Usually my husband does service chores for our cars, but my new one is a horse of a different color. I drive a 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra (pun intended.) It was time for an oil change, and I was reluctant to visit the local Ford dealership because of a lifetime of bad experience. It is with great pleasure that I share what happened when I ventured into Red Wing Ford. I asked for an appointment for an oil change, brake system flush, and over all inspection. I was given an appointment time at my convenience, and quoted a price that seemed very reasonable. When the day came, I arrived on time, my car was taken in almost immediately, and the work began. Ninety minutes later, I was presented with my car keys, the bill, and a hand shake. The bill was exactly as estimated, the work was completed in a timely fashion, and all the employees were most pleasant. I plan to have my service work done at Red Wing Ford and will recommend this dealership to anyone who asks. My mind has been changed about auto dealerships. Thank you to all of the employees who helped make this so. You are all most professional and personable. More

Just bad I needed to have a simple light issue fixed in my 2.5 yr old Dodge. Trip 1 - it was just a light above the lic. plate...they don't have the part, the I needed to have a simple light issue fixed in my 2.5 yr old Dodge. Trip 1 - it was just a light above the lic. plate...they don't have the part, they'll order it and call me. Trip 2 - going in so they can put the light in that was ordered. Was supposed to be a 5 min. deal fix at no charge to me after paying for the light itself. After 20 min. I was told that it would have to go to the back because it was not going to be as easy as they thought. I said I'll have to come back, I had not planned on being at the dealership that long. They took the vehicle to the back anyway and an hour and a half and a $100 later we were free to go. Trip 3 - about a week and a half later I had to take it back because the same light was going out again. They said the problem was bigger than they thought and they'd order the next level of parts to make the repair and call me when the part was in...which I was told would be the next week. Almost 2 weeks later I called because I hadn't heard a thing, the service dept. told me that the part had been there, they just forgot to call. Trip 4 - the next day after I called them, I was able to get in and they gave me a loner veh. to use in town while they fixed this issue. About an hour and a half in, they called me and said that they still didn't have the right part and that I could come and get my car and I'd have to come back yet again. They said that the correct part would be in on Tuesday of the next week. I waited that whole next week, never hearing a thing. Over the weekend the lights on the back of my veh. had stopped working altogether. Monday I called them again wondering if the part had showed up and why I hadn't heard anything. THEY NEVER EVEN ORDERED THE PART! I was told they forgot to order the part. I take my veh. up to the dealership on Monday, get a loner due to my lights not working. They tell me the part will be in on Thursday, and it'll be done on Friday. We make plans for me to come and get my car back on Friday (which is good because my office was closed this Friday and it wouldn't conflict with work) and the issue would be fixed. Wednesday morning they call me and tell me the car is done. What?? the part isn't even coming in until tomorrow...my day was planned and I couldn't go get my car so I had to take leave work again Thursday to go get my car. Happy ending though...I picked up my car and drove right to Zumbrota Ford and traded it in and bought a brand new 2018 Explorer! Back to excellent customer service!! Headache OVER! More
