I bought a car, less than 2 weeks ago from I-10 Premier Auto Sales. I ended up with something I do not want. Sam (owner) and Steven (salesperson) are great and will work to end your car search before y Auto Sales. I ended up with something I do not want. Sam (owner) and Steven (salesperson) are great and will work to end your car search before you leave the lot. From this experience, I want to share this information, no matter where you go....even if you can't afford or get exactly what you want, definitely do not walk away with what you don't want or like as I did. Even though a car can be replaced, not people, it is still a painful, miserable and awful experience, that I will not be able to rectify anytime soon. Paid cash and so, have to save again. 1. Ask about their refund policy. I-10 Premier Auto Sales do not have one. I bought the car on Sunday, did not even take it off the lot. Contacted them the next morning and told them, I changed my mind. Sam said come in and let's see what they could do. No exchange was discussed, just things that was out of my budget. They offered a warranty at discounted price, for peace of mind. It was over $2,500. I cried the whole time there. 2. Do not go alone. If I had taken a friend, I would had someone to remind me, they are sales people, not your friends. This is their job. They do not actually care if you are happy or not, it is just a sales, paycheck to them. I said I wanted a manual, not into red cars.... 3. Ask for the Carfax or some kind of background history on the car. All cars look good. Found out later this one was in 2 minor accidents. 5. Make sure everything works and you do not have buy things immediately, windshield wipers, battery for key fob, knob for radio. 4. If you are giving them reasons why you do not want it, do not allow yourself to be convinced why it is a good car for you. You know yourself or at least should know yourself better than a stranger. After you sign the paperwork everything you didn't want, is yours, it is a contract, a job. 5. Do not expect anyone to respect your decision if you do not have one. Again, this is sales....I told the salesperson for one car, let me sleep on it and I would probably be back the next day to get it...I should have left immediately, but then came the owner to crunch some numbers....sounded good at the moment. 6. Try to go early in the day...Never let the rush sale of the end of the day get you Now I know if it is not what I want, it is ok to say no or let me think about it. Tomorrow is only the next day, it can wait. This is my experience and my regret. For the amount of money I paid, I could have gotten a newer model, less mileage, manual and not red....as I said, my fault for doing all the wrong things mentioned above, but, if one person can learn from my mistakes, it won't change my situation, but...I hope it helps someone else. But if you KNOW what you want. You can get a good car and a wonderful experience over there. Steven is really a great guy. More
The initial contact seemed nice enough - however follow up from her sales manager was severely lacking. She said a few times he would. All but he never did. I had to reach out as follow up as there was non up from her sales manager was severely lacking. She said a few times he would. All but he never did. I had to reach out as follow up as there was none. They have a good selection of vehicles. Not sure about the rest of the process - as I said - the follow up is not very good. I had interest and they lost a potential sale I think. More
