Unfortunately I didn’t know at the time I had post concussion syndrome and was in no place to be making decisions. I realized a month after purchase that the A/C was not working. They said no problem it’s still under warranty, gave me a printout, said I could take it to Manly Honda in Santa Rosa, closer to where I live, for repair, which I did. It wasn’t a very hot summer and I hardly drove at all so I didn’t get to really test the AC until January 2026 when I found it to not be working. Took it back to Manly and they said it’s different parts that were broken from 8 months ago even though I disagreed, telling them it never really got cold. Still I need A/C so I tried to find my sales receipt, remembering that I’d bought the warranty from Fidelity Services but was not sure how to access it. I called Edmond who said I should call their finance department. I left two separate messages asking for help getting a copy of my receipt but no one ever called back. Eventually I was able to find it and it turns out all that was needed was the last 5 of my VIN. Perhaps that’s why they never called me back but it’s still rude to not return messages. Luckily most of the part were covered by this warranty but I still had to pay the deductible and a few other things not covered which added up to another $1,300. Plus Serramonte Honda forced me to buy the KARR alarm that I have still not been able to access. I followed the steps they gave but the app doesn’t recognize me. So what did I actually pay for if I can’t access it? Worst of it is that besides the gas mileage, I don’t even like the car. It’s so small and uncomfortable. I never should have tried Honda of any kind and I can’t wait for the chance to try and sell it for a Toyota or any other brand. More
TLDR: Don't buy your car from here if you are Trans or non Binary, unless you want to experience transphobia. During my purchase of my new vehicle i noted that the address on my registration was taken down wrong. The whole time i was told that it would be fixed. Come to find out that it wasn't fixed, when i called they told me i had to do it myself. Furthermore if you are any person from the LGBT+ community I would tell you to steer clear from this place. I am afab and i have a traditionally masculine name. Anytime i would call to try and get the address figured our for my registration they would assume the car wasn't mine. Even after i would go through all their hoops in the verification process. Then when i would ask to not be spoken like I wasn't there I was belittled. I would also like to note that they cracked my windshield as they were cleaning it and said nothing. I was about to drive away when i noticed something. it took three weeks for them to fix this and I was the one that had to keep calling about it. Honda of Serramonte is DISHONEST and PREDATORY. We went in on 12/20/25 to buy a Honda CR-V Hybrid advertised on their website for $23,886, only to be hit with FORCED dealer add-ons after agreeing t We went in on 12/20/25 to buy a Honda CR-V Hybrid advertised on their website for $23,886, only to be hit with FORCED dealer add-ons after agreeing to purchase. The salesperson, Jeff, flat-out lied, claiming the car didn't have a factory alarm and that we were REQUIRED to pay an additional $1,184 for a dealer installed after market, KARR Alarm plus, $159 for a vague "Road Advantage" he never explained. These dealer add-ons increased the price $1,343, above the advertised price. This was a shady bait & switch tactic. They also tried to give us a predatory interest rate on 8.99% even when we have pristine credit. When we tried to resolve the issue directly with the dealership requesting a refund for the KARR Alarm that we were sold under false pretenses, the dealership has not returned our calls. AVOID this dealership, they are dishonest and will try to take advantage of you. I will be following up with reporting this dealership's practices to the CA Attorney General, the DMV, the Better Business Bureau, and the FTC. More
