I had a negative equity of about $6,000 dollars and they were offering me a rebate of $2,000. I explained to the sale manager that I didn't want to put any money down considering I was doing a trade in. She understood and told me she would do every thing in her power to make this deal work. Prior to offering me a deal, she reviewed my credit and income, and also the payment history on my car that I am currently financing and told me that there should be no reason not to have this deal go through. She explained to me the she seen that "I have been paying off my current car for the past 18 months like clock work!" After that she left and asked to give her a few moments to try and contact a bank to make the deal. After about and hour she came back with the conclusion that I needed to return tomorrow when the banks are open and she was sure everything would work out. I had given her explanation on my past experience across the street at Dodge at how they treated me. She explained that they weren't in the business of promising HIGH HOPES! So I left and returned the next day during my lunch to get updated with the decision from the bank. After assuring me this process would be quick and easy, and should be finished before I needed to return to work. I headed straight to the carwash to detail my car as advised by the Sales Manager to get the best value for my car. I ended up there for about 2 hours just for a decision that was no where near what she had promised me the day before. They offered me the car with the same rebate and also still wanted the car to be traded in that I am currently financing with an additional $3,000 down payment and a payment about twice as high as we discussed. I declined the offer and explained to them there was no option of me putting any money down nor having a payment of over $550. I left in such distress and couldn't believe the way I had been treated. 2 weeks passed and I received a call last Wednesday from their Finance Manager stating that she reviewed my file and was looking over the notes of what happened, and invited me back in for a 3rd visit. She stated there was a huge sale going on that the Head Of Marketing was down and wanted to meet me and assured I would not have to put any money down and that they could have me walking out with a new car that day. I was so excited and had been filled with joy when she had relayed this information to me. Immediately after I got off work I headed straight there. Prior to getting there I went to the carwash and detailed my car for the second time to be ready to drive away in my new car. When I arrived I went straight to the Sales Manager that I had been working with and explained the message and information I was proved by the Finance Manager. She went and retrieved the individual and she did in fact assure the sales Manager of our conversation over the phone. As I waited in the cubicle for some information a new sales guy came and retrieved all the same information that I provided two weeks prior. We assessed my car and he went over everything with the Sales Manager I had been working with from day one. After about 2 hours the Sales Manager approached me and stated that she can work out a deal but they want to see a down payment of $1,500. Not only that I had to go from a 2017 Elantra to a 2016 Veloster. I was infuriated when I heard this. After calling me back in for a 3rd visit and told me there would be no need for a down payment, I get informed that they still are requiring one of $1,500 and I have to pick a whole different car. I couldn't believe that they continue to give me high hopes and wasting my personal time from work and all the gas money back in forth. She explained to me to give her some more time and she would try to work something else out but it would have to be for the veloster. After about another 30 minutes she approached me with much better information. She explained to me that a bank has approved me and was willing to do it without a down payment and a monthly payment of $440. I was jumping for joy and couldn't be any happier. She explained that the bank requested for her to call her but it would have to be during business hours to discuss specifics. I agreed and said that would be fine. She asked me to come back tomorrow to finalize the deal and to leave with my new car. Today I get a call from the same Sales Manager explaining the deal has changed yet again. She explained to me that the bank wants a $800 down payment and a monthly payment of $573. I broke down on the inside. My blood pressure rose and I stated getting light headed. I have been through too much stress and headache from this dealership and has caused slight anxiety and has had me distressed for two weeks. Not only that I had accepted the fact when they told me the first time 2 weeks ago about the $3,000 down payment that was needed and I had moved on. But to call me back offer me a deal that I couldn't resist just to get me back in the door and then slap me in the face with all new circumstances the day I was advised to come pick up my new car. Not only that I asked the Sales Manger, the Finance Manager, and also my new sales rep. if they were going to have to run all my credit and information again in order to do this. They all assured me that was not needed and they have all the same information on file. I will be keeping a close eye on my credit reports for any changes for new inquiries, and if so I will be filling a complaint with customer relations and filling a suit because I gave no authorization to do so. And to top it off I called to get corporate contact information from the Sales manager and she refused to do so. I took it upon my self to deliver a copy of this review and to obtain the contact information that I am entitled to for the corporate office and they still refused to do so. The General Sales Manager asked me to come into his office to speak to him. Keep in mind he admitted to me that he has only been there for a week and has already had 3 cases like this he has been dealing with and to have me coming in there pissed him off. he explained to me that they were trying to do their job and as soon as I stated the facts for the whole experience, and my intentions of making sure everyone on social media and any review outlet that had their name associated would know my experience. he immediately started yelling and using fowl language towards me and asked me to leave. very unprofessional and has no sense of integrity. This entire experience has been dreadful and uncalled for. I have been pulled in every direction possible. Promised not to be treated like the last dealer and have been offered deals that keep changing after giving me exciting news about getting my new car. I do not recommend listening to the associates who work there and I recommend going to another Hyundai dealership prior to coming here. They seem sweet and reliable on the outside but when it comes to their money, everything is out the door. They have caused mental distraught, inconveniences for me and my job, money lost from work and anxiety from accepting the fact that I wasn't getting a car then pulling me back in just to put me back through the same swirl of distraught. We had picked a few cars on the lot that we were considering on Sunday and went back on the weekend and were met by Salesman Tim Dealz. After discussing the pros and cons of those cars, Tim took us to one that we had not even seen. The Sonata Sport had everything we wanted!! We left with it and couldn't be happier. This car has the smoothest ride!! It's extremely comfortable and very sporty. If you are looking for a new car I urge you to visit Tim at Athens Hyundai and take a test drive! More

I walked into this Hyundai dealership with my mother and we both got a warm welcome by Tim Dealzwe explained our situation and our previous experiences with other dealerships and he promised to make the process as quick and painless as possible, which he did. He was very efficient, quick, knowledgeable, funny and overall just a pleasure to work with, and after doing a credit check we met the salse manager Ms.Patricia Cheeks who was absolutely fabulous super friendly, great personality, and overall just puts out positive vibes. they sent no survey to review them I took my car to them because the car would not excelerate when I mashed on the gas and the air conditioner was not working. I took my car in on a Tue I took my car to them because the car would not excelerate when I mashed on the gas and the air conditioner was not working. I took my car in on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. They called me after they looked the car over (2001 sante fe) and told me the engine probably needed a sensor and brushes for the ac. Friday I get a call from the Service dept manager saying that the condensor was bad and it turned out not to be the brushes and he then quoted me a higher price. He told me parts for ac had to ordered. The the next week I got a call and I was told that it was not the sensor for the engine and that it was the catalitic converter and again it had to ordered and again the price went up a lot. The next week comes and the service manager calls and said that he would take a 100 dollars off my bill at my request and he would send the car out to another shop because the other shop could do the catalitic converter cheaper. In the middle of the second week it was now two weeks that they had my car. I got my car back and the gas tank was completely on empty. I drove accross the stree to fill up on gas and when I was leaving the gas station I turned the ac on and it worked poorly and I drove another two miles and it did not work. I returned to the dealership and he said the part must be faulty and told me to return with the car Monday morning and I could wait while they fixed it. I also complained that they gave me back my car on completely empty and I had origionally left the car with them with a quarter of a tank. They replaced the faulty part they had put on the air conditioner. I pick up my car again and the ac came on and after driving for 15 minutes it decreased in how cold the air was. I again took it back and the repairman told me in front of the salesman I was talking and said it could be the evaporator and that would be an additional 4 hours of labor to fix that with also the cost additional. I had already paid over a $1000 dollars and I was over two weeks without my car. I brought my car to Hyundai because my car is a Hyundai. I could not believe what was happening and the head manager who I talked to Monday ( after the first wednesday that I initially brought my car in) because of how rude his head service manager had been to me told he would check into things and call me back, He never did, Over the next two weeks I left two messages and he never returned any of my calls. I have never had a car in the shop that long before and I am 67 years old. I have not gone back to them and I never will. They did not send me a survey to complete. My son looked up this survey site for me and we both determined that they don't want negative reviews. The car salemens that was talking to me about buying a new hyundai admitted to me the service dept was not the best. He understood when I told hin that I would never buy a hyundai sante fe from that athens dealership. I will buy new 2017 from gwinnett ga dealership, My name is Jacqueline Milton- very dissappointed More

Hyundai Corporate caused some issues. Due to Hyundai Corporate's refusal to finance at the original rate (it doubled), I feel I am paying too much compared to other Hyundai dealerships adv Due to Hyundai Corporate's refusal to finance at the original rate (it doubled), I feel I am paying too much compared to other Hyundai dealerships advertising payments as low as $145 a month, zero percent interest, rebates, etc. The reason I was given was my credit score which is being reviewed and corrected and I wish I could have waited but I had to have a dependable vehicle immediately. Otherwise Hyundai of Athens was exceptional to deal with. More
