In May of 2008, I regrettably purchased a 2008 Ford Edge from Ford of Kirkland. The choice of vehicle is not the regretted issue, the dealership is. We were talked into buying what is called the Northwest P from Ford of Kirkland. The choice of vehicle is not the regretted issue, the dealership is. We were talked into buying what is called the Northwest Protection Package for $795. (Certainly, we should have known better). This package was stated to include a protective coating for the exterior paint, interior leather and fabric protection. We had this package applied to the car a couple weeks after the purchase. My husband was appalled with the terrible job they had done. The car had not been buffed out and appeared as though someone had walked out in the middle of the job. In addition, there were a row of scratches that were on the car that were NOT on the car when it was brought in. When these two issues were brought to their attention, the head person with the contracted in Detailing company agreed that it was a poor job. It was promised that the scratches would be taken care of when I brought the car back in. The total work done in this package was completed in a matter of a couple of hours and was worth a small fraction of what we paid. I received a comment card from Ford regarding the Northwest Package which I gave the lowest possible rating. (I never heard back from anyone on this.) Later I find out from the sales manager that I was not suppose to have been sold the Northwest Package with its’ questionable undercoating and that the person who sold me that car had been let go. There still lied the issue of the scratches that happened to the care while receiving this NW package treatment. I was told by sales manager, Greg Hartshorne, that Ford of Kirkland was going to make things right by having my car re-detailed and every attempt would be made to buff out the scratches. I was told that they would have the car for the day and set me up with a free rental. When I brought the car in for this promise, the fix was demoted to a car wash when relayed to the detail worker and I wouldn’t need a rental car. I insisted that the promise of the detail be followed through along with the rental so I could return to work. Oddly enough, they sent me home with a car that had been sold and when I returned to work, I was called to bring the rental car back as the buyer was at the dealership to pick up their car! The caveat of this whole debacle was the financing. On the recommendation of Ford of Kirkland, I set up the purchase of the car with their finance program AmeriCredit. I was guaranteed no hidden fees, early pay off or otherwise, if I were to pay the loan off prior to the first payment due date. The full amount of the loan was paid the day I received the payoff address; two weeks prior to the first payment date. Within a month, I received another bill for $400 from AmeriCredit as set up fee for the loan. I contacted Ford of Kirkland to dispute this as I was promised no fees of any kind would incur with early payoff. (If you have any experience with AmeriCredit, you are aware of there daily harassment hence I had no other option but to pay the $408.) Mr. Wallie Ballie played me for a fool as he mislead me for several months that the dealership would take care of this matter and reimburse me for this bogus fee. After nearly twenty fake promises that this matter was being taken care of, Mr. Ballie left a phone message stating that Ford of Kirkland had changed their minds and would not be honoring their promise. If anyone is even thinking about buying a car at Ford of Kirkland, DO NOT! More
I was in the Seattle area on business and my brother, Gary, invited me to his house for dinner. While there, he and his wife, Trish, told me about the problems they were having buying a new Ford F-150 f Gary, invited me to his house for dinner. While there, he and his wife, Trish, told me about the problems they were having buying a new Ford F-150 from their local dealer in Kent. I recommended that they go to DealerRater.com to see which ford dealers were rated best in the Seattle area. After finding Ford of Kirkland, we visited the dealer's web site and browsed through the store's inventory of trucks. We found a red 2008 F-150 Crew Cab with a shortbed and the 4 wheel drive Gary and Trish needed. We filled out a form and asked for price and 72 month payments using the 0% APR we found on the site. Even though it was 7:00 PM at night, within 15 minutes a salesperson from Ford of Kirkland called us back. Her name is Donna Timmons and she was so helpful, and not pushy that we asked her if she was sure she was a car salesman! Donna said no, but that she would take care of us anyways... Today, Thursday morning the next day, we are actually here at the dealership and Gary is signing the papers for his new 2008 Ford F-150, which he got an incredible deal on... Not only did he get the 0% APR, he also got over $1,000 in factory rebate money and a huge discount from the dealership itself! I have no problem recommending Ford of Kirkland 100% for people living in the Seattle area because they respond promptly, without jerking the customer around, and they got us in and out of the dealership in less than 2 hours. Even the dealer himself, Jim Walen came over to say thank you for visiting his store. I promised Jim I would tell everyone I know in the Seattle area what a great job the Ford of Kirkland team does. After spending $700 on a 60000 tune up and complaining the heater didn't work, the service advisor told us that the "heater was clogged" and quoted nearly $1000 to fix it. Our mistake for not asking ques the heater didn't work, the service advisor told us that the "heater was clogged" and quoted nearly $1000 to fix it. Our mistake for not asking questions, but my husband commented that we didn't need the heater since it was summer and they let him drive out without giving him any further information. Shortly after our engine overheated, blowing the head gasket and cracking the engine block. Our car engine was completely unfixable, and the only option was to replace the engine. They failed to educate us that the HEATER CORE was blocked and this could cause complete engine failure. More

Its also because I service all of my cars by them and although I think they have a great sales team, I think they have the BEST service department. Thank you FordofKirkland More
Ford of Kirkland, led by GM Jim Walen, provides an outstanding example of what a good dealership should be. I have credit issues, and Jim and his entire staff went out of their way to help me. I thoug outstanding example of what a good dealership should be. I have credit issues, and Jim and his entire staff went out of their way to help me. I thought I'd be going in feeling like an outcast, but Jim's team, rather than making me feel like a social outcast, made me feel welcome and valued. My buying experience was outstanding; rather than spending the entire day at the dealership as I expected, I was in and out within just a few hours, driving a new car at an incredible interest rate. I am a customer for life. More
