As much research as anyone can do, there is a lot of uncertainty and unexpected hurdles associated with getting a car. Some dealerships are notorious for adding fees to the price of the vehicle and for tactics that are not beneficial to the customer. I came to Ingersoll Auto of Danbury with no appointment to test drive a vehicle that seemed like a good fit for me. I had just test driven a car I liked very much but unfortunately the dealer added over $5K in fees which wasn’t only a big red flag for me but it made the car too expensive. The front desk staff at Ingersoll very kindly accommodated us as soon as we arrived and found a salesperson to help us. We were fortunate to have Lisa Provenzano helping us. We test drove the car which was in excellent condition and was better than the pictures on their site. Lisa ran some numbers for me and to my surprise, there were no unexpected fees. It was all very simple and clear. Also, please note that their dealer fee is cheaper than other dealers. Lisa was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered all questions I had. I came back the next day to test drive the car again and to hopefully start the buying process. I got there at 11:30am, test drove the car, came back and filled out an application, talked to my insurance company, then went in to speak to Rich Barillari in the Finance Department (awesome guy) and at 2:30pm I drove the car off the lot. The process was unexpectedly easy, clear and painless. I am very happy both with the vehicle and with their level of service. If you need a car, do yourself a favor and go to Ingersoll Auto of Danbury. These people are honest and really want to help you buy a car that you’ll be happy with. If you want outstanding service and want to feel like your concerns matter please make an appointment with Lisa Provenzano. She is super cool, confident and genuine. Definitely someone you can trust! And then Rich Barillari in Finance is also excellent. He went the extra mile to make sure I felt comfortable with the deal and the process. I just can’t say enough good things about the two of them. Thank you Lisa, Rich and Ingersoll for the quality service you all provided. More

Ingersoll Auto has earned our loyalty and that is why, after I picked up our newest car, yesterday, I had to write a review here. Over the years I've asked different staff members why they always seem to be kind and willing to help and they consistently tell me that it comes from the culture set by the ownership. A good salesman can be unique in a room full of salespeople. A kind service team member can exist on the team. But when all the sales team and all the service people we've encountered are kind and supportive, then I know that comes from the leadership. That is what we have come to expect at Ingersoll Auto of Danbury and it is why we will continue to buy our cars there in the future. Rob Strong More
My husband and I went to Ingersoll upon recommendation of one of their regular clients because they had the particular vehicle we were looking for... we came there Saturday 6th of June and we had seen the ve one of their regular clients because they had the particular vehicle we were looking for... we came there Saturday 6th of June and we had seen the vehicle proceeded to test drive, worked with Phil who said "don't worry about that 20,000 price tag, most likely, because it has not been "taken in "yet the price will drop". Phil is not the person of complaint though... we went ahead and sold one of our husbands show cars, as well as obtained private financing ...we then called multiple times to inquire if the car had been inspected to be cleared for sale... with no response. My husband finally was able to get a hold of a Ryan Goldstein, I will cut to the chase... Said "The car was out of our price range & he has to be aggressive with pricing due to the Coronavirus with his needing to bring in money from sales" As an essential worker(Healthcare) as well as my husband, who basically have had to deal with itvand I suffered from it firsthand(I had it horribly) ...I found it offensive that another human being would even attempt to capitalize on this pandemic... I didn't choose his career & yes it's absolutely horrible that people were laid off, yes my husband and I are completely blessed to have our positions because of the field we are in. I was so livid , I called and I requested to leave a vm for the owner, after a three or four minute hold ...I was given the general manager who I stated again "I didn't ask to speak with a him ,the general manager, I would like to to leave a voicemail with the owner"... the general manager made an attempt to pacify me as well as play Devil's Advocate querying if "we took what Ryan had said out of context and if we possibly could have offended him with the offer we provided?"... I stated that "It would be a perfect opportunity ...if your calls are recorded to review it then so you can better address me then."..and secondly as a salesperson/ somebody who works with the public in general, should know better than to say something that is in a "gray area ".. with that being said, we know the background of the vehicle because of somebody who we know who is part of the team . We know what it was taken in for approximately so we weren't trying to lowball , we didn't even give an offer at that point of the above interactions , it wasn't until later in the conversation my husband made an offer of the amount" out the door". Here we are putting our money into the economy when really let's face it, are not spending money on things that they really don't need at this moment. Anybody can Bluff you and say oh yes people are buying left and right ,....they are not... people are hunkering down . Here we are willing and one of the few blessed to do this, and we were treated horribly and spoken down to. Ryan also then contradicted himself a good couple of times by stating he has multiple calls and bites on this car and then Midway in the conversation stated that he'd rather take his chances putting it up on the internet why would you waste your energy and time putting things up on the internet if you have so many leads? Again this is all about how much he could get out of somebody and it's disgusting. I'm not trying to be so arrogant to once again state that between the two of us and our income , we're blessed ... as well as the fact that we do own 5 vehicles which are show car-related and everyday drivers and weekend drivers. So for him to pass that judgment and comment that something is out of our price range is a little uncouth. The point being is: if somebody is going to capitalize on a pandemic .. and clearly and blatantly stated so, that's not the person that I want to do business with nor should anyone else because people like that ruin it for a company and leave a bad taste and I'm definitely going to make sure people who I know in that area do not go to them or the ones in New York state that they have. So,RyanGoldstein, you did a great job at showing your true colors as a human and as a poor salesman again this was your career choice so please don't project your stress and anger for your unfortunate layoff and lack of income on people who are trying to help. It's sad this is not the first time my husband and I have dealt with somebody who's using the pandemic as an excuse to jack up a price More

I own a 2017 Chev Express 4500 w a utility body on it. I didnot buy it there but they have been taking care of it for me. This van is on the road 5 - 7 days a week especially in the winter. A few weeks ago i noticed a noise coming from the rear end. They got me right in and checked it out. Not good news. The van has 66k miles on it and the rear differential needs over $3,000.00 of parts and labor. I couldn't believe it. I purchased this extra heavy truck so i would have issues like this. Mind you i had it weighed and im under the recommended GVWR 2000lbs. These differentials should last the life of the vehicle. I guess Chevrolet is having issues with making a quality long lasting HD product. I hope they made a better differential for the new HD trucks they have now. Now back to Ingersol. They made some calls, sent some emails and Chevrolet is covering 50% of the repairs. (Should be $0) Thank You Ingersol. Shame on Chevrolet for poor product performance. I purchase a new work truck every 3-4 years i dont think the next one will be a Chevy. Thanks Again for your efforts Ingersol. Bill Smith More

In fact he built even more trust when I originally was going to purchase a different vehicle but after inspection it still had some issues. His honesty about that was highly valued and I am even happier with my purchase. No games. The way it should be when purchasing a car. More

Decided to try Ingersoll Auto of Danbury after reading the reviews and seeing so many plate frames with the Ingersoll Auto of Danbury name. Best experience purchasing a vehicle I have ever had. From the first phone call to set up my appointment--to discussing my vehicle wants and needs with Ed--to discussing financing it was easy and stress free! It was actually a pleasure dealing with this dealership. Very pleased More
