We were shown available used CRVs, educated on their features and discussed availability. We negotiated the pricing on a car but had to think it over. The second visit, on the following Saturday it all went downhill. We had to drive to Orleans because the car we were interested in had been moved down there. We dealt with a different salesperson who refused to honor the quote that was presented the previous week, telling us that the first salesman wasn't there that day and the sales manager that we had worked with was not there either (lie #1, we saw him in the office later). We left the dealership in Orleans on search of other CRVs off cape. An hour later the salesman called and told us that he would sell the car to us for the price that we had wanted in the first place. We drove back on cape --two hours wasted. We were told the car was certified (lie #2). After we finished all of the paperwork, had given a deposit and began discussing a pick up time, we were told that it had not 'actually' been certified yet. It still had to be inspected and the necessary repairs made. Had I known this I never would have given a deposit. I questioned whether everything would be fixed properly since they already had a sale on it. I even pointed out that the car fax showed that the car had electrical issues twice within the last six months. I was assured it would be properly addressed (lie #3). When we sat down with the finance manager, we were presented with loan information. When I asked why we were not offered the advertised promotional rate (.09/1.9%) he stated that it was not available (lie #4) because my daughters student loans would not qualify her for it even tough she had a 727 FICO score. Low and behold, after I challenged him, he came back and said that he could get the lower rate. We did not end up getting this rate because we wanted a longer term than what was available. At this point I had to be doing my own research on my smartphone because I was not believing anything he was telling me. Setting a pick up time, I figured that it would be all smooth sailing from here on in--wrong! The largest problems were yet to come..... When we arrived to pick up the car, I walked around it to inspect it. When I got to the front, I noticed a very large dent. I pointed it out to the salesman, Steve Chase, and he instantly said that it was there when I looked at the car initially (lie #5). He quickly backed down and we had to get the sales manager involved. After a week in the body shop and two separate trips to Hyannis (they did provide a rental car) the car was fixed. Ten days later, on the first very cold night of the year, the car would not start. AAA jumped it. I called to have the issued addressed and talked to a very rude and defensive General Sales Manager, Jasen O'Neil. He told me to bring the car into service (trip #3 to the dealership in 3 weeks since buying the car). At this point it seems like it is the remote start is draining the battery. The service manager has been the first person who I feel is treating me fairly. He has scheduled a new remote start to be installed. More
MY experience I've purchased 3 vehicles in the past 12 years from Hyannis Honda. My daughter ( who just graduated from nursing school ) and I went to Hyannis Honda I've purchased 3 vehicles in the past 12 years from Hyannis Honda. My daughter ( who just graduated from nursing school ) and I went to Hyannis Honda to purchase a vehicle for her. We were approached by a "Senior Sales Person" ( Been there for many years ) I explained I was a loyal customer and my daughter who was gainfully employed and was wondering if they could give her some sort of a deal on a vehicle. He told us this wasn't possible. After a few minutes I realized he wasn't going to help her. We left and went to Hyannis Toyota and within 4 hours my daughter left with a car. Since this experience I have purchased another vehicle off Cape. I have been contacted by Hyannis Honda to see if they can get my business back. I will see when I go to the dealership later this week. More
