I had an appointment scheduled for an hour of service along with them inspecting my brakes and battery. It did not take an hour as expected, it took almost 8 hours but Terrence the service advisor never along with them inspecting my brakes and battery. It did not take an hour as expected, it took almost 8 hours but Terrence the service advisor never informed me of the extra time and avoided all of my calls. I eventually had to call in and get the service schedulers to go to his desk, confirm he was there, let him know I was on the phone and then transfer me to him but he wouldn’t answer. This had happened multiple times. When I showed up to pick up the vehicle I was obviously upset and Terrance did not help the situation by being unprofessional and argumentative. Not only was I never informed of the extra time (6+hours) but then the repairs were not made because it was now closing time. I also do not understand how Terrence is in the customer service industry, been with the company for over a year and has yet to set up his voicemail and the company somehow is OK with that More
The service department at Escondido Hyundai has certainly improved with regards to customer service techs for the better! Nice young woman who greeted me when I drove up to service dept. She notified my service tech who was quick to check in my 2013 Sonata to get its 4th recall inspection.. I was told it would be a 3 hour wait and appreciated my service tech offered to give me a lift to nearby Starbucks. I was close enough to walk but he took time to direct me on best traffic crossings to take. I was grateful he showed concern for my safety! A new fuel line had to be installed at no cost to me and I was pleased the mechanic did a complete safety inspection as well! More
I was going to take my car to Bob Baker Hyundai in Carlsbad, but they weren't even going to look at it for 4 weeks. Escondido said 1 week so I brought it here. They ended up getting started on it right away and I had my car back before the appt date they had set for me. I'm very happy, they did a great job and kept me informed every step of the way. I will be bringing my car here from now on! More
They do not value their word, they do not value customer. All they are is for their own selfish need and greed. Here are the details. I was interested in the Hyundai Nexo and reserved the car by paying $500. This itself is NOT considered a good practice by decent car dealers, which I found out later. I waited nearly 2 months for the car to arrive. Before that I tried to test drive and they set up an appointment for that. I sat in the car and was about to pull out into of the parking when some sales dude comes and stops saying this car is not ready to drive. They were all mixed up and without being apologetic sent me back. I was patient and still continued to follow up for the car I was hoping to buy. In the next few weeks, they kept asking me if I was interested as if my $500 was not enough. Just poor sales tricks annoying me constantly. In fact one of the calls, the rep tells me that he had asked for my deposit to be refunded .. out of the blue. When my car finally arrived on Aug 24th, they again did not sound any excited to be selling the car but the old drill that if not interested they have many waiting to get one. Gosh, how horrible can some people get. They tried to sell to me an alarm system and some other packages. They have a nice system that lets you configure your car but it is not something they use. I removed those packages but they slap those back on during the sale. Really, what's your problem?!! Once you configure it says set up a test drive which I did. It took them 5 days to complete car inspection - something fishy going on there?? and my test drive happened only on 31st. I assumed just a test drive ... but the saga continued. It was after work hours and after test driving I said I would come back tomorrow. I was with my kids and they had dinner, homework. They were least concerned of my situation but insisted that I buy it now else they will give it away to someone else. What nonsense? When I reserved they said they would hold the car for my decision for 48 hours even after test drive. Another 30 mins to get them to take those extra packages out. All drama going back and forth by a really dumb sales associate having to go to the manager each time. Drama drama drama. I was out of time at this point in time and said will come and finalize 11am next day. They said ok. Overnight, they claimed to have sold the car. And next day when I called to come for 11am they gave me this news. Then they backtracked and asked me to come at 11am. Then they again changed course and said sold. I am quite convinced about a few things about this dealership: they can easily lie, they have no morals, they do not care about customers and they have malpractice going on. I am reporting them to various agencies soon since they refused to honor their word even after this failure, no apologies ... nothing! More
They did a great job. However, the were grease smears on the drivers door, and they used to just rinse off the vehicle when it was done. We can do a tad better with making sure there are no noticeable grease smudges on the exterior of the vehicle when work has been completed… all that said, they always do a good job. Thanks More
