Not sure why the folks at this dealership don't answer the phone or return calls. I've had a few questions I wanted answered about buying an extended warranty and after a month of trying to get a hold of the phone or return calls. I have been dissatisfied with the customers service for a bit and am over it. Additionally, I am not happy about how my car is handled when in their care for basic maintenance. I've had too many issues that I shouldn't have had to deal with. At this point all I can say is I don't recommend this company. I walked away feeling like they didn't want my business and don't care that I'm unsatisfied. More
These people attempted to steal $2,000 in rebates from me and lied to me about the terms of my contract. Here are the notes: -They tried to pocket $2,000 in rebates I was due. The service manager told me that not everyone knows about the rebates, so they don't include them in the sales price. -They initially offered me an interest rate of 1.9% (Hyundai's going rate at the time). When I demanded my rebates, they gave them to me, but then they jacked up the interest rate to 3.5% without telling me. This (not so coincidentally) made the monthly payment exactly the same as me not taking the rebates and paying 1.9%. -The sales manager told me that they had to make their money one way or another, so I could either take the rebates and pay a higher interest rate or I could forget about the rebates and pay the lower interest rate. He also said that I could take the higher interest rate and refinance after four months. If I refinanced before four months, I would forfeit all rebates I was given. -I reviewed the sales contract. He pointed out the part about prepayment. There was no language in the contract about a prepayment penalty. The sales manager assured me that I had to keep the loan for a total of four months. -I called Hyundai Motor Finance and they had no idea what I was talking about with regards to a prepayment penalty. They said I did not have to keep it for any period of time, and it was fairly common for people to refinance within days of making their purchase. -Searching through Yelp reviews, I discovered I'm not the only person who they have lied to about needing to keep the contract for four months. -Speaking of Yelp, Hyundai of Gilroy's Yelp page is flagged with a suspicious activity warning. Their employees posted dozens of five star reviews (all on the same date from the same IP address) to get a decent Yelp rating. Yelp saw through this and segregated the suspicious reviews. -They have failed to provide an owner's manual. Despite me requesting one over a dozen times over the course of almost six months, I have yet to receive a manual (except one that was more than two years old) or any kind of estimated timeframe of when I would get one...meaning they're not going to provide it. More
Trust all the one start reviews. Advertised price on their website is misleading. Drive almost 3 hrs and BAM. $5000 extra cost not listed anywhere on the site. If I could give - stars I would. This place has the worse customer service. When you try to get in contact with the finance department they will not return your call or help you with your concerns. All the old reviews that I read are exactly what this dealership is about. Scamming people, rude, unhelpful when you have concerns about a car you just bought. Would never recommend this dealership to anybody. More
Before I arrived, I was having a Great deal with the seller, Fernando. after I arrived, they changed their promise. Everything is scam on their deal. Finally, they tried to sell the car which they want to sell and increase a lot fee. However, thIs is how their strategy would be. Completely, wasting your time and patience until you give a higher price to get your favorite car. Moreover, if you are having language barrier or accent as me, they fool you for funny. At the end, I highly don't recommend anyone to that store. More
Gilroy Hyundai lied to me and quoted a price and after driving 2 and 1/2 hours to buy the car the tried to up the price by over $7000 dollars after the salesmen called me with the agreed price. Rudy doesn’t even know the warranty’s for the company he works for, we go in to talk about the warranty for my car. The paint job is not done well. On top of the car it’s peeling and we took it to multiple works for, we go in to talk about the warranty for my car. The paint job is not done well. On top of the car it’s peeling and we took it to multiple paint shops and they all told us this was a bad paint job from Hyundai( manfracture defect) so we take it and Rudy kept telling us over and over there’s no paint warranty, and we knew there was and there is 3 years 36,000 miles. My car was only 2 years and not close to 36000 miles. He lied about the price he would gives us on a new sonota. And he lost my ID when I test drove it. Calls us couple days later sayin he found it. Very rude person. I also had called back couple days later and told him who I was and saying I wanted to be transferred to service department. And the Hangs up. ( I’ll give Rudy benefit of the doubt and say call disconnected. I call again and someone else answered and I get transfers just fine. I had to call Hyundai directly and they told me yes there was Hyundai warranty for paint. And they set up the appointment to have the warranty company look at it. So I take it on Tuesday March 9, the service department dude took the pictures and said he would give us an update on it next week on the 16. Still haven’t received no call from him or anyone in Hyundai of gilroy. I had to call directly with Hyundai. I already reported Rudy directly with Hyundai. Very disappointed with this new owner ship. More
