Sam Chao in the dealership is great,service dept is terrible We have bought 3 Honda's at the dealership with Sam Chao over the years and were very happy. But every time we have to deal with the service depart We have bought 3 Honda's at the dealership with Sam Chao over the years and were very happy. But every time we have to deal with the service department, it is a frustrating experience. They are disorganized and don't seem to know what's going on. This past time I went due to a recall on my CR-V. They could not tell me when they were getting the part to fix my car but I should not being driving the car. Not safe. I had to wait a week for my appt for a rental they were providing. I was told that I would get a car comparable to mine, I said that was good because I needed to fit two car seats in the car. I waited 2 hours for the shuttle pick up, even though I had an appointment for a pick up at 8 am. I called at 8:45, and received an apology and was told that someone would be there by 9. I confirmed with them that I would get a car comparable to mine. They said no problem and they would call Hertz to confirm.. I called again at 9:30 and was told there is no guarantee when someone would pick me up because there are people that need to get home from Honda.. Finally 10, the courtesy shuttle arrived. I had to sign papers at Honda that I wouldn't drive my CR-V due to it being unsafe, and then was driven to Hertz rental car, only to be told they had no cars at all. And that maybe by the end of the day they would, but couldn't guarantee me that I would have room for two car seats. And that was at 12pm. I spent 4 hours dealing with it and was extremely upset with Honda of Tenafly. Seemed like they weren't truthful, and/or they didn't really call Hertz to make sure I had a car waiting for me. More

I am tired of waiting at Honda of Tenafly I took my car in for an oil change. The last time my husband took his car in for a recall, they had told him when he got there that it would take a l I took my car in for an oil change. The last time my husband took his car in for a recall, they had told him when he got there that it would take a long time and that he should take a ride home, which he found really annoying. . When I arrived with a 1:00 appointment, I told my serviceman what had happened and asked if there would be a wait. He said it might take 1 1/2 hours. At 2:47, my car was finally ready. When I went to pay, I was told that the coupon I had for $29.95 was only for old cars and I would have to pay $34.95. I don't need to go to Honda of Tenafly for bad service. I can go to any oil change place and have tit done in 15 minutes. More
