Harassed over text I purchased a vehicle from Escondido Hyundai in 2014. The experience was ok, nothing good or bad stood out. I've received a few mailers from them sinc I purchased a vehicle from Escondido Hyundai in 2014. The experience was ok, nothing good or bad stood out. I've received a few mailers from them since then that I've recycled, no biggie. All of a sudden on January 24, 2017 I get a text on my cell phone from a random phone number. The text introduces Gabriel Murguia. The text is literally longer than a three paragraph email, and half of it is screaming in ALL CAPS about a SELLATHON and CASH BONUSES and discounts for everyone from MILITARY, UBER, etc... It was hands down, the most annoying sales ploy I've ever seen. And it was littered with grammatical errors. Do not go here unless you want your personal information and cell phone to be accessed by people who don't understand professionalism in sales and will harass you years after you purchase. More

Gabriel was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard so we could make a deal. Justin Delgado, sales manager, was very professional and helpful. I now have a new Genesis G80 to replace my 2013 Genesis and I am very thankful for Gabriel and Justin made it work for me. Thank you. More
AMAZING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I never thought that I would be able to get approved for the vehicle I wanted and Jose the manager gave me his word he would make it happen. To my sur I never thought that I would be able to get approved for the vehicle I wanted and Jose the manager gave me his word he would make it happen. To my surprise he fallowed through and got me financed on the car of my choice. It was worth driving 2 hours to get their!!! NO DEALERSHIP GOT ME APPROVED AT THE RATE AND THE TYPE OF CAR I WANTED!!! WHEN ESCONDIDO HYUNDAI SAIS THEY WILL DO SOMETHING THEY DO IT!!!! "THANK YOU" JOSE ALICEA AND SANDRA MATA FOR GETTING MY DEAL DONE!!! No confidence in the writer or the mechanic I took my 2006 Tucson in to have the TPMS light cleared and the sensors programmed. I bought 4 brand new sensors from a local Hyundai dealership, had I took my 2006 Tucson in to have the TPMS light cleared and the sensors programmed. I bought 4 brand new sensors from a local Hyundai dealership, had an outside mechanic install them and was told this vehicle had to be done at the dealer due to type of sensors. No big deal. Made the apt, explained the situation to the service writer, and left the car... 4 hours later I get a call stating that they could not program the sensors due to the fact that I had aftermarket sensors in the car and they wanted to sell me 4 new sensors.. Needless to say I did not have them do anything... I just got the car back from Poway Hyundai and guess what, the TPMS light is cleared, all is good and they did NOT have to replace the sensors. Does not give me a warm feeling about a "dealer" mechanic. More

Salesman Mat Tarokh and General manager Justin Delgado were like the dynamic duo of car sales and finance. They crunched number after number and showed us car after car before we finally settled. Mat and Justin made us feel like more than just a number and I highly recommend anyone looking for a car to ask for these two gentleman. The service was one we will never forget. Deal breaker I took my Sonata in for servicing and ended up leaving with a brand new Veloster Turbo! Originally I was just going to hang around and look while waiting for the servicing of my 2012 Sonata. I was in the market to trade in for something newer but was waiting until I sold my other vehicle first. Jonathan informed me that they could buy my other vehicle from me and gave me the option of getting the full amount issued to me via check or apply a little to a new car and still be able to get some cash out of it. That was the deal breaker. Not having to go through a private sale and spending the time and money to get it sold was music to my ears. Their offer was only a few hundred shy of what my value was quoted on KBB so I said yes! It was very hard letting go of my second vehicle but I knew it was an asset and it was time to let go. Everyone from the service departmant down to Financing was incredible. They make you feel right at home and care about you making such an emotional yet well deserved decision. I couldn't have asked for anything more... well maybe breakfast or lunch being as I was there for nearly 8 hours! Of course I take a lot of fault for that since I couldn't make up my mind what I was looking for :) patience is key and they had a lot of it! More

Five days of scouring online reviews, videos and ultimately participation in the COSTCO Auto Program, brought us in contact with this dealership and specifically with Esan Mirafzal, Internet Sales. From the first phone call within three minutes of me submitting the COSTCO inquiry, to the numerous email, to the visit to the dealership, the test drive and finally the purchase, these people were nothing less than first class. Esan explained and ushered us through each step of the process, a true professional. On Monday, I will return to complete the KARR treatment (exterior/interior sealing, plus rear window tinting). I know I will be welcomed back and look forward to the Escondido Hyundai relationship which we will build over the years which follow. This transaction was totally 'old school;" that's to say it was people centered. We could have bought our fabulous Sonata anywhere. We chose to engage with people, not just a process. I will recommend to family, friends and any casual passerbys, experience the people of Escondido Hyundai, then drive home with a great set of wheels. More

Fantastic service! Car manufacturers evolve, models are constantly changing, dealerships come and go, but great customer service NEVER goes out of style. We most certainly have...and when you find it, you stick with it. In May of 2016, we had our car transmission serviced due to mileage levels but when we got the car back and drove away, we noticed severe issues with downshifting. We returned the car the next day to the Service Department, noting the issues. They took care of it and when we got the vehicle back, it was shifting much better. Unfortunately, over time the shifting problems returned and actually became worse. When we took the car back in, we were told that we would need to replace the transmission. We had a brief discussion with Steve Enriquez, the Parts and Service Director, who recalled the issues that the car had had after the transmission flush (three flushes total due to two faulty machines that Hyundai had received) and promised to take care of the problem for us. Now, when something like this happens at other dealerships, you have to do all kinds of ranting, go through crazy gyrations, and ultimately raise your blood pressure to dangerous levels multiple times in order to get any kind of help. Our experience was the exact opposite. Literally, we never did anything more than that short discussion with Steve. He recognized the problem and seriously committed to getting us the help we needed. Unfortunately, the timing of the worsening of the shifting couldn't have been worse. We had a long vacation coming up that we absolutely couldn't reschedule, which would have pushed out the transmission fix by weeks if not months. Steve absolutely went the extra mile for us: after we delivered the keys to him, his team picked up the car at our appointment time from our home in San Marcos, drove it to the dealership in Escondido, completely replaced the transmission, cleaned the car, and drove it back to San Marcos, depositing it back exactly where it had been in our driveway. So from our perspective, we left the car in our driveway, flew off to Kauai, had a fantastic vacation, and when we came back and I got in the car, the only way that I knew that anything had happened was that it had been completely cleaned, there was a paper floormat down, and whoever drove the car was shorter than I am. The shifting was back on track and life was great! I really can't say enough about what Steve did for us. No fighting or pushing or long, angry phone calls. Steve ran interference for us and got it done with the kind of committed professionalism that is incredibly rare these days. This kind of amazing customer service is something that we had thought had gone away many years ago but Steve showed us that it still exists. To be completely candid, given the huge demands that my long daily commute places on my car, we had started thinking about investigating other car makes like Honda or Toyota. But we've completely reconsidered: nothing compares with exceptional customer service. Our next car will be a Hyundai from Escondido Hyundai! More

I have been looking for a Sante Fe for a few months. I inquired online and was put in touch with jennifer. I made sure off the bat that I was looking for a specific interior and exterior color. Surprisingly they had it. I told her I wanted the bottom line out the door price. I was quoted $33,134. I made sure and asked if that included tax. Her response was, "yes with tax!!" I was pleased with the price and told her I would be going going to my credit union the next day since they were closed for veterans day. Oh and btw she told me that the owner Abe was a veteran which I was glad to hear. So I show up the next day and find out that the vehicle I wanted was traded to another dealership that same night. Also the price I was quoted didn't include tax. I don't see how when she emphasised that it did include tax. I had a hyundai to trade in that I was told if I bought a car that Justin would approve of me getting $9000 for it. Well the sales manager Justin came out and new nothing about it. He half heartedly appoligized for the mistake and reluctantly agreed to give me $9000 for the car. As far as honoring the price in was given, he would do no such thing. He even went so far as to raise the price on a different car and include my trade in to make it seem as though I was getting a better deal when in fact my trade in and the new car are two separate deals. I asked about the honesty they boast about and the fact that the owner being a veteran if they would have the decency of honoring their word and Justin basically smurked and shrugged off the question. I feel like this was a classic bait and switch that I feel into. I can't speak for the quality of their vehicles but I can on the honesty and integrity of a couple of employees. BEWARE OF A GOOD DEAL HERE!!!! More
