You had me at "All the windows go up and down"! Chito was great. He had good follow up on the busy Memorial day weekend. I was in the market for a good used vehicle. I've been a loyal fan of DiFeo Ford, which changed ownership two years ago. The younger sales people were over eager and the older dealers couldn't be bothered with me if I did not fall for their tactics. They snubbed Jersey City. The Ford dealership left a bad taste and I'm not going back. I finally gravitated to Subaru after having a positive experience looking through their used car stock. And after going home and looking at poor reviews of the Dodge Journey, I wanted a Forrester. I decided it was time to buy a new car for the first time and get everything I wanted. Chito called the following morning and I came in late morning. The dealership did not have exactly what I wanted and I ended up buying a more expensive car with extras I did not want. However, after listening to my wants, Chito drove me to the cars in stock that almost met my needs, but I was pretty set on getting everything I wanted. So I decided to pay more. Chito appears to have a very strong following and people are really happy with him. However, I went in knowing exactly what I wanted. I found everyone in the dealership very friendly and I really appreciated that since the place was crowded and all in all I was there for 4 hours. I decided to take advantage of the 48 month 0% financing, so I had to wait to go over the financials. The guy at the end going over the loan; details of ownership; and extended warranty came on very very strong, This is his job of course. He did it very, very well. I did not end up taking an extended warranty, but really appreciated his strong, yet kind and positive salesmanship. He's very good. Everyone in the place was extremely friendly and pleasant. This really makes a huge difference. After the sales pitch, I met with Chito again and he had the vehicle completely vacuumed and washed. I run my vehicles into the ground and my minivan was 14 years old. So really Subaru had me excited when I saw all the windows going up and down, not just the left side! The bar was so low. After a week of driving my new vehicles... all those extras I did not want and really did not want to pay for, but I wanted a car right there on the spot and was not willing to wait.... I love them. They are great. Knowing I will be owning the vehicle for 15+ years, I truly appreciate the extras. With two teenagers on the verge of driving and another one close behind, I'm really going to feel much better knowing there are the additional safety features. I did price out all of the extras online to see how much they would cost if sold and installed privately. Much more expensive. I highly recommend getting the car with the extras installed at the dealership because it ends up being the same in the end with a lot less time and effort. Another caveat is that when you bring in your car to the dealer to be serviced, they give you a loaner. I'm used to dealers holding my car hostage and having to rent for a day or two. I was promised that this would not happen at Hudson Subaru. Don't tell my amazing mechanic, but I am considering taking advantage of this service. Thank you everyone at Hudson Subaru.
