We bought a used Camry for our 15 year old son for Christmas. We purchased the tire and rim warranty because the lady insisted that it was the best thing they offer. She said it covers everything, and Christmas. We purchased the tire and rim warranty because the lady insisted that it was the best thing they offer. She said it covers everything, and it is totally worth the money. We had the car one month and a knot appeared on the tire. I called the service department and told them we had the warranty and needed to schedule service. They scheduled me for Saturday at 10:40. We live almost two hours away so this was going to take a whole Saturday for us anyway, but when we got there, they said that they don't do tires on Saturday and the warranty company couldn't even be contacted for approval. They also said they would put a different tire on than what we had instead of a matching tire. That is, if they even approve it on Monday. The manager acted like it was no big deal that we came all of this way for a PRESCHEDULED service that would not happen. We got our salesperson involved, and she says she has it handled, but we won't know until sometime Monday, and will have to make another trip there for no reason. This service department is a complete joke. More

Just got notice from 700 Credit that my personal information was involved in a Data Breach at this dealership. Stay away from this dealer if you’re smart.. They gave me 48K for trade and put mine on lot for $53K and sold in a couple days. General Manager said would be very difficult to sell this car but I knew he was not being truthful. I’ve had to change wording 3 times before they would post my review. Shame on them. More
The sales guy we worked with was great. What wasn't great was our experience with the finance department. We were signed up for two warranties when we only agreed to one. When I seen that we were scammed, I called and they were supposed to drop the warranties and refund us within 25 days. After 50 days we still don't have our money and have been forced to call over and over to try to get our money back. It is hard to get anyone to answer and when they do they take our information and just promise a call back. I don't recommend doing business with Hoover Toyota. More
OUR TOYOTA HIGHLANDER 2003 (BIN #JTEGF21A830092166) had been serviced by Service Advisor, Jonathan Dryer, for several years. He had been consistently performing unnecessary maintenance and charging us exce been serviced by Service Advisor, Jonathan Dryer, for several years. He had been consistently performing unnecessary maintenance and charging us excessively. I did not notice it until recently. I became concerned and started looking at the maintenance history for last 2-3 years. Every time I went there he charged me over $1,200. When asked he said those were needed. Changed the Spark Plugs, June 15, 2021, 116,000 miles, COST: $531 Changed the same Spark Plugs Again, April 2025, 126,405 miles. COST $887 Plus TAX, close to $1,000. This was significant cost increase in 4 years. Also it was changed at 10,000 miles interval (spark plug lasts over 70,000 miles). When asked his answer was age (I didn't agree) and check engine sign. When I took the car to another outfit they told me check engine sign was due to oxygen sensor malfunction and nothing to do with spark plug. On 4/27/2024 he charged me $1,396 for maintenance (124210 miles}. A year later, 4/18/2025 he charged me $1,540 for maintenance again (126405 miles). Most services were overpriced. He did Toyota recommended 120,000 miles maintenance at 117,000 miles (earlier) and charged $1,158, in November, 2021. Not sure what he did. Service department was unfriendly and did not provide information. I was recommended to change left brake padding and rotor in the next schedule. However, the test results are conflicting: 04/18/2025: LF: 8 mm, RF: 8 mm LR: 6 mm, RR: 6 mm 10/21/25 LF: 5 mm, RF: 5 mm LR: 8 mm, RR: 8 mm I only drove 1,000 miles in 6 months. The left dropped by 3 mm (significant, not possible) Right one got better (not possible). There are many other issues.. Johanathan's colleague In Hoover Toyota brought overpricing issue to my attention, which initiated my investigation. Manager had been notified. AI reviews are similar. More

Had to replace front axle, already tires too and now the TRANSMISSION! This should not have had to be replaced yet. Feel like I definitely got a lemon! Will not be looking to buy from here again. Not to mention they told me the tires would last at least 3 years. Becareful what you purchase from this dealership. More

Sarah E, the sales consultant was the one bright spot in this buying experience. She did an excellent job having the vehicles ready to test drive when we arrived. The dealership is another story. It uses t this buying experience. She did an excellent job having the vehicles ready to test drive when we arrived. The dealership is another story. It uses the guise of a non-refundable Doc fee of $999 to pad its profits. States that regulate Doc fees allow about $100. You do the math. Then when the sale was over, and we purchased a late model/low mileage vehicle, the sales manager tried to push us out the door with just one key fob. The dealership was too cheap to cut a replacement ahead of time. Their expectation was that we would come back the next day and pay hundreds of dollars to purchase the second key, which typically comes with the vehicle. Needless to say we got the second key, but had to wait while the cut and programmed one. Don’t believe the fluff they put on their web site “you can expect a car buying experience that is fast, transparent, and respectful.” Go in expecting to be taken advantage of and you may walk out with a reasonable deal. I would have given a negative 10 if possible. My husband took my car over for preventive service for my transmission- a “flush”. The next day my transmission was slipping and moving sluggishly. A My husband took my car over for preventive service for my transmission- a “flush”. The next day my transmission was slipping and moving sluggishly. A few days after, while driving in heavy traffic my car stalled while accelerating. It was extremely dangerous, and I prayed to get home safely. I told my husband this was unacceptable and he agreed. We needed to take this car back to Hoover Toyota. We called and took the car back. They kept it overnight and a snippy female called us and said that we needed a new transmission that would cost us about $10000. We had NO trouble with our transmission before going to Hoover. Just drove it to Atlanta and Charlotte 2 weeks prior with flawless driving. Because we are old, I’m imagining the service people there thought they could get extra money from us. We will not be driving this car that is 5 yrs old that I have about 22 months of payments left. I don’t feel safe. When we calm down, we may seek a decent, honest service person to help us, maybe even legally.I have had 3 other Avalons, one I had purchased from Hoover. I will die and come back from xxxx before I would recommend anyone spending money At Hoover Toyota service. More
