I'm the type of buyer that searches the internet listings exhaustively to compare and really educate myself, for the best value vehicle. Well after spending many days searching different listings for the par exhaustively to compare and really educate myself, for the best value vehicle. Well after spending many days searching different listings for the particular model trim level and year I was looking for, I only came up with a handful of vehicles that met that description throughout the entire New England and tri-state region. I was looking for a Subaru Forester dealer loaner car from the past model year with a certain trim level and a certain color. Unfortunately I got to the point where I had so much information in front of me that I was actually having decision paralysis, because there was no clear stand out winner out of even the few listings I did find. I was of course looking for the best value including price, mileage and distance away from me, and of course the exact model trim level. Finally towards the end of my search I came upon Hudson Subaru, which had a vehicle listing that was significantly cheaper than comparables or actually even lower trim levels. So Hudson Subaru had a real standout price and listing. It was a 6-hour drive away from where I live out of state, so I called more local Subaru dealerships asking if they could price match or do similar, and they all but laughed at me and told me to call them back when I still needed a car after striking out at Hudson Subaru, believing that the deal was too good to be true. Well, the car is real and the paperwork is signed, and I'm looking forward to this excellent vehicle and it was well worth the extra effort to come down here to Hudson Subaru. While the dealer fees are relatively higher than other dealerships in the Northeast region, I looked at the selling price plus the fees as a package price and then when viewed that way it was still by far the best value in the order of 1500 cheaper than comparables. So overall very happy with the experience. More
