Frustrating I normally take my 2016 Jeep to Chrystal in Cathedral City for service. They don’t take appointments on Saturdays and do not offer the ability to sche I normally take my 2016 Jeep to Chrystal in Cathedral City for service. They don’t take appointments on Saturdays and do not offer the ability to schedule appointments on-line. I was excited to see that I-10 Jeep had the ability to schedule an appointment on-line, so I scheduled a 9:15 am appointment for today to get my Jeeps oil changed, tire pressure light checked and the Bluetooth checked because I could hardly hear callers anymore. When I took my Jeep in, the service Department was very busy. I checked in with Alan Megard. Alan was courtious and explained that the tire pressure light was probably just that the tires needed air and the bloothtooth might just need to be “upgraded” to match the new technology in cell phones. I was told the car wouldn’t be done until 5:00 pm, but I could get a ride home and would be called when it was done. At approximately 3:00 pm I received a call from Alan asking if they could keep the car overnight because they had not fixed the Bluetooth issue. I told him that I could not leave the car overnight as we needed it in the morning. He said he would have the machanic continue to work on it. At 5:00 pm, I came to pick up the car. The oil was changed and the tire pressure issue fixed (these two issues probably took about 30 minutes to complete), but I’d have to return on another day to get the Bluetooth issue fixed because they didnt have time to fix it. It’s my belief that they did not even look at my car until 3:00 pm and realized the issue was more complicated than what they thought. It’s also my belief by the number of cars being dropped off in the morning, that the dealership overbooks service appointments and also takes walk-ins without appointments. After a wasted day, I am going to have to bring my Jeep in again. I’ll bring it in, but never to I-10 Jeep. I’ll take it back to Chrystal in Cathedral City instead. On a side note, I was interested in the new 2019 Black Jeep Rubicon they had on their lot, and spoke to Moreis De Leon about it. I was expecting to return after picking up my Jeep to possibly trade my car in for that car. Because of my experience in the service department, I won’t be looking at the new Rubicon on their lot. In closing, I want to reiterate that this is not Alan’s fault. He was very courteous and nice. This issue is a management issue. There is no excuse for the amount of vehicles they take in daily and the amount of time it takes to service a vehicle once it’s dropped off — except for possibly greed? More
