Horne uses shady sales / financing tactics. We came in preapproved with our own lender for 2.49% for 72 months. Salesperson said because they were a dealer, they get incentives not available to the general public. We agreed to let them try. (pull of our credit score....strike against us) They came back with a 3.49% apr (approx) and said that because the rate was higher, they would just discount the MSRP the difference of the two rates (3.49 - 2.49) and that would make up for the difference. They assumed we didn't understand amortization. That would have cost us over $1500 more over the term of the loan. We said no but they pushed and pushed. Finally, when we thought we were past that and back to our preapproved financing, we went in with the financing department to finalize paperwork and AGAIN were met with an attempt to try ANOTHER bank (OneAZ) which we did not want, especially after the first failed attempt with Chase. They also had a worse rate (another pull of our credit score....strike against us) and the finance person pushed. THEN, the sales manager (who works in the "tower") comes in and tries the same tactic of discounting the MSRP by $612. This is VERY PREDATORY to the consumer. We declined, finished the sales purchase agreement, and ended up leaving empty handed (couldn't take delivery because our pbank was now closed....Horne's fault due to 2 hour delay for this whole fiasco). Horne even tried to trick us into signing a "backup contract", which is basically a contract. The next day, Horne had one of their employees drive the new car the 40 miles to our home in order for us to finish the whole process with our bank and then take delivery. In today's car sales market, there are PLENTY of dealers who have changed to honest sales methods, rather than PREDATORY sales tactics. I would not send another person to Horne ever! More

Lynn Davis was phenomenal. Didn't try to talk us into anything we didn't want and made it possible to get what we wanted.
