Service I do not take my car to dealerships unless I absolutely have to. My Subaru Outback failed inspection at my local shop. The code was indicating passe I do not take my car to dealerships unless I absolutely have to. My Subaru Outback failed inspection at my local shop. The code was indicating passenger side air bag. The shop suggested taking it to the dealership. The issue was a sensor in the overhead light compartment which ultimately had to be replaced. A simply YouTube search shows the replacement takes less than 10 minutes and any novice mechanically inclined person to do. I was charge an hours labor as well as shop fees. The explanation for shop fees was, "rags and things". I was also charged an hours worth of labor for diagnostics. The diagnostics had already been done. I left 4 messages for the service manager to please call me. He never did. DO NOT HAVE YOUR CAR SERVICED AT HYMAN SUBARU! More

New Car Purchase Nightmare My 2013 Subaru that I loved was totaled in a flood. I went to Hyman Brothers Subaru to buy another one. Salesman was great! Business office completed My 2013 Subaru that I loved was totaled in a flood. I went to Hyman Brothers Subaru to buy another one. Salesman was great! Business office completed DMV work incorrectly, lost my down payment, didn't provide me with all copies of transaction and one employee even told me that I was insane! When I returned to pay down payment again in person, Mr. Hyman helped me personally. I asked to cancel all 3 warranties purchased and to get $50 for a test drive offered on their website. When reviewing my paperwork, I discovered over $200 in fees for warranties. Mr. Hyman did have a check sent to me for these errors. 2 warranties were refunded, but I have not received the refund for the last $695.00 warranty or the $50 for the test drive. It has been nearly 6 months, and the last communication from Mr Hyman was 2 months ago. I was promised the $695, but I date I have not received any refund. The majority of phone calls are not returned and texts are unanswered. I only want this dealership to follow through on their promises and resolve this situation. More

Three items to resolve; battery was boiling over, drivers seat had a defect in the material and the emblem on the horn had become broken up. None of the items were addressed other than being told the battery boiling over was normal battery chemistry. The service manager was supposed to call back on the other two items...never did. Called three times was told each time the service manager would call back. It’s mid March and guess what...no call. Took the car back to the dealership where it was purchased and all three items were resolved. Cannot recommend this dealership for service. More

We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing service on thier Subaru. They are very customer oriented and will go out of thier way to assist you. Thier waiting room is better than most hotel lobbies complimentary everything. Wifi, snacks, coffee, bottled water and even a dog sometimes. It's hard these days to find a service dept that is so customer oriented but we found one here. We will continue to use them in the future. Keep up the good work Ed, Jesse and Lee and everyone else at Hyman bros Subaru. Thank you very much for the great job so far, keep it up. More
Best Car Buying Experience EVER It was the best car buying experience that I have ever had. I live in NC and bought a used Subaru from here because it was exactly what I wanted. Darryl was the salesperson and he and Joel made it such a comfortable experience. It was the first time I didn't feel like throwing up when I bought a car in about 40 years of owning cars. When I decided to drive to Richmond (Midlothian) to get the car he came in on his day off to show me all the features with the Eyesight technology. He and Joel arranged everything and took time to make sure I had everything that I needed. My friend's car charger didn't charge my phone and he let me use his charger in his office and bought me a charger for my new (used) Subaru, while Joel was working with me. The lady at the DMV said I needed the title and Joel didn't just mail it, he Fed Exed it to me. More
Financing debacle We have been exceedingly happy with our Subaru vehicles. We leased one in November of 2015 and decided to buy it in November of 2017. The deal has s We have been exceedingly happy with our Subaru vehicles. We leased one in November of 2015 and decided to buy it in November of 2017. The deal has still not been finalized due to mistakes on Hyman Brothers financial department. Our lease still shows an outstanding balance despite repeated efforts to rectify this. The person working on the deal did not return any of our emails or calls and we did not hear from the manager after placing two calls. We filed a complaint with Hyman Brothers and did not hear from them. It is rare for me to write a review of this nature but the service has been so incredibly bad. I highly recommend the Subaru vehicle but I do not recommend Hyman Brothers. More

I traded in my car for one of Hyman Bros I dealt with Jamie Makeay at the Hyman Bros. used car facility at 11840 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, Va. I traded in my car for one of Hyman Bros. inventory in the used car facility. Jamie got me a substantial increase over the appraised car of my trade-in which helped me cover the no-haggle pricing of my newer car.Jamie was extremely nice and sociable over a 2 day period, while I zeroed in on the right car for me. He was heavy on tech. knowledge about the cars of interest and guided me thru a comparison shopping list of the possible choices. His after-sale demeanor was equally helpful in getting me up and running on car basics. My wife has purchased a car from this location, and we are equally satisfied with the experience!
