Definately not the shell game that I have gotten from other dealers in the area. I feel very comfortable working with the team at this Dealership. More
Incredibly Untrustworthy Service Department Like several of the other reviews posted, I wish I could give this place negative stars. THIS HONDA SUPERSTORE TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME. (skip to Like several of the other reviews posted, I wish I could give this place negative stars. THIS HONDA SUPERSTORE TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME. (skip to * for quick read) I religiously got my oil changed at this dealership since it was close to my house. A few weeks ago, I was traveling to Michigan when my wrench came on so I needed to get my oil changed there. When I arrived in Michigan my oil percentage was still at 15%, the percentage that shows when the wrench comes on. While getting my oil changed in Michigan, they showed me my oil stick and told me that my oil was lower than it should be. They were shocked to see that the LISLE dealership had been giving me stickers that said to come in when the wrench came on. Since I have a 2006 model that uses conventional oil, my car should have still been given a sticker that reflected the milage and date of my next service appointment. They explained that newer cars that use synthetic oil can use the "see the wrench schedule your service" method, but not my car and over time it can cause damage. The Lisle dealership never bothered to mention to me that my oil had been low and I needed to service my car more frequently. Not sure if it was pure laziness or if they wanted my car to break so I'd buy a new one from them. My oil change before this recent oil change, was at the Lisle dealership. They informed me that I needed to replace my catalytic converter heat shields ASAP. Since I didn't have $275+ laying around, I asked how long I could get away with it for. The mechanic told me that I could slide by until winter came. He explained that I needed this replaced to protect my engine from salt, and if i didn't replace it by the first snowfall I would get salt inside the engine and destroy it. You never know when the first snow will be in Chicago (and I still don't have $275+ laying around) so I waited until the last possible minute to deal with this- which was after our first snowfall this year. Scrambling to get this done quickly since I was under the impression that I was going to have to buy a new engine if I didn't, I made an appointment for the service. I thankfully decided to call the Countryside Honda dealership to compare their prices for the service. The mechanic I spoke to was 100x's friendlier than the one I spoke to in Lisle. He asked me if the car had been making loud/odd noises from the missing part and I told him no. He said a repair like that isn't necessary and that the catalytic converter itself is sealed and the heat shields do just that- shield from heat. He said that both his car and his wife's no longer have the heat shields & he didn't deem it necessary to replace. I told him again what the Lisle dealership had told me, that it was urgent and essential to replace this part or ruin my engine. He confirmed that their service price was $270 and that it was an expensive repair that I didn't really need unless I lived somewhere like the south and was going to have hay or something like that under my car a lot. So now I'm obviously very irritated conflicted about what to do. I call Lisle to cancel my appointment and ask them to email me the specific repairs I needed in case I was quoting the wrong thing. Still, it was the catalytic converter heat shields that needed replacing. I call a local mom & pop body shop that my family has trusted for years, very good people. I again, go through the story about what the Lisle dealership told me, then what Countryside told me and the mechanic actually starts to laugh and tells me that he agrees with Countryside and it is not necessary to replace. He even goes on to tell me that they usually take them OFF of Honda models because of the way they rust or break down on the car and it wasn't unusual that one of mine was missing. I didn't question his opinion at all but he gives the phone to the manager/owner of the shop (I think for a good laugh) and I explain the story once again and he again, agrees with his mechanic and Countryside and tells me I don't need to replace that part and that I should probably stop going there for oil changes all together. I graciously thank him for his help since I'm a poor 20-something college student with no money or car expertise and he tells me that's what the Lisle dealership was banking on. *As a 20-something female who knows nothing about cars the best advice I can give anyone reading this is not to go here!! I gained an important life lesson about car repairs.... always call for a second opinion! I thought I could trust a certified Honda dealership, and I almost got the recommended repairs no questions asked. I have been a loyal customer to this dealership for years and years and I am horrified and disgusted that they would try to take advantage of me in this way. I thought about contacting the service manager, but I didn't see any point. I don't want any coupons for my next service or oil change, because I don't want any of their mechanics touching my car ever again.* More

I took my Element in for some work shortly after I received this letter and when it was finished they explained at that time that they didn't have the parts in yet to take care of the recall repairs needed, but I was told that i could come in the following week, without an appointment, to get it taken care of. Two weeks later I made another appointment to get the repairs done for this recall and the night before my appointment I received a call saying that they ran out of parts to make the repairs for the recall, but again, I should be able to bring my car in the following week (this week) without an appointment to get the repairs taken care of. So today i called Honda of Lisle AGAIN to make an appointment to get this repair taken care of and this time I was told that - not only do they not have the parts in - but they haven't even been given a part number yet so they can order the part!?!?!?! All of this for a recall they told us about a month ago?!?!?!? Sounds to me like the people at Honda of Lisle are either lying to me or they just don't know what's going on!!! More
Beware of service department Hold on to your wallet and be prepared to need a second mortgage when using Honda of Lisle service department. Every time I bring my car in for an oi Hold on to your wallet and be prepared to need a second mortgage when using Honda of Lisle service department. Every time I bring my car in for an oil change I am told something else needing fixing. Windshield wipers need replacing, time for a new battery, breaks are getting worn, etc. It wasn’t until Jun 2016 that I realized how bad they were ripping me off. I brought it in for a standard 6 month maintenance check and when I picked it up, my AC was broken. I was told that it was just a coincidence that the compressor broke when I picked my car up. $1,000 later I got my car back. Looking online, not only was the charge for Honda parts way above average, so was labor. Service manager said it was just one of those things. So they replaced the cabin air filter and recharged the AC unit, but didn’t try it after? I'm never going back. More
Excellent salesperson - David Fidecki. I came in to get my oil changed, in my CR-V, and was just browsing through the new cars on the floor. David was so patient with me as I was vacillatin I came in to get my oil changed, in my CR-V, and was just browsing through the new cars on the floor. David was so patient with me as I was vacillating between new, certified pre own car, or "just looking". He was not pushy or overbearing. He took the time to explain the differences of each car I was interested. I do not see his name on your list, yet it should be right on top. He is a "keeper" in sales. More

Ripped off by Honda dealership of Lisle Our car had a airbag recall. We brought it to the dealership. They gave us the car back seven weeks later with a new airbag. However, the car alarm, w Our car had a airbag recall. We brought it to the dealership. They gave us the car back seven weeks later with a new airbag. However, the car alarm, which worked fine before we brought it in, was now malfunctioning. The alarm would go off randomly, sometimes at 3am! We brought the car back and they denied any responsibility. They also charged us for the evaluation and refused to give us our car back until we paid the evaluation fee. We will never go back there. Beware parts & labor costs!! They quoted over $400 w installation for a decklid spoiler on a '15 Accord Touring, $310 for just the part. I got it installed at Valley Honda in Aur They quoted over $400 w installation for a decklid spoiler on a '15 Accord Touring, $310 for just the part. I got it installed at Valley Honda in Aurora for $275 total - $204 for the part. Honda of Lisle offered to price match if I showed them the Valley Honda quote on paper. No thanks, how about YOU call them and find out yourself, don't make me work for it!! This is a sign that their P&L costs are wildly inflated, they are not customer service minded, and I'm not interested in working that hard to keep my money when I can go to a nicer, newer, friendlier dealer with more amenities and cheaper costs. SEE, IT CAN BE DONE!! Bye bye Honda of Lisle. Glad that so many people have had a good experience with you, but I bet they're not doing their homework and cross shopping like they should. More
Customer BEWARE! My wife and I brought our Cr-V here for a part recall and in the process of installing the replacement part the service department damaged our vehicle My wife and I brought our Cr-V here for a part recall and in the process of installing the replacement part the service department damaged our vehicle. When we called their attention to the damage, they proceeded to put us through a classic, month-long game of run around. Which included a host of downright contradictions and poor communications before they denied responsibility for the damage. Its also worth mentioning that my family and I have been bringing our vehicles to this location for over 15 years. Based on reviews we found on Yelp and Facebook, I guess they don't care about their reputation and maybe we've been dodging bullets all along. Nonetheless, we will be spreading the word with our families, friends and colleagues. Anyway, very unethical car dealership!!! Be very wary!! Message me for dates, pictures and names of employees involved with this incident. We documented everything. More
