If I could give the dealership a negative star review I would. We purchased a car for my daughter. When we test drove the car the check engine light was on. We were told the car just arrived and they had not completed the inspection of the car. We told them that we purchase the car as long as the check engine light was nothing major. We were told that the check engine light was due to the gas cap. Drove the and a week later the check engine light came on again and the car overheated. We had the car towed to our mechanic and called Honey Car. We were told that if our mechanic touched the car they would not repair. Car was then towed to Honey Car, where this time they told us it was that the cooling system has a hole in a hose and that they fixed it. A couple of week later the car completely died and the car was towed back to Honey Car. This time they told us it was a blown head gasket and they would not fix. Had the car towed to our mechanic and asked for all the paper work showing the diagnostic that they had done to determine what was wrong with the car. They never put the car on the machine to check why the check engine light was on, they did an oil change and turned the light off. Our mechanic just called and there is even more wrong with the car, beside the head gasket, when they drained the oil from the car it was filled with metal! The car is not worth fixing and we can only get at the most $300 for scrapping it. So we are out $8000 and my daughter is without a car. Walk away and go to another dealership - don't let this happen to you. This was my daughters first car purchase and she was so excited, but now we know they just took her for a ride. More
I would strongly advise anyone considering HoneyCar in Winchester to steer clear. We purchased a 2019 Chevy Colorado here, and within just a couple of weeks the truck started having major issues. The chec Winchester to steer clear. We purchased a 2019 Chevy Colorado here, and within just a couple of weeks the truck started having major issues. The check engine light came on and began flashing while driving. We brought it back expecting them to take responsibility, especially since the vehicle was still under warranty, but the experience has been a nightmare from start to finish. After dealing with the dealership and then reaching out to HoneyCar’s corporate office, we were basically told they don’t care and won’t help us. That was their attitude toward a paying customer who trusted them. No accountability, no willingness to make things right—just passing the buck. If you’re looking for honesty, reliability, and a dealership that actually stands behind what they sell, HoneyCar Winchester is not the place. Don’t make the same mistake we did—take your business somewhere else. More
Salesman Clay Francisco and HoneyCar-Roanoke exceeded my expectations for a used car dealer exponentially. I bought a 13-year-old Buick SUV for $7,999, with about $800 dealer prep. The technicians, during the prep inspection, discovered a problem with the power steering and determined that it would be HoneyCar's responsibility to repair it before I drove off. This was not a cheap fix done in an hour. It was complex and involved new parts. A less ethical dealer would have simply left the power steering to eventually break. HoneyCar's people were honest and considerate all the way through, and their price for this gem of a vehicle was more than fair. I have purchased used cars in the past from less ethical dealers and I will say flatly that my experience with HoneyCar was far, far superior. This car may have some problems, but they did not show up on the detailed inspection. I can't expect more. A truly fine experience with honest professionals. Good ethics is a choice and HoneyCar has chosen well. More
This for the Roanoke, VA dealership, but I did not have the option to choose them. They're just what you think when you think of a car lot. Liars. Test drove a car, negotiated a price, told them to let me the option to choose them. They're just what you think when you think of a car lot. Liars. Test drove a car, negotiated a price, told them to let me think about it and I would make a decision. Called them the same day and made a counter-offer, they accepted. Told them I had an appointment in 1.5 hrs so I could not do paperwork that day but the next. They said no problem come in give $1,000 down payment and I could come back and do the paperwork. Rushed over there to put 1K down, they sat me down, I told him that I had a per-approval loan through my bank and that's how I would finance the remaining. He took my card came back and said unfortunately there was suddenly a "title" issue and handed me a paper signed by them that said the price, what I was going to put down, and what was owed. Thankfully they did not charge my card because of the "titling issue". They said they would be in touch with me when that was resolved. I spoke with them on and off for a few weeks, still waiting for the title of the car from the owner they bought it from. I told them no worries I was in no hurry an to let me know if the title issue got resolved or if another car of that make and model came to the lot in the meantime. Last week I noticed they put the car back for sale on their website. The latest message I got from them was this standard text right after that was, "Hi, this is Alex with HoneyCar, I wanted to reach out and see if your vehicle interest has changed. What style of vehicle are you looking for, and what all does it need to have." I replied that I saw the vehicle was reposted and that I was not interested in any business with that lot. I am assuming they did not like the price they agreed on or that I would be financing through my bank and not one of theirs. Hope it rots on the lot. More
Went to honey cars on 3/20 and my experience couldn’t have been described as anything less than perfect! I worked with Daniel and he was phenomenal! Very on top of things and professional. About two week have been described as anything less than perfect! I worked with Daniel and he was phenomenal! Very on top of things and professional. About two weeks after my purchase, a light did pop up in my car (it was just a sensor going bad), I got ahold of Daniel and he very quickly got me an appointment with their service team. Highly recommend Honeycars and working with Daniel! Thank you again for a great car buying experience! :) More
HoneyCar Roanoke sold us a used car that's engine blew on the interstate, having to be towed, the same day we bought it. After nearly a month from buying the car, they agreed to reimburse us the cost of the the interstate, having to be towed, the same day we bought it. After nearly a month from buying the car, they agreed to reimburse us the cost of the car less the processing fee. We were sent a check that was missing a signature. I had to use their bank to get it cashed, which charged a fee. The dealership knew this car was for a 15 year old, as we let them be present in the experience. We were assured we were getting a reliable car, that had been looked at by their mechanic. In an email, the owner said, "It's generally recommended to have a mechanic inspect any used vehicle, especially one sold "AS-IS" for under $2,000, as it's likely to have existing issues." This lets me know they knew this car was not safe. The fact they knowingly sold this car says a lot about their character. I did sign an "as-is, " but their website says a 3-day, 300 mile return policy, with no stipulations. I just wanted to share my experience. This dealership lacks professionalism, honesty, and clear communication. More

I don't know who did the finance part of it, but they are also a con artist. We left thinking we got the deal of a lifetime and 2 months later.... they back up NOTHING. If you buy a car from hear, you better read the fine print thrice. I sold cars at one point and couldn't stand the sleazebag attempts to sell a car... I only lasted a month. HoneyCar is no exception and will rip you off the first chance they get. More
