My vehicle was brought in for a recall. I brought my Accord in for a recall. Steve was the rep who helped me. He was very kind and helpful, and got me on my way in a timely fashion. Mind Boggling Incompetence I made a $ 300.00 refundable deposit for the dealer to hold a car while I secured my funding check. I was in daily contact with them regarding the day I would come in for the car It was two days later than I had anticipated but I informed them of this. They told me it was not a problem. The dealer called me on the day I had told them I was coming in for the car to ask what time I would be in to finalize the purchase. I said I would be in at about 1 pm. They said "Good, see you then" When I arrived at the dealer, they told me that they did not know where the car was. It was not on the lot. I was told "Maybe it is being cleaned or detailed" After waiting for awhile, a manager came over to tell me that the car had been sold! The most infuriating aspect of this situation was that both the sales staff and manager refused to take any responsibility. It was clear that, at first, they did not even know that the car had been sold. The sales person looked at me and said "it's not on me, it's not on me" The manager shrugged and said "I don't know what to tell you, the car has been sold" No one was able to explain how that had happened or to accept any responsibility. The manager did say that he had been trying to contact me on the previous day. I was unable to take calls since I was at work but I did return the call later and left a message stating when I would be in to finalize the purchase. The manager said that he did not receive the message and nobody knew who might have taken the message! They tried to put the blame for the car being sold on me. I am appalled by the terrible miscommunication that was not my responsibility. This is no way to treat customers. More

Knowledgeable parts department I normally don't go into dealers for parts because of the way I'm treated but sometimes you have to due to aftermarket parts not available. Anthony helped me with a few parts that I'm glad I spoke with him cause I almost got the wrong parts. Will definetly be returning and telling friends. More

Vtc Actuator I did purchase a 2012 honda crv from this dealer on 5/23/2015 with 37755miles on it for 24292.00 dollars.After making four payments out of my sixty I I did purchase a 2012 honda crv from this dealer on 5/23/2015 with 37755miles on it for 24292.00 dollars.After making four payments out of my sixty I signed up for I am having a problem with the engine.Now that the weather has changed my engine is banging when it first starts.I called the service department and told them I needed a loaner car they did not have one available.I waited two weeks and no one called me my motor is still banging.I called and asked please this car is getting worse .I spoke to Glen Rackman the service advisor and he held a loaner for me .I dropped off the crv cold so they could hear the banging noise .Glen called me the next day 10/15/2015 and confirmed the noise its a VTC Actuator that bad hear is the comment from the invoice cannot repair vehicle at this time Honda is working on an updated part to resolve this concern and will advise when part is available I was shocked.That night i go on the web and search VTC Actuator and nothing but owners of crv and accords complaining about this part.I am contacting my local office of the attorney general to file a complaint and the consumer affairs office beware of this engine 2.4liter. I4 if I only new about this problem i would not have bought this car no one at honda of toms river told me about this major engine defectve part shame on them.do your home work and good luck i had none. First Car Buying Experience And Honestly It Was Amazing! I was originally in Honda Of Toms River for something that was going wrong with my 2006 Honda Civic LX. Me and my girlfriend were just going to ask for a quote for my car, So I spoke to the manager about it and he instantly gave me DJ Wilson. DJ was very nice family man that truly loved giving his customers that nice car buying experience and the type of salesman that you want to met when buying a car. I enjoyed the car buying experience because I wasn't being pressured or nudged like I would be at other dealerships. Honda of Toms River is great place to buy a car. He ended up getting me into a 2013 Honda Civic LX, it was a great deal, and I will definitely be back for my 2016 Honda Civic Si! To add also, I am very pleased with the service department at Honda of Toms River. They are helpful and efficient. If you ever need a car repaired or serviced don't be afraid to go there because they are very good. More
