I started out at Auto Zone where I purchased and had installed a simple light bulb in a headlight. During the install, the cap that covers the bulb was accidentally dropped and disappeared into the engine compartment. It was inaccessible. Auto Zone sent me to Perryville Hyundai to buy a new cap. Auto Zone did not have one and they were happy to reimburse my expense. When I arrived at Hyundai, David directed me to pull my car into the service dept where I met Roberta. I explained my situation and her first words were, "You get what you pay for!!" I was offended. This comment dissed both the auto zone employee and me for choosing them. I would have left at that moment, but I needed the cap. She proceeded to tell me I would have to buy the whole headlamp assembly to get the cap! I objected of course and then, and only then, she offered to check to be sure she was correct. She was not. The part was indeed available individually. I have used this dealership before, I am no stranger here. The last time I was in, I asked for the cost of replacing a headlight bulb. It was over $50!! Auto Zone sold me the part & installed it for about $18. I do what I need to, to survive on Social Security. Anyone could have dropped the cap during installation...even your service people. My rating is strictly for Roberta, both David and Sebastian were helpful & cheerful as was the cashier. Take a break, Roberta. Never mock or put down a competitor. It doesn't look good on you or the dealership as a whole. And, personally, I don't like being insulted either. I do the best I can to stretch my dollars. I will see you on Wednesday to pick up the part. I will then take it to Auto Zone. They will place the cap over the bulb and reimburse me for the part and my inconvenience...cheerfully. More

Certain Management however, has been talking about my car buying business with outsiders, and it has gotten back around to me. My nightmare with my car and the issues I’m Having with it, had been bad mouthed by management and laughed at, publicly on social media. I bought my 2019 sonata and drove off the lot with issues. Service management/“mechanics” said it was “NORMAL” for my car to shake like it is. After leaving and calling to yell at this guy for being a tool, he admitted he never felt the shake. Second appointment still couldn’t feel it, but suddenly did after some xxxx was raised. It’s being blamed on bad gas, so I had to switch my car which recommends regular fuel, to now premium, and it STILL is having the same issue. I had to fight to get a loaner car through hyundai as well. Service truly does not want to take responsibility for this car that they sold me with issues. I have talked with several mechanics all in which say these “mechanics” are feeding me xx. I have test drove other 2019 sonatas and they don’t do this so it is not NORMAL. No brand new car should shake like mine does. And for a “mechanic” to tell me I need to break my car in and that’s the problem??? I am dealing with consumers affairs currently, And honestly preparing myself for a lawsuit. Also calling corporate about management and how they are handling my personal business, and issues with this car. I 100% recommend Pat, but do not let your car ever get serviced at Hyundai on Perryville!!!! More
Terrible service, took my car in Twice to get fixed and they didn’t fix the problem after I told them TWICE what it was. Beware of the Bait and Switch practiced at Perryville! Like to pay double for your repairs? Then Hyundai on Perryville is the right place. I moved to Rockford two years ago from Elgin. I receive coupons regularly from the Elgin dealership at significantly lower prices but Perryville won't honor them. For major repairs (timing belt, carbon canister) the price difference has been $200 to $400 dollars less at Elgin!! Well worth the drive. In addition, Perryville Hyundai uses the "bait and switch" scheme on their customers. On Monday they took down my warranty info and called to confirm my warranty coverage. I was told my out-of-pocket for the $800 repair is $100 (same job quoted in Elgin without warranty is $400). The part was ordered, service scheduled on Thursday same week. Thursday morning I'm told there is a price switch and my repair (with warranty) is now $400 - FOUR TIMES MY QUOTED PRICE!! If I don't get the work done with them I'm charged a re-stock fee + labor of a few hundred dollars. GOT CHA! You have to pay to take your car elsewhere or pay four times the quoted price if they do the work. Don't waste your breathe on the Service Manager, there is no responsibility taken for misquoting your job. After all they have your car held hostage! You have to pay the price increase or pay to get it back with no service completed. Win/win for the dealership and lose/lose for you! If you still want service a Perryville Hyundai, get your quotes in writing and throw a few hundred dollars in the trash - same thing. More

I will be coming here for all of my service needs in the future and would buy my next car here. What a great experience!!! Highly recommended.
