He also told us that he knew we would want more help and he would gladly come again or we were welcome to join him anytime at the dealership. Buyers could not ask for a more knowledgeable, professional, and courteous salesman than Jose. He's an asset to the new Genesis market and your dealership. Our G90 is fantastic we have owned Mercedes, BMW and Lexus. This car far exceeds those other models. It has great performance and a wonderful quiet ride. Too many features to describe that we love. My Experience with Shawn at Hyundai of St. Augustine: 15 our of a Possible 10! While I can’t say for certain, I think my family has purchased a total of 5 cars now from Shawn Hays at the Hyundai of St. Augustine dealership on Rou While I can’t say for certain, I think my family has purchased a total of 5 cars now from Shawn Hays at the Hyundai of St. Augustine dealership on Route 1. As he’s always done, Shawn helped me to weigh the pros and cons of which car best suited me personally based upon my driving needs, the amount of cashflow I had available, the amount of negative equity wrapped up in my old car, etc. After a detailed personal analysis of my circumstances, together we determined that a Hyundai Sonata would be the best choice for me at this time. I came into the dealership thinking I might want to leave with a Genesis, and while a Genesis would have been affordable, it would have been a bit of a stretch for me at this point in time. Rather than do what a what many “stereotypical” sales agents might do, and try to sell me the more expensive car, Shawn helped me understand why the Hyundai Sonata was the best value for me personally, at this pint in time. Rather than leave the dealership second guessing myself, wondering if I made the right purchase, I have been driving on cloud nine, and financially care free since the moment I left the dealership. Shawn has called and texted to make sure the car was to my liking, and of course those little gestures are appreciated, but there is one last thing I’d like to mention about Shawn that is of infinitely more value to both me as a purchaser, and to anyone I might refer there, which ultimately serves the dealership as well. By not pressuring me for the car that would have cost more, and helping me understand why the Sonata was the best choice for me at this time, a level of trust continues to built with Shawn. In the future, I know anyone I refer to Shawn at Hyundai of St. Augustine isn’t going to get strong-armed, or made to feel uncomfortable. That means I will not hesitate to refer friends and/or co-workers there moving forward. I’ve already referred one person since purchasing my car, but no matter how good Shawn is, even he wasn’t able to overcome my friend’s company giving him a brand new Volvo to drive at no cost, which was primarily because my friend is responsible for servicing hundreds of millions of dollars in Volvo auto loans. The mere fact that my referral even went down to talk to Shawn at Hyundai of St. Augustine when he knew he had a new car that was fully paid for at his disposal, should give the dealership some idea as to how highly my family speaks of Shawn. Furthermore, I know exactly who both my father and I are going to see when the time comes, and we are ready for our next upgrade. Of course that person is Shawn. Also, I want to take a brief moment to complement Eddie in the finance office for a job well done. While I have not conducted any “official” survey, my guess is you can count on one finger (no finger in particular…), how many people ever have a pleasant experience filling out their paperwork when purchasing a new car. Generally speaking, the event is not one that makes many people’s “bucket list.” With that said, Eddie is clearly the exception to the rule. I’ll close by saying that we (Eddie, my 70 year-old mother, and I) had a very nice conversation about a topic dear to all three of us, and the experience was not only seamless, but the time also flew by.
