My sales man was Shawn Hays who was more than courteous! Went out of his way to make sure i was in a reliable vehicle and one i could afford as he knew i was coming in with cash. Eddie your finance man however was very cold, and almost rude. Needles to say my experience with Hyundai would have been horrible if not for Shawn. Maybe Eddie was having a bad day or maybe this is how he treats your customers? Id suggest putting him in the back away from ruining the experience of purchasing a car which is stressful enough. Hats off Shawn you were awesome and you have generated my mother as a customer too, she will be coming to Hyundai all the was from South Beach due to you! Not a chance. Was interested in purchasing cars for my girlfriend and myself. Test drove and RX-8 that likely had deteriorated engine mounts judging by the ridiculo Was interested in purchasing cars for my girlfriend and myself. Test drove and RX-8 that likely had deteriorated engine mounts judging by the ridiculous amount of vibration at idle and the engine bay reeked of gasoline and rich exhaust, even after a warm-up period. Walked away from that one. My girlfriend was interested in a Jeep Compass. When it came down to negotiations, the fun started. The salesman I was handed off to spoke of "saving" us money on the car by quoting the already lower online-listed price of 900 less than sticker. I began negotiations at 25% less than the online-listed price. When he came back, he rejected the offer and did not give a counter offer. He tried to justify the price by saying it had a clean carfax. While the carfax did show that the tires were rotated and the oil was changed regularly, there was no indication that any of the transmission fluids, radiator coolant, differential fluids, timing chain, water pump, or any drive belts were changed and would need to be done. When I called him out on this, he informed me that "timing chains don't break," which is an obvious lie (or maybe he honestly didn't know any better) and a potentially dangerous one if someone were to believe it. We continued for a minute when he said he would send me the service department inspection from when you picked up the vehicle. That was Sunday and today is Wednesday. Still waiting. Either some of the salesmen need some additional sales training or the dealership is just not that interested in moving their inventory. Before I posted this, I sent a message to the dealership in order to reconcile and attempt to purchase the vehicle and was responded to allegedly by the owner of the dealership, who was also unwilling to negotiate. He tried to "compensate" me with a $100 visa card. I rejected their offer and instead decided to post my honest experience. Below is the message they sent me. Didn't even counter-offer. For reference, I offered 6000 on the jeep (roughly 8000) that would have required at least an additional thousand dollars to bring maintenance up to date. I will surely never do business with this dealership. "My apologies for your experience here and I appreciate you brining it to my attention. I will make sure Shawn's management team is aware of this so that they may take the appropriate corrective action. I apologize we cannot meet your budget requirement on that 2007 Jeep Compass. While it does not rectify the negative experience you had at our dealership, I would like to issue you a $100 online Visa gift card to compensate you for the inconvenience.
