Horrible liars and trashy cars This is the worst place to buy a car! I would not buy a toy car from them. I have had nothing but trouble with this car. Now they have moved from Sali This is the worst place to buy a car! I would not buy a toy car from them. I have had nothing but trouble with this car. Now they have moved from Salisbury and I bought a warranty that means nothing. I should not have to drive to Delaware to see if they will honor it. And no loaner cars. Horrible place!!!! More
Cheated & lied to!!!!!!! AVOID!!!! Bought a car from there with my Husband a little under a year ago and from moment one it was a problem now that in and of itself is to be expected to Bought a car from there with my Husband a little under a year ago and from moment one it was a problem now that in and of itself is to be expected to a certain extent and we did not put much thought into that until we took the car to them with a recurring ignition problem. Had to take days off of work to sit in their waiting room ALL DAY where I could see them doing nothing... Anyway....This problem was ignored and we were sent on our way on at least two occasions. Fast forward to yesterday when my Husband had yet another incident with the car while at work that left him stranded at night in the middle of a horrendous thunder storm with a car that would not start yet again. Call Hopkins the next morning and we are told they cannot even look at it until Monday and of course they will not cover it because the warranty is out. My Husband calls them and reminds them that this problem was reported well before the warranty was exhausted and the service technician said this was a common problem with that model car and had an idea how to fix it which was amazing since before the warranty exhausted they seemed to have no idea yet all of a sudden they know over a telephone how to fix but of course will have to have it towed to them and it will cost a fortune. Hopkins was made aware of this problem on at least 2 separate occasions and had also been notified of it through various phone calls trying to get service on it. Now that the warranty has expired they are all too anxious to help and charge us for what should have been covered under our warranty agreement when we first notified them of them problem. As an aside, we were informed upon buying the car that the key and remote entry pad would be replaced within two weeks of the car's purchase. Here we are almost a year later with no key, no remote entry pad and a technician who both admits it is a culprit in the problem yet decided to call us liars when we pointed out that the finance guy on duty the night we bought the car AND the salesman AND the woman who sat with us to do the paperwork promised us a new key and remote entry pad. Husband straight up asked if this was ignored intentionally until the warranty ran out so they could try to get more money out of us and all I got was "ummhmmm". We have been totally ignored and honestly never treated with such disregard by any auto dealership. We read the terrible reviews here and on Facebook. We saw the complaints with the Better Business Bureau and we even had some people we know in person warn us face to face about doing business with them but we took the risk anyway and now we certainly see what the complaints were about. Today we filed our first ever complaint with the BBB against Hopkins and next week will ne consulting an attorney to see where we can go from here. All we wanted was for the warranty agreement to be honored and for the ignition issue to be resolved and a new key provided yet nothing has happened and we only get a run around. What a terrible experience and we cannot encourage strongly enough for people to go across the street or to any other dealership you can find and give your business to people who seem to give a xxxx. All we wanted is to be treated as a valued customer and have them take care of what was pointed out PRIOR to the warranty agreement expiring and we get treated like trash. It really, really does feel like we were intentionally given a run around so that we would have to pay for an expensive problem that should have been addressed before the car was even sold.
