I have recently purchased a Hyundai Tucson from Hyundai of Kirkland. While the process itself was long due to the current shortages in the market, the salesperson Dajaun Gamble that assisted me throughout of Kirkland. He was not only extremely helpful and courteous but was also very patient in showing me various models and describing all of their internal features and functions. WOMEN BEWARE This dealership is full of predators. They will seem helpful at first, but their intention is to use you. Your contract means nothing to them, and their story will change. Once they have your money they don’t know you, they won’t answer the phone, and never got your voicemail. They will try passing you around from person to person dodging accountability and a straight answer. These people will tell you to take more steps to get what’s yours, but they all lead to a dead end. Men, if you love the women in your life you won’t support this dealership. Take kindly to my experience I hope, but if you don’t it’s ok KARMA has a payment plan. They will all reap what they’ve sewn I have no doubt. Ridiculous experience. TLDR - Rude staff and exorbitant markups (10K USD) and I was made fun of and laughed at in front of the whole dealership when I said "Keep me in mind TLDR - Rude staff and exorbitant markups (10K USD) and I was made fun of and laughed at in front of the whole dealership when I said "Keep me in mind if you decide to sell at msrp". Long story - I was called into the dealership today with a text message from their salesperson that said “ ioniq limited available right now!!!” The message came in at 12:10. I cancelled all my meetings for the afternoon and took the 2nd half off and drove in from everett to reach dealership at 12:50. I was made to wait for 20 minutes as the salesperson was busy and then i was told the car is not available and it was pre sold. My rep thought the buyer had backed out but the buyer had not. Sales rep was very empathetic and I didn’t make a big deal out of it although he could’ve done better research before calling me in. He knew I was driving from far and he confirmed on the call that I should come in but despite his mistake, I did not show I was unhappy with him. Mistakes happen. What drove me crazy were the 2 things that happened after. 1) I was not even allowed to see the car from inside. I never even asked for a test drive but he did not even get to unlock the car for me. I think, as a dealership, if your salesperson makes a mistake, you should at least acknowledge the mistake and help the client. 2) His manager was extremely rude to me when I said that I would not pay 10K mark up for the car. I was very polite, I never told him he should sell the car to me for anything less than he wants to. I only told him to keep me in mind when he removes his mark up to which he laughed at me loudly in front of the whole dealership and made me feel like an idiot. I would never expect a manager to exhibit such absurd behaviour, and I was appalled that he would stoop so low as to embarrass and insult me when I was not even lowballing him. I was offering MSRP. I honestly think dealer markups are not fair. I think MSRP should have been higher if invoice = MSRP but as a buyer, expecting a car to be sold at MSRP should NOT be laughed upon. I’m in shock with what happened today. More
