I've purchased 3 cars from the same salesperson over the course of 10years and I've enjoyed everyone of them. Will Holland has been there every step of the way as our sales consultant at hyannis honda, he h course of 10years and I've enjoyed everyone of them. Will Holland has been there every step of the way as our sales consultant at hyannis honda, he has been a pleasure to work with and has made every transaction painless and hassle free. I drive a honda fit and its been one of the best vehicles I have every owned. My whole family drives honda's and the joke of the neighborhood is if its ok to pull in the driveway if they don't have a honda because there is usually 4 or 5 in the driveway at all times. The service dept at hyannis honda has been great there are times I want to get my oil changed and they are kind enough to tell me I'm not ready yet and to come back when the car tells me too. From sales to service its a joy to buy and car and see the same people year after year and the same service people to work on my car year after year. I can't say enough for the staff. thanks again hyannis honda, I will tell everyone I know about you guys sandy booth More
I wrote the review concerning my leaking oil pan. After I wrote the review concerning my leaking oil pan. After I filed a request for arbitration assistance with the Massachusetts Attorney Generals Office, I wrote the review concerning my leaking oil pan. After I filed a request for arbitration assistance with the Massachusetts Attorney Generals Office, my case was refered to the local (Cape Cod) Consumer Assistnace Council. They were helpful in providing a intermediary with the dealership. They sent my complaint through the Attorney General's office to the dealership upon which I soon heard from Mr. Raymond Rainy. Mr. Rainy was very reasonable and was willing to discuss the repair with me from a perspective that was fair. He stated that their policy in their shop is to always inform the customer when this particular problem happens with car and he also stated that his mechanic, who he vouched for as very reliable, did not recall installing the self-tapping screw in my oil pan. He apologized that this protocol was not followed in my particular case and offered to cover 1/2 of the cost of repair to my vehicle as a gesture of good will towards my continued patronage of his shop. I appreciate that he took the time to address this issue with me personally. My degree is in mechanical engineering, and I am still of the opinion that a steel self-tapping bolt in an aluminum pan with stripped threads is a poor fix to a vehicle as it would at best be a one time fix to a problem which needs to be addressed with a replacement part. I think the effort the shop put into making things right once I made a formal complaint indicates that they are very concerned about their public image and take seriously their role in being a fair broker to consumers. I will plan to use their shop in the future for honda repairs which are necessary as I prefer to have the vehicle serviced at a location where they are familiar with my vehicle, in this instance it didn't work out that way, but I am confident that was an exception to the rule. I brought Honda van in for service. As part of service they performed an oil change. After oil change, oil pan was leaking. I brought car to a local shop and they informed me that the dealer must have s they performed an oil change. After oil change, oil pan was leaking. I brought car to a local shop and they informed me that the dealer must have stripped the threads off the pan when they did the oil change as there was now a self tapping drain plug installed which was/is now leaking. Local service guy told me that they should have replaced the pan as stripping the threads is indicative of poor workmanship and self tapping bolts like this do not work well with aluminum oil pans as they should be aware as they tend not to seat properly Called Hyannis Honday and spoke with Patrick McPherson, he told me that it wasn't their fault. These pans strip all the time - sometimes after 5 sometimes after 100 oil changes - not their fault -- and they wouldn't pay for the damage that they did to the car during their service to it. Local guy is still shaking his head as I am I. I refered my complaint to the Massachusetts Consumer Complaint office within the Attorney Generals office. Needless to say - I won't go back and recommend that others find more responsible service departments to repair their vehicles. More
This dealership are the biggest xxxxxxxx, they lie right to your face. I was told I could pick up my car one on a Friday, then it was Monday then sometime next week, finally after calling I was told to come to your face. I was told I could pick up my car one on a Friday, then it was Monday then sometime next week, finally after calling I was told to come in, after waiting hours i left with a loaner car because my car was still not ready. After getting my car I was to get it inspected I showed up at the time I was told to and the salesman says that the inspection machine is down....I bet my right arm he was lying to me, why wouldn't he have called me to let me know the machine was down, why wait for me to arrive, just to xxxx me off. I was told i would receive a check in the mail for the junk value of the car i traded in, after 90 days i still had not received the check and complained and was told because the cost of handling the car I would not receive a check....THEY LIED, I confronted the sales manager about this and he yelled at me to not speak to him in that tone, I walked out. I ordered an armrest when I had purchased the vehicle after 90 days and no response i was told that they had received it but it was sent back, I never received a call and i never had a message on my voice-mail, I bet my left arm they never even ordered it in the first place. Even the employees hate this place. In short if you want to be lied to and nickel and dimed to death get your honda here....i personally wish i had never even gotten a honda its brand new and i hate the xxxx out of that car. More
Price was much higher then I could buy the car elsewhere (off cape). Didn't seem to even care if I bought the car someplace else. Took phone calls on his cell phone while we were trying to buy the car. My (off cape). Didn't seem to even care if I bought the car someplace else. Took phone calls on his cell phone while we were trying to buy the car. My wife told him that he was rude and he gave her a shy smile as if to say "I know". Their service department is excellent, too bad their sales department hasn't learned from them. I will take my car there for service, but I will never ever buy a car from them. More
Wanted to purchase a new 2007 Honda Civic EX. Live near by so thought we would use a local dealership. Salesman was not responsive to our needs. Did not try to locate a car that had the options desired. by so thought we would use a local dealership. Salesman was not responsive to our needs. Did not try to locate a car that had the options desired. Said what he had on the lot was it. When we said we could be enticed to purchase a car on his lot right away and could he do a little better on the price he said "You must be kidding, these cars fly off the lot every day at msrp so I can't do any better on the price." He was very negative and unhelpful. Called my buddy off Cape for a reference and found the right car at a discounted price. Did all the dealing over the telephone and picked up the car w/in 24 hours. Treated to hot cookies and coffee while we waited for the car and entertained by the witty, pleasant sales staff at Clair Honda. Swung by Hyannis Honda out of curiosity a week later and the car we asked to purchase at a reasonable price was still for sale despite the claim that "these cars fly off the lot every day at msrp". Bottom line is save alot of money and be treated like a human being by going off-Cape to the real auto dealers. More
My only experience with this dealer was six years ago when I was shopping for my Accord. Because of their idiotic treatment, I never had cause to return. I had been carefully pricing Accords, reading t when I was shopping for my Accord. Because of their idiotic treatment, I never had cause to return. I had been carefully pricing Accords, reading the sites like Edmunds and getting some serious help with invoice numbers, dealer incentives, etc. and what to expect for a fair price. After getting all the dealership information on which ones were in a reasonable distance from the cape (lived there at the time), it was time to start visiting and test driving. My husband and I met with a salesguy who quickly passed us along to a sales manager (whether or not that was an actual title, I don't know). We briefly talked numbers and we questioned why his were so much higher than other dealers. He gave us the advertising fee talk and a bunch of other bogus reasons, but the finishing touch was when he whipped out this little binder and showed us his invoice price. It was clearly something he had typed up himself on Word, and tried to make it look official by using the binder. I pointed out to him that his invoice price was $600.00 more than what everyone else's was, including the Edmunds site. (Now how could that be???) He had no explanation and kept repeating that it was definately right. OK, then. I went later in the week to Barry's Honda in Dartmouth and got everthing I wanted in the Accord, including a better price. And (shocker) their invoice did not include the extra 600 bucks. More
