They refused to cover the cost of a known to be defective part. Nissan recalled the EGR cooler from all of its dealers and issued a redesigned part to replace it and when the old version went bad in my titan they refused to cover the cost of anything including the replacement part!! Nissan does not care about the consumer!!!! More
I absolutely loathe bringing my vehicle here for service 7/11/20- I am amending my review, the story just keeps getting better. It seemed prudent to swap out the battery given the suspicion of an electrical problem and it was several years old anyway. Upon replacement, I discovered a HUGE pile of corrosion on the positive battery terminal. The terminal cover was somewhat loose, certainly not snug enough to discourage inspection. I drove it to the dealership to point it out to Karen, who seems genuinely concerned about customer satisfaction. She offered to bring the vehicle in to the shop to fix the battery issue. I declined because I really have no faith whatsoever in the shop with a car that my wife drives. I was only aggravated before, now I am downright angry. The shop sent my wife away in an unsafe vehicle for a condition that was easily seen. That is just inconscionable. People bring their vehicle to a dealer versus Barney Fife muffler shop expecting that they would be an expert on Nissan and while it might cost more it would be right. My guess is that Barney would have checked the battery first. If a vehicle comes in for an electrical issue, wouldn't the battery be the very first place to start? If not wouldn't it at least be checked? So either it was overlooked or seen and not corrected, I can't figure out which is worse. So before I was semi alright with the $300 brake switch giving the benefit of the doubt that it could have been part of the problem. But now I am not. How the xxxx can an electrical issue of any kind be diagnosed correctly when the battery connection is comprised? I don't see that it can be. BTW, no more issues after I installed the new battery. Prior post: I absolutely loathe bringing my vehicle here for service and only did so because it was malfunctioning for my wife and I was out of town. The service guy Pete was full of xxxxxxxx like usual. Everytime I deal with him I feel dirty and need a bath afterwards. He's always try to sell excess and is such a xxxxxxxxxxx. She was told that she needed a brake switch which was keeping the car from starting and one key fab replaced/reprogrammed. We opted only for the brake switch and not the key fob believing that part was just xxxxxxxx. She went on her way to have the car act up again. She called back and was told the fob was bad. It was the 2nd fob, the one that was supposingly okay. So either we have one brake switch and two key fobs all coincidentally going bad at the same time, imcompetence or have been xxxxxxxxxxx one more time. Whatever the issue is I have little faith you can find it without further part swapping at my expense. Lesson learned I guess. So the time before we were approached on the false basis that you wanted us to sell ours for your used car inventory only to find out it was just a ploy to sell me a new car. Like I explained to the salesman, I wouldn't buy a car from you if you were the last dealer on earth. The xxxxxxxx, the deciept...frankly I'm surprised you stay in business. More
