Ideal Auto ND falsely advertises that everyone can get and be approved on a car; however, that is just not the case. Whenever I called Ideal Auto, the salesperson, Amanda LaFountaine, was real nice until and be approved on a car; however, that is just not the case. Whenever I called Ideal Auto, the salesperson, Amanda LaFountaine, was real nice until her and the Finance Manager, Michael Mayer, discovered that we didn't have good credit. My wife and I chose a vehicle that we were interested in and Amanda was supposed to have put the deal together on a Friday. We didn't hear from her until Monday whenever I had to call her and she was a smart alec over the phone. Once Ideal Auto finds out that you have bad credit, which they advertise is okay to get a car loan, they do not want to work with you anymore and they are rude to you. Their site advertises that you may have to put $1,000 to $3,000 down or 20%; however, when you tell the finance manager that the most you have to put down is $1,000, he will tell you that they need some exorbitant amount down like $3,500 to $6,000 which obviously you do not have as you told him. Also, whenever you attempt to get a fair amount for your trade in vehicle as you researched its' worth according to Kelly Blue Book, like a bunch of crooks, they offer you way below what your trade is worth. Oh, but they want to charge an arm and a leg for their old vehicles with high mileage! Overall, I do not recommend Ideal Auto ND to anyone. They are a total waste of your time! Another thing that they did to us is whenever we would inquire about a particular vehicle that was advertised on their website, the finance manager says that the vehicle is not available even though it is listed on their website. One last thing, the vehicle we were looking at had an odometer issue apparently. Both Amanda and Michael said to us that they had to spend up to almost three hours calling car fax because supposedly someone entered the wrong odometer mileage for the vehicle. Then whenever I called Amanda on it and why she failed to call us and let us know how our deal was going, she attempted to put it on us that we were essentially impatient and that she was working for up to three hours attempting to correct an alleged odometer issue. Here's a thought, why don't you do all of that before you list the vehicle for sale! Then you won't have to argue and get smart with the customer and try and accuse the customer of being impatient on the deal that should not take more than one day! We kept asking what our payment would be, over what length of time, and at what interest rate and we could never get a straight answer. Instead, what the finance manager will ask you is what kind of a payment were you looking at? And both Amanda and Michael said that the vehicle we were looking at was not available for a test drive because supposedly it was getting a new windshield put on it. How long does that take? Less than a day; however, we were not able to test drive our vehicle because they said it wasn't ready. Again, do all of the necessary maintenance on it before you list it! And also the tires were BALD on the vehicle and Ideal Auto ND refused to put new tires on it and they refused to include new tires in the loan. Supposedly Credit Acceptance Corporation would not allow it. So my family would have had to ride around on BALD tires. What a lackluster place! Lackluster salesperson, lackluster inventory, and a lackluster finance manager! Run fast from this place! More
