Everyone... Do Not buy a vehicle from Red Wing Ford Chrysler I bought a 2019 jeep compass with 0 miles on December 5, 2018 after only 203 miles check engine light comes on. Took jeep to dealership to have it lo I bought a 2019 jeep compass with 0 miles on December 5, 2018 after only 203 miles check engine light comes on. Took jeep to dealership to have it looked at PCM was blown and had to be replaced. Then onDecember 19 check engine light came on again. Took back in. Pcm blown again. was told we got this,it’s fixed for sure guaranteed!!!... Tim C... well so much for his guarantee check engine light came back on so took back in and again Pcmblown. This time was told a loose screw was the problem and was fixed till Monday, February 11. I was stranded!!! jeep would not start I was only a block or two away from dealership so called in a panic and actually had to convince him to come and help me !!he got it started but didn’t know how.I said I would bring it in to be looked at again and thank goodness I made it home. well my appointment was yesterday February 13 and five hours later was told they can’t fix it because part does not exist. I looked at him in shock. I said so what you are telling me is you can’t fix my jeep and won’t give me a vehicle to use till you can fix it and that it is OK that I get stranded at any time .his reply was pretty much yes is what he said. and to back up my story a bit. third time PCM went out I said I wanted a new Jeep and their reply was oh we can’t do that didn’t even want to help with a lemon law claim.my son called a dealer and got the number for me.so the reason for this review Is to keep this from happening to someone else. it has been very stressful and a lot of tears so please share this review and please go somewhere else to buy your new vehicle a new vehicle is supposed to be firm and mine is not. Bad Fuel Pump My F150 stopped running unexpectantly on a very cold day. It would turn over and fire, but wouldn’t stay running. Thinking it could be water in the ga My F150 stopped running unexpectantly on a very cold day. It would turn over and fire, but wouldn’t stay running. Thinking it could be water in the gas that had frozen I let it sit a few days until the weather warmed. It started and ran for about 20 minutes, then stopped running again. I made an appointment to bring it in for service. It started and ran again for about 20 minutes and the stopped. I had to have it towed the rest of the way to Red Wing Ford. It was diagnosed with a bad fuel pump driver. I was told that while the fuel pump is covered under the power train warranty, the fuel pump driver is not. The fuel pump driver was replaced. The truck started and ran for a little while and then stopped. NOTE: Exactly like it did when it was brought in. I was told the fuel pump needed to be replaced. When I mentioned that it appeared that the fuel pump drive was unnecessarily replaced, I was told the it indeed bad and the the bad fuel pump driver ‘took out’ the fuel pump.?. To me, that makes little sense. The truck performed identically with the new driver as it did with the old driver. So, if the old driver took out the fuel pump, I should expect the new driver to take out the new fuel pump? Next, I was told that it would take a few days to get the part, ’because Ford won’t pay for next day delivery on warranty parts’. In the end, my truck was in for 4 days and it cost me $367 to replace a part that likely didn’t need to be replaced. More
