My wife and I tracked a new vehicle that was in transit, not on the lot yet, to be delivered to this dealer on an undisclosed date. We had already test drove the model but were very interested in this part not on the lot yet, to be delivered to this dealer on an undisclosed date. We had already test drove the model but were very interested in this particular color that was to be delivered. We negotiated what we felt was a good deal but walked away since the car was not on the lot and we wanted to shop some more. After shopping the market I called back to let them know that we would like to buy the car at the negotiated price when the car arrived on the lot. The sales person agreed and said he would let me know when it was delivered. The car arrived the next day and the sales person called to let me know that it was on the lot and asked when I would be by to purchase it. I let him know that since the car was still to be inspected (2 hours) and I needed to be at work later that day that I would have come by first thing the next day, in the morning(9am)to buy it. The next correspondence I recieved was that the car was sold out from underneath us, by a senior sales person, with no warning or chance to secure the car with a deposit, which we could have done by phone. I guess this isn't the most shocking story, but I feel it is important to point out the lack of integrity of the people we had the misfortune of dealing with at this dealership. We felt like we were doing our due diligence and that we had communicated effectively with the people involved. But I guess it wasn't good enough. More

First time ever purchasing a vehicle from a car dealer. I must say I was very nervous and skeptical about it but Jeff made me feel at ease, he was very knowledgeable about my car and most importantly persona must say I was very nervous and skeptical about it but Jeff made me feel at ease, he was very knowledgeable about my car and most importantly personable! We bought 2009 Forester, we spent 6 hours in dealership, just as we were leaving we were informed it only had one key and fob besides the valet key. Once home we realized only the person with the fob could just as we were leaving we were informed it only had one key and fob besides the valet key. Once home we realized only the person with the fob could get in the car without the alarm going off. I contacted Tom and voiced my displeasure, he assured me I would get another key and fob. Alan set an appointment for 1-16-12. We drove the 1-1/2 hours to Hunter and sat in the waiting area hour and 10 minutes before Matt informed my wife and I they had no key in stock to program! He promised me I would be compensated for my time and trouble! They made an appointment to get my key done at a dealer closer to me, few days later Matt called to say they dealer could not program a key, he would send a driver to get my car and drive it to Hunter to have the work done. I reminded him he had said he would compensate me and how much I was spending in vacation day ($268)taken to drive up on 1-16-12 and mileage ($185 at IRS mileage rates)being added to my car. I suggested floor mats and roof bars as some form of compensation I would be willing to settle for. Matt said he could give me mats and return car full of gas. When the car came back, no mats and empty gas tank. I emailed Matt to ask what happended, he said they would ship me the mats and a check for $50 for gas. I contacted Matt once more to tell him Hunter had not come near compensating me for what it had cost me so far just to get a key and fob. This is when Randy McFalls stepped in said I must leave good feedback on this site then I could drive back to Hunter and he would have bars installed on my car. I reminded him I had told Chris I would leave feedback when ALL was said and done. Hunter staff had promised many things but had failed to deliver unless I forced the issue. I preferred to leave feedback at the END of my dealings with Hunter. His reply to this was to send me a release full of legal jargon releasing Hunter of all responsibility forever and professing my total satisfaction with Hunter; then I'll supposedly get the bars shipped to me. That was Friday 2-10-12. Yesterday, they had Alan call to feel me out and smooth everything over regarding the release. I'll never get true compensation from Hunter but I won't be coerced into signing a release stating I am satisfied when in fact I am not satisfied with being treated this way. Who would be?? Tom Hunter emailed me back quoting some inflated retail prices for all I was asking but after I furnished him actual dealer prices from other dealers and agreed to sign a revised release without the "total satisfaction" statement he agreed we could settle at this point with me receiving floor mats and roof cross bars for compensation. When I was car shopping, I stopped at several dealers both in person & online. It was amazing the number of dealers I never heard from again. I went into Hunter and was pleasantly surprised. They treated me like I was the only person important and they were actually very busy. I also was impressed with how clean the bathrooms were, the lounge where you wait for service & the main showroom. They were not pushy in anyway, they wanted to be sure I was happy with my purchase and also went out of their way to be sure I understood everything about my vehicle. I even stopped back after I bought the vehicle as I had a couple of questions and was treated exactly the same way as I was before I bought the vehicle. That is how Customer Service is supposed to be but unfortunately you don't see this kind of service very often anymore. I would send anyone to them. More

Oh and by the way I thought those Hyundai’s was crap until I drove this one. I am very confident that we have made the right decision in our new SUV. An atypical car salesman..not pushy, informative and let the car and Subaru's reputation to sell itself, while there to thoroughly answer any questions one might have. Have dealt with Steven Fletcher and Matt Hughes a few times and the ongoing customer service is excellent in EVERY WAY. All employees who have come in contact with me and my vehicle are the best. Apparently Hunter has very high standards for its staff and customer service. Why I am writing this is though I often pay compliments directly to Hunter employees, tell ALL my friends and acquaintances how much I love my car and Hunter, I want to share with everyone else how pleased I am and what an extraordinary dealership this truly is.
