Lied about problem being fixed to avoid warranty fix This is about the Service Center: I'm appalled at both the way I was treated and the apparent dishonesty of the service center. Late last fall the air This is about the Service Center: I'm appalled at both the way I was treated and the apparent dishonesty of the service center. Late last fall the air conditioner in our Honda CRV (2011) started to blow warm air when it was warm outside. I took it to our local, trustworthy mechanic who said it was likely the Air Compressor Unit in the car (known to fail in Hondas) and found that an extended warranty covered us. He advised us to take it to the local Honda Dealer Service Center. At the time, the car had fewer than 100,000 miles on it and was under this extended warranty until May 2018. On his advice, I took the car to the dealer on Dec. 1, 2017 to be assessed. They claimed they could not replicate the problem and charged us for the diagnostic and to replace a small "receptor" (or something) - just as a precaution. They said it worked. We trusted them. In late April 2018, when it finally got warm in New York, I turned on the air-conditioner for the first time, expecting it work. It did not. The AC is still blowing warm air when it is warm outside. Knowing, in good faith, that we had taken the car to the dealer to deal with this very issue and that they'd failed to fix it - I took it back to the dealer. I was told that the warranty has expired (this month - May 2018) and that as the car has more than 100,000 miles on it that they will not honor it (it crossed 100,000 this month as well). Never mind that we took their word that it was fixed. The man I dealt with was rude when I tried to re-explain the issue and how his mechanics told us about it being "dealt with." We never used the AC in all the time between when it was "fixed" (which I now, naturally, do not believe) and when we turned it on at the beginning of this month. I now believe this was a clear attempt to avoid replacing an expensive part on our car while it was under warranty. The guy smirked when I said this. I told him I'd be contacting corporate and he said, "you go ahead and do that". I have, for good measure also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I took the car back to my local, trustworthy mechanic who said AGAIN it is the AC Compressor. It would be $900 to fix it. I would expect Honda to honor - in good faith - the extended warranty on our car and the fact that they failed to fix the problem when we brought it in. More

Service sucks I had an appointment which was useless because they took more than two hours to return my car. However they gave me the keys that belonged to another I had an appointment which was useless because they took more than two hours to return my car. However they gave me the keys that belonged to another car. I had to go back inside to get my car's key. I asked to speak to the manager, but he was a real nasty person. He just explain to me that it was ok that they had mixed up my car with someone' s else. So I go to my car and I see that the service light was still on, which in fact could have been that they did not change the oil in my car. I regret bringing my car to this dealer. I hope someone can teach them some kind of professionalism and respect for their job. I would take my car to have it checked again. Not satisfied at all. Never go back again. BE WARE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. More

2010 Accords have rear brake problems. The pads last 12,000-15,000 miles. I went there with my Accord. They said the I drive to hard. And it's normal that rear brakes go first( front pads stop the car 12,000-15,000 miles. I went there with my Accord. They said the I drive to hard. And it's normal that rear brakes go first( front pads stop the car and go first). They LIED and said my rotors were also bad. they would not pay for the brake pads. My accord had 12,000 miles on it. Sal said its the first he has seen. With brake problems. It's all over the net. I called Honda of America, they covered the pads, I got at local shop. Rotors were fine. SOUTH SHORE HONDA tried to Screw me out of $500. I got it fixed for 125, and Honda of America paid. Then America Honda called south shore Honda ,SAL said I never took my car there. I HAD THE RECEIPT Sal runs the service department. Way to go sal. How do you sleep. You should go work for the IRS. More
bought a 2005 accord new and was pretty painless.with 15,000 miles on it i recieved a recall notice for the fuel pump solenoid.drop it off and service dept calls me and says they found a few problems.1 s 15,000 miles on it i recieved a recall notice for the fuel pump solenoid.drop it off and service dept calls me and says they found a few problems.1 st that i needed new brakes all around and my cabin air filter needed to be replaced.just so i could laugh i asked for a price and was told $ 850 !i asked him does it sound strange to you that i cant drive a new honda for 15,000 miles without dumping $ 850 in maintenance into it . ?told him dont do any work that will be charged for only recall.take the car to family mechanic and look at the brakes myself while on the lift and the pads had about 80% left on them.finally did front pads at 41,000 and rears around 50,000 .cant believe dealers still try to xxxx their customers like this .wont give them a dime of my buisiness and would rather pay a couple of thosand more for a new car to another dealer than to buy a car and support these thieves.dont go near their svc dept .i can imagine what they do to customers who dont know any better .outright dishonest crooks.it was so obvious it was almost laughable to see this guy try and keep a straight face .i couldnt hold back and burst out laughing when he told me .
