Would not recommend this service department to anyone! We're from Wisconsin, spend time in the LOZ area quite often. Have had oil changes done here with no problem, but Service Engine Soon light came on in our truck, took it in, they diagnosed 2 issues, made us pre pay for 1 part, said they had the other on hand. We had to wait another week to get our truck in (were scheduled to go back home, but had to extend a week because of this), took truck in, and when we paid, it was WAY less than they quoted & only the part we pre paid for was put in, so we knew something was wrong. Spoke to Nathan and asked about the 2nd diagnosis which they said they had the part for, he claimed there was a "miscommunication" about that and that part had been sold, and supposedly everything was ok with truck (huh?) So we got about 10 miles down the road and light came on AGAIN. Immediately called Nathan, he said bring back in the morning which we did, left it there, and when WE called to ask about the status were told it was a different reading on the diagnostics and they could order the part which was $200 more than the original issue they said it was, and it would be in "next week". Needless to say, we told them to stick it where the sun don't shine. NEVER, NEVER will we take our vehicle back to Hulett. All info should have been in their computer since we got a print out every time, so absolutely no excuse to mess this up. Hopefully we make it home safely. More
Hulett Buick did an outstanding job for us today 10/26/22. We had the front drive shaft on our 2018 Buick TourX drop loose. Towed the vehicle to Hulett and talked to Matt (service Rep) they were bus 10/26/22. We had the front drive shaft on our 2018 Buick TourX drop loose. Towed the vehicle to Hulett and talked to Matt (service Rep) they were busy but fit us in Nick (Service Mgr) got us a courtesy ride with Rick back to our condo (12 miles away) by 2:30pm they called and said they had it ready to go. Came and picked us back up. Rick was great to visit with as we drove back to dealership. Nick then explained that the previous dealership had not locked the front driveshaft in place. They fixed it and said “No Charge”! They could have made up a line of BS and charged us $100 for diagnostics, but he was so happy to help us! I found Jon to be friendly and the dealership to be fair and reasonable in making a deal. In all the process was about a stress free as could possibly be. I would absolutely look at Hulett when I am in the market for a new or used car again. More
Unethical behaviour I responded to an ad on the Cars For Sale site for an 1981 Jeep CJ5 offered for sale by Hulett Motors in Camdenton Missouri. I had numerous emails and I responded to an ad on the Cars For Sale site for an 1981 Jeep CJ5 offered for sale by Hulett Motors in Camdenton Missouri. I had numerous emails and telephone conversations with the sales consultant Jon Liou concerning the condition and driveability of this vehicle. The Jeep being sold had no rust on the frame, no problems mechanically and to quote one email “ this is not a project jeep”. It was the fact that the vehicle was being sold by a GM dealership that prided itself on its 50 year history of sales and service that convinced me to go ahead with the purchase. The price agreed to was good based on the information I had believed to be accurate. I also have a copy of the Missouri Motor Vehicle Inspection Approval Notice issued by Hulett Motors as an inspection station stating no defects. When I finally got the vehicle in my possession and to my mechanic for a safety inspection is when its true state became apparent. The brakes needed a considerable amount of work to meet the minimum inspection guidelines. The most devastating part was the amount of rust on the jeeps frame. An inspection by a body shop to patch the problem areas came back as a total frame failure. I sent Jason Hulett ( dealership owner) this information and was told that the price it was sold at made it VERY competitive in the market. He would not answer for the fact that his dealership had lied about the vehicle condition to make a sale and issued a passed inspection notice. I am now having to have the frame replaced at a cost equal to the selling price of the jeep, or sell the vehicle “as is” which it should have been advertised as initially. Do not trust this dealership to stand behind its sales and be wary of any certification generated in house. More
