I have NEVER been treated as poorly as I was this evening. Drove over an hour to visit the dealership after talking to both Jay and Carina about our previous negative experience at a different dealer evening. Drove over an hour to visit the dealership after talking to both Jay and Carina about our previous negative experience at a different dealership and being told verbally AND via text that the price online was the price that would be honored at their dealership. Got there and the car we were there to look at was out of gas, so we drove around the lot before randomly picking up a porter and driving to a gas station so that he could put gas in the car. Was told I should test drive the car from there, and the porter remained with us in the back seat for the ride. I knew significantly more about the vehicle than the salesman did, although he claimed he was certified to sell that specific vehicle - he was unclear on the year, the trim level, and the features. Got back to the dealership and sat down to work out a deal and was offered the hilarious value of $4,000 for my current car - less than half of the number I was offered at two separate dealerships previously AND, ironically, less than half of the number KBB spit out when I ran it through ON Huntley Ford's website. I was told that they had no idea WHERE I came up with my number... Then the real fun began. Our salesman could not get his numbers straight, giving us prices in a half hour time frame that ranged from $43,000 to over $54,000. He wouldn't let me see the sales sheet and couldn't give us a straight answer when I asked what the actual sale price on the car was and to have the numbers broken down for us. He kept getting flustered and going back to the sales manager's desk. The car I was interested in is two years old, has over 16,000 miles on it, is a Limited version and is listed as such online although the salesman INSISTED it was the next level up even though that trim level didn't exist yet at the time the car was made, and was listed online for $46,946. At the end of the ridiculous haggling session they expected us to give them our trade-in for $7500 and still pay $50,000 on TOP of that, making the grand total we would be paying them $57,500 (yep, that number somehow jumped from $43,000 and no I couldn't begin to tell you how that happened), which was $4,000 MORE than what a previous dealership wanted for the brand-new version and $7,000 over MSRP sticker price on a *new* car that is the next trim level up, not the two year old version with miles and wear already on it. When I pointed out that the car had been sitting on their lot for 43 days after Dan the sales guy told me people were beating down their door from Minnesota trying to buy the car, I was told it "must have been in transit." The icing on the cake was when we were treated to a conversation with Abe the sales manager, which began with the salesman saying, "Come on over here babe, let's make a deal." Abe wanted to know why we thought he should sell us the car for the price THEY listed it at online, told us we "drove in from Wisconsin because we couldn't get the car in Wisconsin" which a simple Google search/call to any car dealership can easily prove is untrue (there are 47 listed within 50 miles of me at the time of this post), and then asked why he should sell the car to us when he could get "wholesale price" for it. It was genuinely the sleaziest, most insulting conversation I have ever had, particularly as someone who was fully prepared and able to buy a car today knowing what the current car market is like. I hope Abe and his buddies are able to find a sucker who's willing to put up with their gross condescension, lies, arrogance, and magic numbers they pull out of thin air. Believe the bad reviews you read here and other places online. DO NOT work with these people. And don't call me babe. More

They are the epitome of what you fear in used car salesman. I was ready to pay sticker price on a 2019 F450 in cash. The sales manager reviewed the offer and jacked the price up $5,000 for FEES...... salesman. I was ready to pay sticker price on a 2019 F450 in cash. The sales manager reviewed the offer and jacked the price up $5,000 for FEES........Not taxes...for FEES......I was told i had to pay for repairs that were needed on the truck that they had just bought at the auction. They are not in the business of selling cars: they are in the business of gouging people. They just use cars as a tool to do it. They will bend you over. I bought one from Gregg Smith Ford in Missouri. More
