldn't be doing the previous deal. Inventory had shrunk so they didn't need to do those deals. When we asked what was the price- he went to get the offer sheet from Deangelo. It was was 44% higher than the deal we had. Outregous, switchoo. We drove 90 minutes from the South Bay thru the beginning of rush hour on the 405. So I was not happy. After seeing the other ratings, my experience does not surprise me now. Dishonest dealership. Poor management: manager who does not come out to speak directly to customer when appointment was with him. When I got home, I got online and reached out to a direct contact at DCH Tustin Acura. They did a straightforward deal. Took delivery last Thursday and paid with Apple Pay with my Apple Card. (I subsequently found out that my HS friend said that Irvine Acura charges 3% to use credit card!) PS ZDX is actually a GM product and you can certainly tell it's non-luxury underpinnings- the center console plastics and climate ctrl knobs are very cheap looking as are the lightweight keyfobs. (asked for heavy duty dealer Acura keychains, but they said they were out). The wireless phone charger is terrible as is the lane centering. Acura should have ditched the chrome and silver lower trim. Good thing this is a 24 month lease at a fantastic price- and drives well enough- otherwise for a $70.5k vehicle- no front camera, no HUD, no partial auto-drive, and no hands-free trunk. PPS Coming from true luxury brand, it was disappointing to learn that Acura does not have a factory service loaner program. Individual dealers may have some, but they are extremely limited and have to book out several weeks- and not for routine services such as oil changes. Audi, Lexus, MB all offers these truly luxury amenities. More

This review is specifically for Irvine Acura's - General Manager -Billy Adams. I would like to start off my review by adding that I've never left a negative review for any establishment in my life. I don't Manager -Billy Adams. I would like to start off my review by adding that I've never left a negative review for any establishment in my life. I don't believe in writing a negative review of a whole establishment because of what one person may do. I feel compelled to write this review ,though, as Billy is the highest person in charge outside of the owners and therefore his attitude and approach is then set upon the whole staff. I'm an Auto Broker who's worked with Billy in the distant past. After many year hiatus, I then discovered that Billy had become the General Manager to this store by looking at their "Meet our Team" on the website. I had a customer who was looking for a car they specifically had and reached out to Billy. He answered and said he'd be happy to help. We did the deal and all was well. That was back on October 16, 2024, so more than 5 months ago. For 4 months I've been trying to get paid my commission as a broker which Billy promised me and of which I have proof in writing. For 4 months he's been stringing me along and now won't even respond to my texts. I find it very disheartening that a man of such low integrity is in the highest position possible at this institution. I don't appreciate his deception and false promises. I don't recommend supporting an institution that he runs. More

Irvine GMC was one of the best dealers in the area. They always performed service for a reasonable cost, honest and did it right the first time. Even when they couldn't replicate the problem, they fixed it always performed service for a reasonable cost, honest and did it right the first time. I have a mountain vacation home so certain things don't work well only at high altitude and on steep grades and they understood that. I can think of no other dealer in the area that was this good. OK, here's the bad part, they lost their GMC franchise and I was forced to go elsewhere. Now I pay a lot more for service and the jury is still out as to if the dealer is good or not. Rumor has it many of the techs went to work for Ray Fladeboe across the street in Irvine when they got the GMC franchise for the area. More
