Honda of Toms River - Service Center

Was contacted via telephone and was offered a service package to include the following: Oil/filter change, 5 point inspection, and vehicle wash. I was quoted “$39.99 plus tax.” I accepted and made an app package to include the following: Oil/filter change, 5 point inspection, and vehicle wash. I was quoted “$39.99 plus tax.” I accepted and made an appointment. On the day of the service, I had to wait 1 hour and 50 minutes for it to be finished. After waiting patiently, I was billed for over $47.00. Tax on 39.99 amounted to approximately $3.00. Therefore the total should have been about $43.00. I confronted “Chris” about the price. Chris was dismissive and stated that there were “disposal fees.” I advised that I wished to pay only what I was quoted. Chris became confrontational and expressed his shock that I was making a “big deal” over a few dollars. I advised Chris that he was being unprofessional and informed him that I would never bring my vehicle back for service again. Chris responded by saying, “Good!” Chris then asked me if I was really going to make him “re-print” the agreement over a small sum of money. I once again informed him that the total was not what I had agreed to. Chris attempted to end the situation by offering me $2.00 of the $5.00 in cash. I was annoyed by the lack of respect and complete unprofessionalism displayed and accepted the $2.00 before leaving the service center. Upon arrival at my vehicle, I discovered a scratch on my driver side vehicle which was not there prior to being serviced. Furthermore, the driver seat sun visor had been pulled on roughly causing it to dangle and not stay in place. In conclusion, I’m appalled at the entire incident. Dishonest pricing. Rude and apathetic employees, slow service, and lack of care towards the customers property. I will never use Honda of Toms River again and will advise others to do the same. More
