I was in for a Subaru recall notice for the car's computer. Richard the service manager told me it would take about an hour. I went to wait in the comfortable waiting area. My wife called me and t computer. Richard the service manager told me it would take about an hour. I went to wait in the comfortable waiting area. My wife called me and told me that her doctor's appointment was moved up and could I speed things up and come home to pick her up. I spoke with Richard and told him of my dilema. He said he would try to get me out as soon as possible. A few minutes later he told me he was able to get my car hooked up to a computer and I would be out shortly. He returned in a short while and told me my car was ready. I was able to get home and get my wife to her appointment on time. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. More
I have brought my (automatic) outback sport to Ira Subaru 3 times. the first time they fixed my alternater and said my brakes need to be replaced, and did so. The second time i brought it was a few weeks aft 3 times. the first time they fixed my alternater and said my brakes need to be replaced, and did so. The second time i brought it was a few weeks after the first, because it had trouble going into drive and also stalled and failed to accelerate after a stop, after the first visit. they told me there was nothing wrong. Now about a month later, it practically feels undriveable. It stalls, it wont shift into drive from park, or reverse, it does not accelerate after stopping at a light or sign, and it had also been making a loud grinding sound. So i brought it back. I was told that it was ice behind the heat shield and drive shaft, and the head gasket. Neither of these diagnoses have anything to do with the cars failure to shift. They also gave the car a courtesy inspection in which they noted that my brakes needed attention soon because they were 7mm, when they should be 10. I finally took it to somewhere the dealer i purchased the car from suggested, all he had to do why try to put the car into drive and he knew it was the transmission. now the car that i paid $6000 for less than a year ago is pretty much trash as it would cost $6000 to repair.
