$2100 add on package to the new cars. What a joke. I was looking at new cars and they all have $2100 dealer add on packages for worthless junk. $299 for nitrogen in the tires? Total scam. Charge 4299 for a full size spare if you want to charge for something useful. Also, $999 for exterior environmental protection? Nothing more than a wax job and over priced insurance policy. Same with the interior treatment for another outrageous charge. All told $2100 added to the sticker price. Would be OK if the stuff wasn't an overpriced scam. Same dealer trick they been using for decades. If you fall for it you are STUPID. You've been warned. More

It’s all about making the most he can on every opportunity. Btw, I walked the floor and listened in on many ongoing deals with salespeople. They are all giving the same tactic to strong arm the buyers. This is a reflection of their manager who basically told me to kiss his @—. They are getting thousands over msrp because they have a popular vehicle. Some may expect this but at some point this is overcharging. After back and forth you will find yourself paying much more than worth or leaving as you came because they will not budge. And their attitude, tone, etc is aggressive. It’s like they are God’s and you are beneath them. These guys will take you for every penny they can get you for. Better be careful. And for those who think they got a good deal....sorry to hear they pulled the wool over you. Search internet and I promise you can get the exact cars even the Palisade for thousands less. My salesperson was ok. Limited help as his manager in cage whom I can’t remember name but was working on Saturday Feb 15, 2020 was a complete jerk. I felt insulted leaving the lot. It was obvious he didn’t care about me. Btw, while on site I had my other Hyundai serviced and they did a great job as usual. The service people are good. The sales management is not. I am a salesperson. I know the roles very very well. When I told the sale manager I do 8.3 million in sales a year he snorted and said yea well we do $200 million and I will sell that car today when you leave for the price I want. And also told me he didn’t want to sell the car to me for the price he offered to me. Which btw was over well over the msrp. More

My car broke down while I was on vacation in charleston for the weekend, had to have it towed to this dealer, they tell me its a manufacture defect that was recalled and I need an entirely new engine which was going to take 3-4 weeks. Asked for a rental so that I could get back home to FL and they tell me that their rentals cannot leave the state and that even if I wanted a rental, they don't have any to give me anyways. The refused to get me a rental from a car rental shop like enterprise cause "they don't do that" and told me that it was "out of their hands". I asked if they would reimburse me if I got my own rental and they said that I had to call some 800 number (which also was not helpful) and I basically got the response that someone would call me within 3-5 business days and that I may or may not be reimbursed.... There was no effort to even slightly accommodate me and they did not seem to care that I was stranded in a different state without a car to get home. I was so fed up that I had my car towed to a different Hyundai over an hour away that was so much nicer and was able to get me a rental so that I wasn't stranded in SC. I will never step foot in this place again. Also Barbara, the service advisor for my case really needs to learn how to be a little nicer, her rudeness added to this whole mess and no one ever even apologized for any of it. More
Totally ignored during service visit I took my 1 year old Hyundai in for an oil change. I was left standing in the check in area for 16 minutes. About 5 minutes in a woman said "we'll be with you soon." About 10 minutes in I went into the next room and brought myself a chair to the check in area. At one point a gentleman who was at one of the check in desks looked at me and said "I'm just the IT guy". I'm 74 years old but nobody seemed to care that I was just standing there being ignored. Everyone who has service there is supposed to get a survey by email. The next day a young lady called and asked how my visit went. I of course told her what had happened. She said she would pass on my comments and send me the survey. I waited a week with no survey and called her back. I again asked for the survey and to speak to someone in charge. She said she would send the survey and put me through to the service manager. The Service Manager didn't answer so I left a voice mail. Of course, a week has again gone by with no survey and no call back. It is obvious that they first screen the customers to determine who actually gets the survey. That way the owners think everyone is happy because only the happy customers answer. This place is terrible for customer service. Stay away. More

refunds warranty I have been waiting almost 6 months for an extended warranty to be credited to my loan. I cancelled in 3 days. They lost it. 2 months later I tried again. 2 months after that the "Easycare Co" issued a check to dealership. Now it is 6 weeks later and still not credited to loan. Because of the delay, EasyCare issued a check for 97% of what I paid. I also paid interest on the loan for this warranty. They cannot handle this paperwork, How bad is service and sales paperwork? More

Approx. 2 weks afterward, I took the car to a locksmith because I was only given 1 key at the time of purchase and I like having a spare key. The key fits the ignition but it will not fit the car door (which means if anything ever happens to the remote, I will not be able to get into my car). This info was not disclosed at the time of purchase. I called the guy who sold me those extra plans and explained to him what happened. He told me he would take care of it but it will take him about 2 weeks to get the parts. I purchase approx. 3 of those extended plans costing an additional $5000, which I was told would cover almost everything that would go wrong with the car. Fast forward almost a year later and nothing has been done. I cant even get in touch with this guy. So I decided to call EASY CARE to see if I can get it replaced through one of the plans I purchased for $5000 and I was told that they couldnt help me because I only received 1 key not 2 keys. What kind of #@I! is that? If you buy a car from this place be sure you check EVERYTHING and NEVER buy those extended plans. It will cost me $245 for the locksmith to change the doorlocks and sync everything to 2 keys that works the way it should. UPDATE - 1 month later I was contacted by Brent, after I posted this review on Google Maps. He said , "Let me speak with a couple of my toyota friends and see what can be done or what they would recommend." (Exact words) Well, they must have recommended to do nothing because NOTHING has been done yet. Its doorlock and key replacement, not engine replacement. Is there anything simpler that could go wrong and take over a year to NOT get fixed? LEGAL SCAM ARTISTS!!! BUYER BEWARE More

While the initial car-buying experience was fine, Hyundai of North Charleston has failed to follow through on their we-owe agreement after two months. When I purchased my car, an interior door handle was broken. No problem, they agreed to fix it and signed a we-owe agreement. I was told that they would reach out to me when the part came in. After two weeks, I gave them a call because I had not heard anything, and they told me that in order to replace the part, they would need to do a bit more work and would get back to me. I attempted calling back several times over the course of the next few weeks, and got told by the receptionists (who were all very polite and tried to help) that my calls would be returned as soon as possible. I never heard back. Finally, last week I tried calling yet again, and was told that the part needed to fix my car had arrived! I was excited that after two months, my car would finally have the interior door handle I had been waiting for. I took the afternoon off of work, came in only to discover that the part that had came in was for the wrong trim, and would not fit on my car. The associate I had been working with, Fred, promised me that he would reach out to me next week to let me know that the correct part had been ordered. Well, it's another week later, and yet again I have not not heard a thing. I can't remember the name of the sales manager I worked with when I initially bought the car, but he hasn't reached out to me either. Frankly, this is getting tiresome. I just want the door handle in my car fixed, as was promised and agreed upon at the time of purchase. I have been patient, and after two months my patience has run dry. More
