My experience with Honda Serramonte was positive overall, but could have been a lot smoother. I had communicated with Ken a couple of weeks before buying the car. There was a miscommunication which resulted but could have been a lot smoother. I had communicated with Ken a couple of weeks before buying the car. There was a miscommunication which resulted in a lot more work for me with a very limited time to complete everything so that I could buy the car. Ken and the Honda Serramonte finance team were supportive and patiently worked with me, and there was literally a celebration by all of us, when things were finally worked out. I'm not sure another car dealership would have acted the same. There was little pressure, no haggling and no empty threats. I would definitely recommend Honda Serramonte and highly recommend Ken Lao. More
I bought a used Honda pilot, ended up getting a flat less than two weeks later…car didn’t come with the key to the wheel locks. I also purchased this 1.5 hours away from where I live. We asked multiple times than two weeks later…car didn’t come with the key to the wheel locks. I also purchased this 1.5 hours away from where I live. We asked multiple times before leaving the lot if wheel lock was in the vehicle, sales rep told us yes many times, but no key to the wheel lock was found. So that left us extremely flustered/annoyed/irritated. Called the dealership even spoke with sales rep who sold us the car, he knew he messed up and really didn’t have much to say besides for us to come down and have a key made when that’s a major inconvenience for me when they should have made sure the key to the wheel lock was in the vehicle before someone purchased it. We noticed the snow button in the vehicle was stuck, they told us it would be fine and covered under a warranty and I can fix it back home and kind of just made it seem like it was no big deal and just to fix it at local dealership because of the warranty I have. Went to my local dealership was told it was NOT covered by warranty because the other dealership was aware of it and the car was like that already. Overall, i’m not satisfied; especially when you’re told one thing and and reassured MANY times that everything could be fixed back at home and everything is all good to go, when in fact it’s NOT. Seems like he just wanted to make sure I would buy the car and not back out. More
