I drove out to Hubler Chevrolet of Shelbyville from Indianapolis to see a particular vehicle in their inventory, to browse other vehicles, and hoping to learn about the process of buying a new or used Indianapolis to see a particular vehicle in their inventory, to browse other vehicles, and hoping to learn about the process of buying a new or used vehicle from a dealership as well as the gain some understanding of the financial side of it. My first time considering buying from a dealer. It was a horrible decision and a waste of my gas. I liked the Chevy Silverado that I originally discovered online, but I felt insulted by the sales associate, Jason Honeycutt, that assisted me. The associate I was instructed to ask for by the online appointment service wasn’t even working. He tried to just push me to just take the truck home and come back to make a decision tomorrow after I mentioned something about wanting my wife to be with me whenever I do make a decision. Took it for a test drive, didn’t learn much from Jason other than, “yea it’s a nice truck.” - his response several times. As I began to “try” to ask questions to learn about buying from a dealer, cost vs payment, etc.. I was bombarded with questions about leasing, buying a 2013, and everything other than helpful answers. I even explained that as a first time buyer, I would like to learn before I am going to do anything. Towards the end, Jason made it to his desk to take care of putting stamps on a pile of envelopes that were as important as trying to make a sale. He didn’t offer me a seat, information, or even give me the time of day through making eye contact. He instead asked me how much do I want to pay a month for a vehicle, which I just threw out based on what I have paid before on my first vehicle without any idea of the standard payment/cost of more expensive vehicles. He responded with a smart-elic tone of voice and belittling response giving me a scenario and once again telling me to consider leasing without helping me understand what it even means to lease! I had enough after that and decided I’d rather choke than give him my business. I wouldn’t recommend the dealership, especially the salesman mentioned, to any buyer. If you are new to the new car market, please go elsewhere. Save your time, save your gas, save yourself the disappointment. Since then, I have been to a few other dealerships and have had people invest hours into helping me actually understand everything I’ve asked about and show me the best options for a young, newly married man who has just started his career and looking to start conservatively. As soon as we drove up, Josh met us at out car; we informed him we were shopping around. We test drove an Equinox and then sat down with Josh to discuss the price and the value of our trade in. We didn't want to haggle and asked for the best offer available. Randy came over and gave us a price and a trade in value. The next two days we visited numerous Chevy and Honda dealers in eastern Indiana and Cincinnati, test driving and checking out the Equinox and CRV. We never informed any other dealer of Hubler's offer, and not a single one came close to the deal Randy offered. We returned to Hubler in Shelbyville in pouring rain and Josh met us at our car with two umbrellas. An hour later we were driving home in a brand new Equinox LT. This was by far the best experience I've ever had with any dealership in the past 30 years. A note to all small SUV shoppers; this Equinox is far superior in comfort, style, looks and options compared to the CRV. More

When my Husband and I pulled in the dealership we were greeted by Mark a very friendly and not pushy salesman. They had a nice older used truck which is what we were looking for. When I went in to purchase the truck everybody there was so nice I just could not believe it. Shelbyville is lucky to have a wonderful dealship like this one in town.
