Three weeks later after loosing thousands of dollars I had it fixed at another dealership that had no problem getting the parts and said the parts were not back ordered like Al in the service department told me. And by the way Al stop hanging up on people, everyone I talked to this guy I would get cut off because I assume he thought we were done. I was not he just needs to slow down and listen to the customers. More
Same as all the rest Went there with an open mind and told them exactly what I needed and could afford. They pretty much ignored what I said. I was looking for a used car. Went there with an open mind and told them exactly what I needed and could afford. They pretty much ignored what I said. I was looking for a used car. Took my information and came back with an brand new car. I test drove it but knew I could not afford it but they insisted I could. After looking at the finances they concluded what I already said. I could not afford it. I told them I could not put down a hefty down payment, they continued to ask for a hefty down payment. I told them I could not trade in my car, they asked for me to bring it in to be appraised. Everything I asked them NOT to do, they ignored and did what they wanted to do. I'm not sure if it was a lack of attention to detail in what I was stating or just their typical car dealer mumbo jumbo. Nothing special about this place. Same thing as any other car lot. I wouldn't say don't go there, but just expect the usual. More
2015 dodge caravan problem solved live in Virginia. One Sunday afternoon ,while going back home from a trip to Georgia, the heater hoses blew off. The factory forgot to remove some tem live in Virginia. One Sunday afternoon ,while going back home from a trip to Georgia, the heater hoses blew off. The factory forgot to remove some temporary clamps. Caravan had only 3280 miles on it. A rollback towed us to Ilderton Dodge. One of the owners stopped in (on a Sunday afternoon), Steve, and within 20 minutes, we were in a new loner vehicle (no charge) and on our way home. My wife is disabled and this was a true blessing. They fixed my vehicle the next morning and even washed it to remove all the anti freeze that had blown all over. Thanks guys for a job well done. More
Terrible service! I called to have an airbag recall replaced. The dealership said to drop the car off and I should have my car back that afternoon or the next morning. I called to have an airbag recall replaced. The dealership said to drop the car off and I should have my car back that afternoon or the next morning. A day and a half later I still haven't received a call. I finally got in touch with the service department, 3 calls later right before they closed, when I was told they never got to my vehicle because they had to order a part and they are closed Sunday. Now I may be over blowing it, but dropping my car off for 2 1/2 days just "for fun" doesn't work for me. I picked my unfixed car up, very disappointed in the lack if professionalism and care for human safety at Ilderton Dodge. I now have to drive longer with an unsafe airbag which is said to be potentially fatal. I will never be back. I'm now taking my car to Winston-Salem, which is unfortunate considering I live a mile from Ilderton Dodge. Worthless! More

Disappointed and will not return. 1) A technician called my wife after we dropped our Dodge Grand Caravan and stated he would not pass state safety inspection until WINDSHIELD WIPERS were replaced. Funny, my wife after we dropped our Dodge Grand Caravan and stated he would not pass state safety inspection until WINDSHIELD WIPERS were replaced. Funny, they had worked great the week before on the way back from Washington, DC which was nothing but rain. She said to go ahead, which she shouldn't have. SO, for $30 they replaced the front wipers...AND for another $35 replaced the rear wiper. WTF, is it necessary for a rear wiper to work to pass safety inspection? Brought it to the Service Directors attention and he offered nothing. 2) Had a coupon for a $20 oil change and free tire rotation. Asked while they had the wheels off if they could balance them as well. Charged $40 for rotate and balance. Brought to directors attention their price board states rotate $20 and rotate/balance $40. He did give the difference but only after arguing briefly. My advice: take your hard earned money to a company that will appreciate your business and that will not take advantage of you. More
Ilderton Dodge represents the worst of the worst in "customer service." About a week ago, my wife and I had the engine light come on in our 2001 Dodge Dakota. After bringing it to the local mechani "customer service." About a week ago, my wife and I had the engine light come on in our 2001 Dodge Dakota. After bringing it to the local mechanic we usually deal with, the mechanic told us that the computer was bad on the truck. He suggested that we take it to a dealership in that he would have to charge us $500 for the part after his markup. there would be additional ancillary charges and so we did as our mechanic suggested. He charged us $70.00 to perform the diagnostic. One hour later we were at the service department of Ilderton Dodge. I explained both the problem and the diagnosis. They insisted that they could not accept the diagnosis and would therefore have to charge us an additional $85.00 - again, one hour later. They did say that the amount, (85.00) would then be added into the total. Thinking (mistakenly as it happens), that that meant the amount would be deducted from the total, I agreed. No...what this means, as was explained to me at checkout, was that they would include the amount in the total bill. No kidding? Really? (sarcastically) I never would have guessed that it was traditional to add the amount being charged on the bill. Not surprisingly, they came back fifteen minutes later and indictated....ready for this? The computer was bad and would need to be replaced. The woman in the service department said that they would have to order the part, for 800.00! Having little choice, I agreed. She said that we would need to pay for "everything" before they could place the order. Again I agreed. She actually asked me on four separate occassions if it was alright to place the order. I had to agree each time. We paid a total of $1038. I was assured that the part would be in within 3 - 5 days. To be fair, the part did arrive on Tuesday. Of course I had no way of knowing this since they never called. Instead I called them today, Friday to ask. I asked when I might come in to have the part installed. The woman on the phone indicated that I could come in between 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. I showed up early and they took the truck in. An hour and a half later they came and said that it was ready to go. Oh, and it would be an additional $93.00 for labor! I explained that we had been unable to use the truck for the week because of their failure to let us know. Also, I was told that the initial amount covered, "everything." "Sorry" was all I got. These people represent the worst kind of "customer service." Not only will I never return but I am making it my personal mission to let anyone - ANYONE who I can find to know of their dismal customer service and bloated costs. More
