Seth was with us all through the sales and has called to see if we are doing ok and if any problems he would help and guide us through. Today we went to the dealership and he explained some of the things we did not understand. We would recommend others to this dealership. Everyone we met and had experience with was very courteous. They dropped me at work and picked me up, and discovered a couple other issues with the car (which they fixed free of charge) while in the shop. I was simply delighted by the experience. More

There were 3 dents that were not mentioned before we drove all the way there...and when we asked them to take them out (at their $250 cost) the response was that they are throwing in the FLOORMATS!!! Um, am I crazy or should a 2015 come WITH FLOORMATS? Not exactly what I'd call good customer service - what a waste of time. PS- be prepared for a RIDICULOUS documentation fee! (Like an additional $450-Ish after all is said and done. Don't waste your time! More
Poor follow-up after vehicle purchase! Our brand new vehicle purchase made with Husker Auto Group fell thru - on their end. Everything was completed, with the exception of them handing us the keys. ALL of the details were discussed. ALL of the warranty was reviewed. ALL of the paperwork was filled out AND signed. EVERYTHING was complete... even down to the 'In Transit' signs. However, the vehicle we agreed upon was located in KC, and was actually unavailable. We understand things happen. We could have lived with that, and worked with them to find another vehicle, but... Although we were told that they would keep us informed when the other dealership was contacted, when the vehicle arrived in Lincoln and again when the vehicle was ready for us to pick up the keys... the calls never came. All this, we were told, would take place in the next 3-4 days. It was only after we contacted them a week later did we learn ANYTHING! On our first call (Kathy was unavailable so I asked to speak with someone in Sales and was connected with David)... I asked about our purchase and his response was "oh I don't know. Let me check into that and I will personally call you back in 15-20 minutes." The call never came. I finally called back 2 1/2 hours later... and we were informed at that time that the sale fell thru. My question to him was "okay...and you were going to tell us this... when?" Long story short... as I questioned "now what" I was told numerous times that "we're really busy today. It's the last day of the month and we're just really really busy." Seriously?? Each and every person that walks into that dealership on the last day of the month is a potential customer. A POTENTIAL customer! We WERE a customer. I asked "what does this mean for us? We left a deposit check with you and were told if we backed out of the deal, you would keep the deposit. That made sense to us. But now what? So what's in this for us? You broke the deal. Now what?" I was quickly informed "oh we would never keep your check. We don't operate like that. Who told you that?" And "those vehicles are really popular right now. There just aren't many of them available. We'll keep trying to find one for you... if that's what you want. But we're just really busy today." Blah... blah... blah... After discussion on our end and a total of three phone calls, we decided we would take our business elsewhere. Again, we understand that things happen. Deals fall thru. But the idea that we were not kept informed... on anything... given the 'heads up' about the situation, given the opportunity to decide on our end what we wanted to do next... whether we wanted them to "keep trying to find one" or whether we chose to go with something completely different... was very disappointing. I informed David that we just wanted our paperwork back - ALL of the paperwork that we had signed, anything that had our information or names on it. Was this too much to ask? I left one more message for Kathy as well. As the salesperson we had dealt with, I asked that she give us the curtesy of seeing our request be taken care of ASAP. She informed me that she would, and that she would follow-up with us to make sure we had received it. But I never heard from Kathy again. And... another week later we still hadn't received the paperwork. Although I left a couple of messages, those calls were not returned. It was only after I contacted corporate GMC with my concerns, that we were immediately connected back with Husker Auto. As I repeated our experience, first to Dana and later to Terry, their reactions were of surprise. Interesting to us though... after Dana "looked into where our paperwork was" and a return call was made to me stating "apparently David dropped it in the outgoing US mail on Saturday" (six days prior)... it was not immediately clear to us that... no, it had not been dropped in outgoing mail on Saturday, as we had been informed. It in fact, arrived the next day, clearly marked... 'Priority Overnight' and was delivered by FedEx. Why was there a need to lie about it? Why not be honest and just tell me they had 'dropped the ball', but they would immediately see to the task. That said, not everything was returned in the overnight delivery and yet another call was made requesting the remainder of our personal information, which we did receive via USPS the next day. After my contact with Dana, I received a call from Terry. During my conversation with him I repeated to him too, that we understand deals fall thru, but that is not what disappointed us. Rather the lack of care, the lack of concern and the failure to keep us informed caused our disappointment. He did his best to apologize, wanted to know what they could do and encouraged us to let them help us locate the vehicle we wanted. I told him that wasn't necessary; that we had ordered our vehicle of choice at another dealership. I repeated to him "I just want our paperwork." He offered me a gift card for a meal. I repeated "I just want our paperwork." He offered to extend an additional two years of free oil changes on our new vehicle, even though we were purchasing at another dealership. I again repeated "I just want our paperwork." He asked me to stop by sometime and visit with him face-to-face for five minutes, so that in the future we would feel wanted and welcome at Husker Auto. Once more I told him "I just want our paperwork." Our business with Husker Auto is behind us. We will never drive thru their lot again. We will never deal with them again. But our experience with Husker Auto is one that I would hate to have repeated with anyone else. They were interested in making a sale. They were interested in taking our money. The deal was made and numerous handshakes were given. The only thing we didn't do... was 'ring the gong'. We were going to do that when we picked up the keys... More
