I bought a pre-owned 03 G35, in 06. I am not happy with the quality of work, sales & finance tactics these guys play. When I first looked at the car, there were a few issues like the glove compartment cove the quality of work, sales & finance tactics these guys play. When I first looked at the car, there were a few issues like the glove compartment cover was coming off, the car was all dusty. Also, I later realized that the power steering fluid was below minimum & it was quite stiff. I was told that the car will be detailed & be ready for pickup. When I got there, it was just the same with some water thrown on the body. The glove compartment cover was still off. The sales guy said that the tires were new. They were NanKang made and now after 1 1/2 I know they are the worst for snow or even some wet road. I'm so scared of driving this car in the snow. Being RWD it is some what expected to handle badly in snow, but these tires make the car skid like anything. I had to flush the power steering oil, after I insisted to check it twice at Fields Infiniti of Glencoe (Here the service guys sell unnecessary services on the phone) Also, it looked like there was no effort in tuning the car. I had it serviced for the transmission & then it ran OK. I also, realized that this car had not been serviced that often. 10K & 25K intervals. Sucks!! If I knew better!! The dealer sold the warranty for $3000. Then in the negotiations he lowered it to $1699. He should have invoiced that car for 19000 - 1300, instead he put $19500 for the car & 1699 for the warranty. So instead of lowering the cost I overpaid. Also, when I offered for down payment he kept on suggesting otherwise. Overall I feel cheated!.. This was my first real car & a real Car Salesman experience, so lesson learned. I was smitten by the black+premium car & I paid for it, but atleast he should taken care of the car. More
