Shady with a capital S. I was trying to purchase a used EV from this dealer. I made it very clear the start that my offer was including all fees and add-ons, in addition I was trying to purchase a used EV from this dealer. I made it very clear the start that my offer was including all fees and add-ons, in addition to the sales price. They agreed. It took a full day to get the OTD breakdown, and when I got it, they were trying to add on 3k worth of add ons and fees. Not only was this flat out not what I offered initially, but it breaks the IRS rules to get the federal EV credit. And then, they tried to claim it does not because the sales price itself was under 25k. Literally on the IRS website it says: "Have a sale price of $25,000 or less. Sale price includes all dealer-imposed costs or fees not required by law." A lot of shady dealers will do this - claim you can get the credit, take it off at point of sale, then you get left with the bag when the IRS disqualifies you next tax season and you have to pay back the 4k. I kept pointing this out and reiterating the exact offer I had already sent, and they kept claiming they're a "big dealer" and that's why I should trust this isn't an issue. I'll take my chances with the IRS literally spelling it out, thanks. I'm not proud of my communications with them thereafter, but considering practices like this can literally put some people in financial ruin, I could not handle the level of disregard at hand. I took my business elsewhere, and I suggest you do as well. Days of back and forth with little transparency and a whole lot of gaslighting, for nothing. More
I have a general rule about not writing bad reviews because I understand how important they are to businesses. But 27 days after purchasing my car I still cannot drive it, so it is time to tell the tru because I understand how important they are to businesses. But 27 days after purchasing my car I still cannot drive it, so it is time to tell the truth to help others avoid what I have experienced. My car was delivered today--a full two weeks late--without a title or temporary plates. This is after being given bad information and outright lied to during the last 10 days about when it would arrive. I have been calling them all day long today and given promise after promise to call me back. First they lied and said the title was sent yesterday. That was clearly meant to cover up the fact that they still had it and didn't even realize they should have sent it to me. I have finally been given a tracking number, but it has not been scanned in at UPS, so who knows if it will actually be shipped today? And even if it is, the next available appointment with the State to get it registered is next Tuesday--one full month after buying it. Half the people who answer the phone identify themselves as a manager, and they all apologize, but none of them takes responsibility for the fiasco. One bright spot is Christina who provided me with her direct extension and said I could always ask for her, but that was after 10 days of incredibly ridiculous treatment, and as a salesperson she has no power. I have bought a lot of cars in my life and always been treated well, until now. This is clearly a case of them not caring once they have your money. Please take your business elsewhere. Even I consider that this is just very poor management, not deliberate bad behavior, there are other places more deserving of your business. As other people have said in reviews of this company, I would give them a "no star" rating if that were possible. P.S.: Christina just called me back to check in and see if I was able to talk to the manager. I told her if she ever decides to move to a different dealership I will be happy to be her customer. More
Taking time to review is not something I normally do, but people should beware and know what they are up against with this dealership. I've given plenty of time for them to make things right even when I sho people should beware and know what they are up against with this dealership. I've given plenty of time for them to make things right even when I shouldn't have, yet not one person (salesperson through management) has kept their word through this process. I will be looking into deceptive sales practices next to know my rights, but I was promised my approval through my business with me personally guaranteeing the loan would not hit my personal credit report. Adding the text picture saying that there was 0% chance of it hitting my credit report. Lie, it's on my credit report. Deceptive sales practice. Secondly, the Tesla Model X I purchased has a piece of trim fly off while driving. No one hurt, but you can see it had literal tape holding it together. Took it to a body shop, and they stated the vehicle had definitely been in an accident and the damage had not truly been fixed, just held together. 2k of damage that had not been disclosed to me... deceptive sales practice. I'm 4 months into the car, having more issues so took the car into get serviced, and looking into the coverage the warranty they sold me and couldn't find any of the coverage outlined in paperwork I signed or was given to me. Called the company, got an outline of the warranty, and it covers electrical issues only and only a few major electrical issues at that. Zero coverage on normal parts of the car. Absolutely was a bait and switch making it seem like I'm buying coverage that would handle major issues of the car. Is not disclosing coverage of a warranty I'm trying to get in place even a legal practice? Regardless, this is absolutely another deceptive sales practice. Even with all of this, I was willing to cut my loses. I live in Nor Cal, drove down to So Cal to buy this car, but was in a time crunch so leaned on the fact that all cars I have purchased through dealerships before I was sold a solid car. Here, I was promised they would buy and send me a Tesla charger. Another promise before I said yes to the purchase. A month went by, people stopped responding, and I go back down to the location pissed about being lied to. Another manager spoke with me, said they would handle it, wrote out and handed me a bill of sale for the charger, and I went on my way. That was mid November, it is now January, still no charger. Lie, after lie, after lie throughout this entire process... with plenty of opportunity to make it right and just do what was promised, send me a charger. An inability to do right by a client is why I have to share this review. By far my worst experience ever buying a car, and I have bought a ton of them over the years. Buyers beware. More
Worst dealership sales experience ever. I found they had the exact vehicle I wanted online. I called them with the money to pay for it that day. I talked to SIX different people over the I found they had the exact vehicle I wanted online. I called them with the money to pay for it that day. I talked to SIX different people over the course of three weeks before they finally completed the sale. The main salesperson was unprofessional, a terrible communicator, dishonest in how he represented the numbers, and frankly, sexist in how he dealt with me. I would ask specific questions about a page of the contract or sales numbers and he would evade the answer. The contract they sent was different than what we'd discussed. No one explained anything about the sales process and they didn't let me know when the car was shipping (I found out from the shipping company the day before). I finally asked to speak to a manager and it took two entire days for the manager to call me. I would have walked but was so close to completing the transaction for the car I wanted that I just put up with it. Once they shipped me the car, they did so without the license plates or registration. Zero stars. More
My new car is great, I love it! But save yourself endless amounts of stress, issues caused by them that you’re left to fix on your own, time and money and never lease or buy it from But save yourself endless amounts of stress, issues caused by them that you’re left to fix on your own, time and money and never lease or buy it from Huntington Beach Hyundai!!! They are in touch while you are buying and while they call you to give them a good review (which is required for them to be paid and that I was kind enough to write promptly even when I was waiting for issues to be solved.) But when they mess up, and you need their help- they block your phone. I leased it in June this year, it took several attempts for them to deliver my check from the sale of my previous car to them. They had evaded my calls, claimed to have mailed the check (3 times! Sure it’s possible to lose it once, but 3 times?!!) and given me all other excuses and lies possible. So that was first issue that caused me lots of stress and loss of time. Now 3 months later @Electrify America is charging me for charging my car (I am supposed to have 2 years free charging) because the dealership had given them an incorrect vin. The dealership must be the one to be given a new enrollment code to connect to my actual vin so I can charge my car for free. And guess what- the dealership is not responding to calls or emails just like last time. In fact, the dealer who leased the car to me has me blocked! His name is Anthony Castro and his manager, Faris Awaineh, is not helping me as of yet either. I have shown nothing but patience while expecting the most basic customer service. All it takes is a few min of attention on their end to address my current issue, which is only their mistake to begin with! They just need to request a new enrollment code and I’d be set! Yet they choose unprofessionalism. My patience and silence has been beyond exasperated and it ends now. More
DO NOT BE MISLEAD AND BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER! !! Do not buy a car from this Dealer. Their ad says buy at sticker pricing. I am included in the group of buyers who have suffered through their immen !! Do not buy a car from this Dealer. Their ad says buy at sticker pricing. I am included in the group of buyers who have suffered through their immense pressure to add additional fees to the advertised price. They will simply refuse to sell at the price quoted in an ad. Avoid especially Mo Abdul who refuses to sell at listed pricing. His technique is to replace one added fee you refuse with another. They have a large list of ways to add fees and will just change the ones you refuse with a different one saying their losing money if you don't accept.Bad, bad, bad scamming operation. More
There is a reason that their BBB profile has a grade of "D-". Scam artists abound here. i spent two days negotiating a contract with this dealer and was told that lease end warranty would be included. "D-". Scam artists abound here. i spent two days negotiating a contract with this dealer and was told that lease end warranty would be included. After reviewing the contract and noticing nothing was mentioned about it, the sales rep, Eman, said to "take his word," and that the warranty was "registered to the vin." I called Hyundai Finance and the lease end protection team who all verified that the contract should mention the warranty and that there should be an additional addendum. The corporate contacts laughed at the mere idea that the contract would not mention the lease-end warranty, and even after a three way phone call in which the sales rep, Eman, was blatantly rude on the phone, the dealer still would not accept the facts and change their tune. They continued to insist it was included even though the contract made no such mention. After pointing this out to the less that stellar sales rep, Eman, he basically told me to go pound sand and said "good riddance." His level of service was absolute hot garbage. This is the first time I have ever had a dealer act like they are doing me a favor by selling me lies and false advertising, absolutely wild conduct. I ended up going to a different dealer, we got the car, and sure enough the lease-end warranty was listed on the contract and in an additional addendum, just like every other Hyundai contact said it would be. CHECK YOUR CONTRACTS FOR EVERYTHING IF YOU BUY FROM THIS DEALER. IF ONE LINE ITEM LOOKS WRONG, DONT WALK, RUN AWAY! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM EMAN AND THE HUNTINGTON BEACH HYUNDAI TEAM. More
There is a terrible sales manager IMAN,who is very rudely dissuaded me from buying a car that I definitely wanted to buy. when I asked to remove added options and adjust the sales price he was like you must dissuaded me from buying a car that I definitely wanted to buy. when I asked to remove added options and adjust the sales price he was like you must buy one of them from me! And if you buy the car or not I don’t care! I’m the sales manager and that’s it!..I was wondering is there any benefits for owner to have such a rude and pretentious manager!? I did not lose because I have a great credit and I will buy from another dealer, but what profit do you have for that company? You expect more from big dealership! I never suggest this dealership! If I could give this dealership a score lower than one star I would have. The entire experience was horrible. This is a dealership that helps perpetuate the image of car salespeople and car dealerships as star I would have. The entire experience was horrible. This is a dealership that helps perpetuate the image of car salespeople and car dealerships as corrupt places of business. They advertised a vehicle with a fake price and refused to honor the advertised price no matter what we offered. This "fake leader" was also advertised at their sister store in Garden Grove, but the vehicle was in Huntington Beach, pretty deceptive. It became obvious as soon as we sat down after the test drive that they were not being honest with us and the sales person was incredibly aggressive and treated us like we were stupid. I think it's important to note that I am VERY familiar with the car business as my father worked in the industry his entire life working his way up to become a General Manager of six different dealerships before he retired, and my brother has also worked his entire life in the industry and is currently a General Manager of a dealership. I let the sales person know this up front hoping he would not treat us in the disrespectful manner that he did, but he did not seem to understand this dynamic. In the end my advice to anyone considering buying a car from this dealership, JUST DON'T DO IT! There are reputable dealership that you should buy from, not Huntington Beach Hyundai. More
