HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT . . I brought my Ford explorer TO HUNTINGTON BEACH FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT for diagnostic and repair . I Immediately knew I was in trouble when I was gr . I brought my Ford explorer TO HUNTINGTON BEACH FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT for diagnostic and repair . I Immediately knew I was in trouble when I was greeted with “Hi Brother” , I introduced my self as Eric and preceded to explain the reason for bringing in my car. I explained that the car was pulling and that I was hearing a ticking sound that both appeared to be coming from the right front tire area.. Also there was a whistling noise which seem to be coming from the engine area. The guy helping was very dismissive and inattentive typing on his computer and even walked away leaving me standing at the counter twice for several minutes. I told him the vehicle had a couple of recalls but that was not my concern, and my focus was the things previously mentioned. Left the car with them, while walking to my car told my wife “ they are not going to look at that car, In my experience anytime a person greets me with Hello brother the only thing they see is my skin color, not a customer.” The next day I get a call saying “Hello brother, my technician looked at your car and said everything looks good. You can pick it up when you’re ready.” I went picked up the car and immediately made an appointment with Cerritos Ford service. When I went to Cerritos service I told them what was going on with the car. (Exactly what I told Huntington Beach Ford) The very next day I get a call from Cerritos Ford “ you need your bearing replaced also the struts that’s why it was probably pulling and where the ticking noise was coming from.. Also you have a major oil leak as well as a broken motor mount there’s the whistling noise..” I looked at my wife standing there shaking her head with a look a disbelief. It’s unbelievable (not really), that in 2023 I still have to be cognizant of the area in which I conduct business due to the color of my skin. This could of led to my car trouble’s becoming much worse had I simply believed what I was being told. I normally wouldn’t write a review or even bother thinking about what took place, but for some reason I couldn’t let it go.. Huntington Beach Ford Service Department Be Better Please!! More

Its now Tuesday and I have continued to call and no one picks up morning and called over 20 times and couldn't get a hold of the service department. Waiting two weeks for the return of my vehicle which was supposed to only take a day. Calls to my service advisor never get returned and no one bothers or cares to give me updates. Never doing business wit supposed to only take a day. Calls to my service advisor never get returned and no one bothers or cares to give me updates. Never doing business with this dealer ever again; twenty year relationship with them don't mean a thing to these folks. More
No Customer Service at FORD SERVICE Ended up going FORD's 3rd party bodyshop, cause they wre cheaper and actually valued providing the best service... 1st: Google had the wrong number l Ended up going FORD's 3rd party bodyshop, cause they wre cheaper and actually valued providing the best service... 1st: Google had the wrong number listed, when I tried to inform the person answering the phone that google listed the wrong number for FORD SERVICE HB, she argued with me saying "IDK where you got that number our number is blah blah blah.." To which I said: "No, I'm informing you, The number Google has for you is wrong, as a business I'd image you'd want search engines to have your contact info correct" to which she said "oh well I wouldn't know about that." I know what PART HAS FALLEN OFF MY FORD, its the handle to the trunk.. the service lady was like "you have to come in on Saturday at 8:30am so we can figure out what part is needed, then see if its in stock order it if its not, get it painted, THEN we can install it" I said, "I'm sure you don't have if and if you do, it will have to be painted, can't I order it now, you paint it and then I show up for install?" She said "I don't know what Parts has on stock it would have to go to them" I asked to transfer to parts... The parts guy was the most helpful of the FORD staff, but still helped as much as an umbrella can stop a tsunami.. He had the part, explained that it will have to go to the 3rd Party Paint shop, and based on their work load they don't know when it will be done. I asked if I can authorize that to be done over the phone because getting the car their during their work hours is difficult for my family sharing a car, getting out of work at 5:30 and having to pick up a kid at school on the way to FORD would be impossible. The Parts guy said "that's a call for the service department to make, but I'd feel bad transferring you, you could get lost" ... Lost? taking my chances I suggested he transfer and he was right, I got Paul in service who was very steadfast that I had to be there, the car had to be there, they can't authorize any work without the car being there and I had to approve the RO so they could generate the PO to send the part to HB Bodyworks for paint..." I re-explained my time constraints, my goal of wanting to show up on Saturday and have the part already prepared so installation could happen as quickly as possible... rather than their suggestion that my single car family show up and wait all day saturday, potentially till monday for this to be correct. (Btw, I'm calling on Thursday)... I asked if there's anyway for a "special circumstance of customer service type request that I authorize this work to be done over the phone, I can give you my CC number to hold or charge" .. to which Paul said "you want be to go against policy to order a part based and get RO and PO based on a phone call, you're asking me to break our policy" I said "yes I'm asking for customer service from the service department cause my family and I can't get there before 6 during the week day, and don't have all day on Saturday for you to send this part off to be painted... Its a simple part 2feet by 4inches of plastic, I will pre-pay over the phone.. Can we solve this problem in any way, and I'm willing to pay extra for this service if need be?" Paul said "no you and that car have to be here before we do anything"... ... called HB Bodyworks, the 3rd party body shop HB FORD Service uses, they said they'd order the part from ford, FOR ME, paint it, call me when its ready and I can show up for its install... cheaper than FORD Service, and exactly what I wanted ... Everything pre-done over the phone so that on Saturday I can just show up for the install... Customer Service, found not at FORD. More

They aren't interested in Customer Service! I called Huntington Beach Ford Service last Monday and asked for an appointment on the following Saturday. I was told by the woman on the phone that t I called Huntington Beach Ford Service last Monday and asked for an appointment on the following Saturday. I was told by the woman on the phone that they only have a partial crew on Saturday's and they close by 2 pm and they were fully booked already. She then proceeded to tell me they could really only do things like oil changes on Saturday's so I would have to bring my SUV in M-F to have service look at it for any bigger issues. So I decided to bring my car in on Thursday morning and I pulled up to the service entrance and sat in the car for 5 mins and no one showed up (I'm new to the dealership wasn't sure what to do). So I went into the Service Center and once again no one greeted me for another 10 minutes (when they really weren't busy). I finally spoke with Gabriel about my Explorer's issue and he told me that I should really go across the way to the Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center. My car has a crazy new banging noise coming from the front suspension so I didn't see how the Quick Lane could help me with my suspension. He then ended up changing his mind and deciding that they probably couldn't help me at the Quick Lane, so he tells me that he couldn't help me either but that maybe Tim (I think that's his name) could. So I sat in front of Tim for 5 minutes (he had no one with him) but he purposely looks down as if not acknowledging me is going to somehow make me disappear. Finally, Gabriel comes back and says they'll look at the problem and get back to me later. I asked if they do loaners/rentals so I can get to work in LA and he said not for diagnostics, only for repairs. So I decided I would leave my SUV and go to work a couple of hours late. (I was surprised that they don't have mechanics on Saturday's who could look at my suspension... it's crazy to me that they don't value customers who work M-F and can't take time off work to get their car serviced). Anyway, I left my SUV at 8 am and heard nothing from them for 5 hours. I finally called and asked for an ETA and they tell me that they just barely finished an oil change and a tire rotation and they were just barely going to look at my suspension 5 hours later nonetheless, so far this has been a 5-hour oil change. I then get a call 20 minutes later that they drove my car through their service area trying to recreate the noise and couldn't find anything wrong so I could come to pick up my Explorer. I have had at least 10 people in my car telling me that the noise is not normal, and something is wrong. I've had the SUV almost a year and for 11 months it never made that noise and suddenly it's making the noise and they tell me they heard a little noise but that it is totally normal. I've owned Nissan's, Hyundai's, Toyota's, and Honda's all from dealers on Beach Blvd. and this by far is the worse Service Dept. Every one of the competitors greet you when you pull up, they communicate with you throughout the day on the work progress, all of them offer loaners or rental cars (that they pay for), and they even drop cold water in your cup holder when you pick up your freshly washed car. Let's just say there was none of that at HB Ford. I don't really need to be pampered, but I don't like being ignored. Even if you just tell me you'll be right with me, or you need a minute. I finally got to work 6 1/2 hours late and ended up working until 10 pm to make up for a lost day at Huntington Beach Ford with no resolution, and BTW pulling out of the service dept my wife heard the loud bang under the suspension again. Their solution is to have me take another day off of work and drive their mechanic with me to try and re-create the sound, but do it before 36,000 miles or they won't cover it. I don't see how you can run a SERVICE dept when you've forgotten that it is SERVICE you are supposed to be providing. It's about the people in Customer SERVICE, not the vehicle. A 5-hour oil change and a 20 min drive in your service area, when I came for a suspension issue? I think you had it reversed, it should have been a 5 hour diagnostic and a 20-minute oil change. Obviously, nothing was found because it really wasn't thoroughly looked at. HB Ford is the closest dealership to my home, but I may need to try out Robins Ford in Costa Mesa and see if they're any better. More
