Worst service experience ever! I scheduled service, brought my van in on time, Tuesday morning. Thursday afternoon, after hearing nothing from service, I called for status. Servic I scheduled service, brought my van in on time, Tuesday morning. Thursday afternoon, after hearing nothing from service, I called for status. Service manager said no one has had a chance to even look at it yet. I asked then why did I schedule and bring it in? Why not schedule when mechanics are available? Manager said Hoover doesn’t schedule like that - they need your car left for 2-4 days before they can even look at it! Apart from their absurd scheduling, it would have been nice to get a call. I specifically set up scheduled drop off with service manager so my car would be done by holiday weekend. Holiday starts tomorrow, and no one has even looked at it yet. In all my years, I’ve never had a worse service experience. What is the point of scheduling and taking my car if you have no clue when someone will look at the vehicle? More
Avoid this dealership at all costs. The Service Manager David D'Ambrosio and his Service Advisor Marcella Nelson are unprofessional to say the least. The big lesson learned about Hoover The Service Manager David D'Ambrosio and his Service Advisor Marcella Nelson are unprofessional to say the least. The big lesson learned about Hoover is that they disassociate themselves from representing Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep when something goes wrong. If your vehicle was serviced by any other dealer than Hoover they will not back the other dealer's work even though their building sports the logos of Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep on the building. 84 days and counting since I've seen my 2021 Ram. Crystal was an extremely professional service advisor. She was kind and courteous. I would recommend her to anyone who needs their vehicle serviced. She was kind and courteous. I would recommend her to anyone who needs their vehicle serviced. More
The only reason they got one star is that I cannot give 0. One year ago, I took my Dodge Grand Caravan in for work because the driver window would not open. They ended up charging me $3 000 for all kinds o 0. One year ago, I took my Dodge Grand Caravan in for work because the driver window would not open. They ended up charging me $3 000 for all kinds of stuff. Including a new battery even though the current battery was only a few months old. They said it was necessary., but not to worry - it had a 3 year warranty. Well...the battery is so dead the car can not be jumpstarted. So, I brought in the battery. What a scam. They said unless I bring on the car - which cannot be started - they cannot honor the warranty...so they can charge me another $3000 for whatever they think up. This dealership has ALWAYS ripped me off when I have needed recall work, warranty work, or any kind of repair. DO NOT BUY ANY CAR THAT WOULD REQUIRE THEIR SERVICE!! DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! DO NOT USE THEIR MOPAR PARTS - NO ONE ELSE CAN HONOR THE WARRANTY...WHICH OBVIOUSLY IS NO WARRANTY AT ALL!! When I got mad at their ridiculous policy, they all stood and laughed. If they will rip off old lady veterans, they will rip you off. Nothing on the battery or in my paperwork says the van has to be returned for the battery warranty to be honored. More
Great experience with Stanley on the sales side. BUT, beware of the service department. Absolutely horrible. Spent $3500.00 on fixing the engine in my Pacifica. On the way home we called the dealers BUT, beware of the service department. Absolutely horrible. Spent $3500.00 on fixing the engine in my Pacifica. On the way home we called the dealership to report that the car was running actually worse than before we put it in their shop. I made arrangements to have the Pacifica towed back to the dealership as requested by the Service Writer. Low and behold!! After spending $3500.00 initially, now it needs a new $10000.00 motor. Not happening. They were paid to fix the vehicle and apparently they spent a lot of my money, on the wrong problem. Would rate the shop with a 0 if I could. More
One star because it is required. I bought a brand new 2018 Ram 1500 and have only taken here for services and repairs. As far as oil changes, I have no complaints (can't mess that up I bought a brand new 2018 Ram 1500 and have only taken here for services and repairs. As far as oil changes, I have no complaints (can't mess that up too bad). However, I've taken my vehicle back on occasion for various things and have had poor service each time. I have automatic headlamps so they turn bright when there's no vehicles ahead of you and dim when it detects other lights. The auto dim stopped working so I had to turn the function off and took it in to be repaired. They claimed to not be able to find the problem so it was never fixed, after the had the vehicle for days. Recently, I took my truck in for a repair and regular service. The truck was over-revving and would not increase speed pass 45 mph. The department stated that it would take them approximately 4 days with the vehicle, but did not have any loaners or rentals available. After the first day, I was told that the vehicle was having a hard time starting up due to the battery and this would have to be replaced first in order to further diagnose the issue. After paying $565 to replace a battery(!), I was told that the fuel injection system needed to be serviced. In my non-mechanic mind, this was the issue and I agreed to have it done. On top of that, the technician suggested a brake job, some humidity sensor replacement, and fuel flush. I also requested to have the oil changed and tires rotated. 7 days later when my vehicle was ready to be picked up, they had not performed the oil change or tire rotation, so I had to leave the truck for longer that day and it increased my final price. After getting my truck back, it still felt a little funny when I gave it gas, but I figured with the fuel system being worked on, it would take some time to get back to normal. Two weeks later, my check engine light returns and the same over revving is occurring. I called the service department to schedule another service, still no loaners or rentals and the service manager, David D'Ambrosio points out that I had signed my service receipt (totaling over $1600) that stated they "could not reproduce the issue". David asks me to look at "job 1" which happened to be on the last page of the report, while i was required to sign the first page when I picked up the truck. Who has the time to read every paragraph of a repair order, after they've already paid for what they thought repaired their issue? I assure you, NO ONE said this to me at the counter, that the problem had not been fixed. This is the second time that I've taken my Ram truck into a Ram service department, and the "Certified Ram Technicians" can't fix the issue, let alone duplicate it. They only offered to for me to leave my truck with them again.. WHY? So they can sit on it again and charge me for doing nothing?! Then when I picked it up, they did not cover my cream colored carpet floormats and there was huge oil stain from someone's boot. David did have them clean this right away, but the whole experience was expensive and unrewarding. The service here keeps getting worse and worse and I am officially done with this dealership after buying 3 vehicles and servicing 4 over many years. More
made a appointment to have my truck looked at almost 2 weeks before appointment, took off that day so I could drop it off at 7:30 appointment time and get it back that day. so when they were checking me i weeks before appointment, took off that day so I could drop it off at 7:30 appointment time and get it back that day. so when they were checking me in ,the lady said it would be 72 hrs or so before they could possibly look at it !! why a appointment !! but other people their with no appointment and were going to wait on there's and no problem !! how's that ?? I pay for there time when I go there. are they going to pay my time I took off for this appointment or put me in a vehicle for free for 72 hrs ?? no one tells you this when you make a appointment. why even make one ?? sounds like they over book them selves big time. not happy at all with the scheduling department !! wast of my day and time !! worked a double shift Thursday night so I could be off and there at 7:30. guess my time is nothing !! Took my car here on Monday 8/16/2021 for a tire rotation and oil change. Got a flat tire today (nail) and was going to have a friend plug it when I discovered the service folks did not place my bolt lock ki and oil change. Got a flat tire today (nail) and was going to have a friend plug it when I discovered the service folks did not place my bolt lock kit for the rims back in my car. Like why the heck are you all taking things out of customers cars and not putting them back?! Now I have to wait till they open at 8am tomorrow only to probably go back and forth with someone who doesn't to take responsibility for their screw up. And at this point do they even know where my kit is?!!! I used to take my car to the dealership in Orangeburg...did it for 3 years and never had something like this happen. This is only my second visit to this location and if they are gonna do stuff like this, I won't be coming back. I want my bolt kit for my tires back and I want you all to plug my tire on the house as because of you I could not get it done myself which would have been free. Thank goodness I was not stuck on a dark road because at this point I can't even put my spare tire on thanks to these people. More
